I can have a lot of grace and patience especially for newer staff members who may not have the muscle memory for the job just yet, but I came in this last week, waited in line a bit, and was greeted and served by a newer team member. I came with a few art pieces (none bigger than 9x12 in size) I needed packaged and shipped to 2 different addresses. We sat in there a good 45 min waiting, watching the whole time, she struggled to pack them correctly and something in me knew I should have triple checked if the packing slips ended up with the correct boxes but I decided to trust her. Side note: One of those packages was going to a dear friend who just had a huge loss in her life and the piece I was commissioned to do was to commemorate them at the funeral. I gave myself enough time to ship it out so it arrived on time. I left after waiting a long while to finish up everything and got my tracking numbers. The first package arrived when it said it was going to (the one for the funeral) and she opened it and told me it was the wrong piece. I immediately called the store and Kim was very helpful in getting me new shipping labels to then send to each person and get them to resend each package. Very thankful for her help. I was informed that my inconvenience was noted and that a manager will reach out and follow up. It's been a few days and still haven't heard anything. I can have grace for the new trainee but this is when the importance of what's shipping comes into play, you never know as a customer service rep what's super important and what's not. This particular commission getting there late affects my business and makes me look bad for not getting it there on time. This person paid good money to receive this piece on time and was very disappointed. All of that being said, I will keep coming back, I won't let this deter me from support a local business but I share this experience more for the team. I know things happen and I'm really understanding, it just affected my business in a way that may make me reconsider if I should use their packing services and just package my pieces myself. I will still come back to scan and print and ship.

Every piece of furniture was scratched, broken, or cracked by carelessness by a bunch of clowns that had no idea of what they were doing. To top that they were confrontational with my family and lied so often they forgot the truth. When we got to our new assignment we calculated the loss to be in excess or 20k but their "claims" process was a joke and we collected 3k.

Donnie, Ronnie, Neal, Andrew, Paul, Ira and John were all courteous, respectful of our home and belongings, and were very capable. I booked LMS back in February 2026 to unpack a POD in May. I called probably 3x in between to…read moreverify things, and I'm so glad they didn't want to hang up on my nervous self. (This move has been a stressful one for me.) They called to confirm the night before, and on the morning of, my two gents (shout out to Ross and CJ!) showed up 30 mins early. EARLY! That's unheard of in this day and age. I was impressed!!!! It took these two about 3hrs to unload our 16ft POD. I wasn't aware, but they do a 10% military discount. (We paid cash to avoid the 3% card fee.) There was a $100 deposit at the time of booking, which came off our bill. And of course, we tipped--which they are allowed to accept. (Thanks Ken for being an amazing owner that allows that!) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LMS for your moving needs. While this move was out of pocket for us, I hope that they're contracted with the military for our next (and FINAL, hallelujah) move. Ross and CJ, much love to you both. Communication with the company is essentially nonexistent and I have reached out to handle this matter privately but he refuses to respond- The crew showed up 2 hours after the OWNER arranged the time for pack-out. They "didn't know" they were supposed to pack my things in boxes??? And said they couldn't move us because they didn't bring packing material. I tried to contact Jason via text and call (2x) and the crew called Jason as well. He would only communication with the crew and the only way this ever got discussed was because the crew ended up calling him on speaker phone with me there. Ultimately, the crew moved "what they could" and left everything else for us to move ourselves.... While still charging us the full price I was quoted. Being 7 months pregnant, I hired movers to make the process smooth and easy, and boy was it FAR from that. Again, I have reached out and asked Jason to discuss this experience with me and have heard nothing back from him.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with AWM. What should have been a straightforward…read moremove--essentially the reverse of one they completed for us less than a year ago with the same belongings--turned into a costly and frustrating ordeal. We were given a very low estimate, only to be charged nearly three times that amount at completion, with no warning of potential overages along the way. The company later tried to justify the increase with explanations that were inaccurate, irrelevant, or contradicted by their own prior service. There were no meaningful differences in the move: comparable loads, same building logistics, same conditions. However, the job took significantly longer due to clear on-site inefficiencies, including ongoing crew instruction--time we were billed for. To make matters worse, items went missing during the move and were only recovered after police involvement, despite the company attempting to shift responsibility to us. Attempting to resolve this afterward only added to the frustration. Working with customer service (Charles) was maddening--he was snarky, argumentative, dismissive, and lacked any empathy or professionalism. In the end, we agreed to an insufficient refund that still left us paying approximately double the estimate. Ultimately, this experience felt like a bait-and-switch. The estimate was not honored, accountability was lacking, and the execution fell far below expectations. We do not recommend AWM.

As in other reviews, they started out great but they were hired to completely empty and pack up our home that was damaged from Hurricane Florence. After returning to the home after they "completely emptied" the house we had to have them come back three times for items they didn't pack up the first time. Then during the 8 months they stored our items, they kept trying to bill me more each month even though we had a contract for a pre-determined monthly amount. Then came the happy day when our house was done and we were ready for our personal belongings to be moved back in! Happiness quickly turned to sadness and frustration as I began unpacking boxes while they were moving us in. Six broken items in the first six boxes and many more broken items to come. Many dents and scratches in several pieces of furniture, many items/boxes of items that were not ours and many missing items....expensive items like a TV, a large framed picture, a brand new drill of my husband's, my Ninja blender and more. They "lost" three sets of mattresses, a large mirror to our bedroom set and the glass top to one of our dressers. All of the boxes were genetically marked and were wrong. Many mix-matched rooms in one box from different floors, making unpacking a nightmare. At first the owner Mark Hull was very apologetic and seemed genuinely caring. Then he dropped off the face of the earth. No returned texts, emails, voicemails. Nothing. Even when we requested his insurance information so we could file a claim, nothing. An employee reached out to us to tell us our "missing items" were given away as payroll payment. Do not use this company! According to NCUC they are not even licensed to do storage. They don't have their own moving trucks, which we didn't know because we were back in Maryland the day they packed us up, they rent U-hauls (which broke down the day they were moving our things back in and made them late.) I just want to warn people, if you value your belongings, do not use this company.
