Let me first day both my uncle have owned moving companies in Fayetteville longer than I have been alive. I am now 40. I used these guys to move a few months ago and they did an amazing job. Life threw many curve balls and required me to move back from Richlands to new bern. They moved me again. Amazing service per the usual. everything went into a large shipping container for most part while my new house is being built. James, Melvin and Kenan were so wonderful. Even cracking jokes when I was getting overwhelmed to take my mind off my stress prior to this move, I stopped in office to get more moving supplies. Mr David knew just what I needed. so did Kristen. I can't say enough how thankful I am for these guys. how wonderful they are. they will be coming back to empty my shipping container in a few months into the new house. read more

What a horrible staff. Some woman with a man's haircut runs out the door and up to my car, telling me this private property and to leave. First if it is a business, me pulling into the parking lot is not private, it has to be public for people to access. Second before you react know what is going on. we have several people that have told us horrible stories about them, let's just say now I can confirm. I would not let them move a toothpick. That woman if she was, was biter and old. read more

Moving truck ? Try 4 wooden containers on a flat bed that they nail shut . Not sure why anyone would ever want their belongings moved by this company . They take way longer than needed (4 hours on moving day JUST TO LOAD and one hour prior) to move a small apartment ...with THREE MEN . AVOID read more

My husband went on a lengthy Deployment and so I hired Troy Humphreys to come in and pack out my house and store it. It would have cost the same in the long run to pack up everything myself and store it myself. This way everything is stored in their climate controlled warehouse and surveilanced and the movers were great! I would refer them to a friend and use them again!!!! Jessica read more

The military used this company to pick up and unload our things and looking back I am highly disappointed. The crew had a friendly demeanor but did a terrible job with putting our furniture back together. Unfortunately we didn't see the damage and half-assed efforts until today. They damaged the top of a brand new desk to the point that the screws didn't hold it down when we lifted it, but that's not even the worse part. the worse part was the crib, we just started taking it apart to move it and are appalled with how badly they obviously did not care. Screws were put in the wrong place, some forced into the wrong holes to the point that we couldn't get them out and they didn't use half of the hardware necessary for keeping the changing table together. We didn't know it was THIS BAD. We noticed it the other day when I gently pulled on the front of the crib and saw the top part separate from the rest (a long screw was used in the wrong spot). It's disappointing to think they would be so reckless with a crib. This could have been a safety hazard and possibly would've left us with smashed baby fingers if we hadn't seen this red flag. The worse part is, the gentlemen who was putting it together had told us he had children. Being a father you would think he would have been more caring. I'm frustrated with myself because before they had everything put together they asked me to fill out a review and because they were so nice I didn't think much of it. If you are stuck using this company please watch them like a hawk when it comes to them putting the furniture together. It took the about 3-5 hours for 2 men to try and fail to put our crib together. My husband took it complete apart and within and hour is almost 100% done putting it together. read more

From the first phone call till the delivery they cared and were committed to helping. They were professional, and committed to get a job done well and honestly. This review is for the packing team - Charles, Victoria, and Jeremy. They were experienced professionals who took great care with our household goods. They worked diligently to complete the pack of our 3 bdrm home in one day. They arrived promptly at 0845 and departed by 1730. They marked all of our high value items and answered all of our questions on our post packing inspection. We would gladly invite them back into our home. read more

I would give less than a one star but I can't. I don't know if it's the whole company but the guys who packed our stuff was absolute garbage wouldn't use them again if I was paid too. First I don't even know if they know how to pack. All of our stuff was spread out all over a bunch of boxes stuff from different rooms it was a scavenger hunt finding things. They didnt pack very important stuff we told them to so when we reminded them they just threw it in a box and didn't put it high value . When unpacking stuff was broken and misplaced. My wife's compter was cracked and messed up still can't fnd the screws for the monitor. At one point we heard them breaking stuff in the kitchen and laughing . Makes sure you watch these guys they complain that ppl do that but we know why now. They didnt care about our belonging at all and even asked me if they could have stuff like my TV . Like I said don't know if all the people are like that but out movers were garbage . read more

I have used this company three times in the past year and a half and I had nothing to say but good this before now. I just had a local move which should have been much quicker than the last two have been and it took half a day to move a very small amount of furniture 2 miles. The same amount of furniture when moved much farther about a year ago took half the time. This time I had two items broken, the staff was so slow that we actually started helping move things inside the house ourselves to try to save time. They did not wrap the furniture like the crews did previously and there were scratches on an antique China cabinet and my dining table. They did not even take the legs off my dining table they just tried to squeeze it into the front door which caused scratches on the table. The furniture was not even pushed close to the wall so after they left we had to adjust everything. A two mile move from a 900 square foot apartment with two men took 4 hours. When I called the office I was told that the movers said that hey had done a good job and I was pretty much told that I must have been the problem because I must have been very picky about my things although the past two moves I have been nothing but pleased. The manager did take off $50 but for $100/hr I expected much more. I would never use them again even after singing their praises in the past, they've lost a loyal customer. read more

(This move has been a stressful one for me.) They called to confirm the night before, and on the morning of, my two gents (shout out to Ross and CJ!) showed up 30 mins early. EARLY! That's unheard of in this day and age. I was impressed!!!! It took these two about 3hrs to unload our 16ft POD. I wasn't aware, but they do a 10% military discount. (We paid cash to avoid the 3% card fee.) There was a $100 deposit at the time of booking, which came off our bill. And of course, we tipped--which they are allowed to accept. Most of them, we let do their natural thing, but some close to the house need some special attention. After my first experience with this crew I am confident in the degree of attention they give every single phase of their work, from cutting the trees, ensuring they don't damage septic tank / lines, etc., to dropping the limbs in safe places, preserving surrounding trees, to taking care of their own safety as well as any others around (me!), and cleaning up. They all communicated well with me to ensure they were doing what I wanted done. Two or three of the half dozen or so trees I wanted done in a particular way. There was no "we are the experts; go to the house!" attitude. It was, "we are the experts; help us see what do you want done and lets communicate to plan how best to meet those goals. There ya' go! The entire crew was friendly, helpful, and professional in their approach. I was quite impressed. They conveyed as sense of enjoying their work with trees, which I appreciated. I'm sure I will need tree work every few years and I am confident they are willing and able to do what I need. I would, without hesitation, recommend them to anyone who wants top quality work.

If it were possible to give 6 stars out of 5, I would! I've dealt with many moving companies over the last 35 years and this was my 1st experience with Troy Humphrey Moving & Storage. ALL other moving companies in Jacksonville turned us away because of the short notice and I was expecting the same when I walked into Troy Humphrey Moving & Storage. Donald Humphrey was manning the front desk when I walked in and explained our situation. WITHOUT hesitation, he said they could help and would do everything possible to meet our timeline. The next day he came out to our home and surveyed our HHG. The following day, I met with David Humphrey to discuss a schedule for the packers/movers. David, like his brother Donald was friendly, professional and willing to do whatever it took to meet our near impossible timeline. After working out a schedule that fit our timeline, we were relieved and developed a new appreciation for a business that will do whatever it takes to help you when no one else would. They packed us, moved us, charged us a VERY fair price, took EXCELLENT care of our HHG and treated us like royalty! I cannot say enough good things about Charles, Jeremy, and Victoria! They showed up, introduced themselves when they walked in, and packed my house so quickly!!! They were respectful and courteous, and very careful with my dishes! They even took time to wrap our fire stick and each remote individually and label "living room" or "bedroom" on them!! This is my first move as a military wife and Charles took time to tell me things about the moving process while he was packing!! They were personable and friendly and paid special attention to make sure everything was wrapped up and would not be broken. Victoria said that they "pack other people's things like they would want their to be packed." They were in and out in 3.5 hours, and the men with the moving truck showed up before the 3 packers even left! They made my first move an incredible experience! Charles , Victoria and Jeremy are here packing my house up for another PCS move ! They are so nice and are being so sweet with us having a hyper toddler who wants to know what everyone is doing at all times ! They are fast packers and will get a full 3bedroom 2bath house done in one day ! Very happy with the way things are going ! Charles, his wife Victoria, and Jeremy were so courteous, efficient, and hard working. They went above and beyond to make sure our valuable items were packed right and asked about certain items to make sure we wanted them packed a certain way. They even went the extra mile to leave our bed and TVs up and will send out crew members on the day of pick up to pack that so we can have our bed and tv for the weekend until we officially move. We decided that 70 yrs old is to old to move ourselves,and since my husband is a disabled Veteran, we couldn't do it ourselves. I called and they set up pickup and delivery for the day after Thanksgiving! The 3 young men that came were wonderful!! They wrapped things, and everything was delivered in perfect condition! They were absolutely amazing! Very professional and friendly. I can't tell you how much I have stressed about this move, but as soon as they got here those worries faded away. They were great!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area looking to move. Charles, Victoria, and Jeremy packed up all of our household goods in one day. These men have went above and beyond. We are a military family transitioning and that in itself is uncomfortable and scary enough. I want to make sure that they are recognized not only for their superior job moving and unloading our belongings but how friendly and comfortable they made us feel. If and when I ever have to move again I would only have them do this. Jeff, Jonny, and Ruben are fantastic. Even our dogs loved them!!! read more

Crew of three: Charles, Victoria and Jeremy showed up ready to work. Introduced themselves as they walked in our front door, all three extremely polite and mindful of our belongings. Troy Humphrey completed our move recently - 18th move in 30 years (military family). Absolute best crews we have ever had - great packing, no breakage, no damage to furniture, appliances, or the houses (both pickup and delivery). Courteous, careful, and efficient crews. We had a great team come for part 1 of our move, boxing everything up. They showed up promptly at 8:30 and worked their butts off all day packing our house. They introduced themselves the minute I opened my door and through the whole packing process they asked questions and were courteous! It didn't help my 2 year old was all over the place and in their way, patience is an understatement. Very happy with the way my house was packed! read more

5 stars for the loading and unloading crew we had- Ruben, William, Elijah, and Joe were all very polite, worked extremely hard, got a lot of work done in a short amount of time, and went above and beyond. If you have them as your moving crew, you will have a good experience. read more

The staff was on time, service was fast, packed and loaded in same day, which was not originally scheduled. Charles, Victoria and Jeremy where very professional and courteous to the needs of the client. If you are able to schedule a move by name, I would ask for them! read more
