The front desk staff is super nice and accommodating to the needs of tennants. The maintenance staff is also super nice and response very quickly to most maintenance request. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi here doesn't work really great and the walls are thin so if you have loud upstairs roommates or neighbors, it can get quite loud. Overall pretty good value for the price you pay and a lot of amenities if you choose to use them. read more

I've lived at Evolve Student Living for two years, and it's hands down the best place I've ever lived. The amenities are fantastic (gas grills and fire pit, humongous pool, breakfast in the morning, gym, tanning, and Starbucks coffee to name a few), the staff is so friendly and helpful, and the apartments themselves and stylish and clean. Payments are unbelievably easy. As a resident, they make it really easy to be able to check your balance online through your account on their website. Also, you can pay rent month-to-month or all at once. Utilities are also payable directly through your resident account. Whenever I've had an issue, I can call or text the office and it's either fixed by the end of the day or we made a plan to fix it ASAP. If you contact management, they're really flexible with payments and are even willing to set up a payment plan with you as long as you keep them in the loop. I'm so sad to be moving out in July; the only bummer about Evolve is that they don't have a single bedroom floorplan. Even after I move out I'll definitely sneak back in for breakfast. As a Grand Valley student I have LOVED living at locale! It is super close to a bus stop which is convenient to get to and from class even in the winter time! The apartments are super nice and cozy and the amenities are amazing. My favorite part is the pool and pool deck! The maintenance team is also one of the best ever! Although this is my first semester being here, I have really enjoyed my stay here at Locale. The staff is super nice and friendly and they really care about their residents. Locale constantly has different events and contests going on at least once per month. They also are very on top of keeping up on maintenance and keeping the property nice and clean. Which I really appreciate because the last complex I lived at was really bad at that. The amenities are nice but lacking in some areas (small details, nothing major). My only major complaint is the amount of parking for residents. When I tend to stay out late I always seem like I have to hunt for a spot to park when I get home. Otherwise, I have thoroughly enjoyed living here at locale, and I would highly recommend it!!! read more

I still have not received my my missing package and the alpine was the first pool to open which is where I'll be living next year. I do pay over $700 a month to live here and it has gotten up to$730. To add to this, I recently moved out and they charged me $75 for my forgotten shower curtain being left as well as no more than 10 items of food forgotten in the fridge. read more

They are really good. The manager is really nice and very helpful. The apartments building are clean and if anything goes wrong the maintenance team is super helpful to fix it. I had two issues with my bathroom door and my window had a draft and the blinds were broken and I just put in a request to get it fixed and the very next day they sent someone out to help. I just wished it didn't take forever to get the dang tv to turn on but that's not that important. The only thing that sucks is there's dog poop everywhere it's disgusting and it's not evolves fault that the dogs owners don't pick it up since they have doggie bags for that reason but I feel like they should enforce that the owners must clean up after their dogs read more

Locale is actually a great place to live. I moved here in 2017-2018 for grad school and it's single-handedly the prettiest apartment complex to live in in this area. One positive thing I can say about Locale is that they try. They try very hard to show you they care about your stay here. They have a lot of activities where you can come, get free food, and socialize (if that's you). Last thanksgiving they have a small feast. It was actually brilliant. There was different pies, turkey, mashed potatoes, this delicious drink (I don't remember the name) and other types of food as well. For Cinco de Mayo this year, they had slightly frozen mango with tajin and lemon. It was devine. The community is also very safe and well lit at night. Maintenance are a gem. They are super kind and always helpful. They typically come on time and really do fix the problem. There's a fire pit here and three grills for anyone to use. The design of this complex is quite impressive for off campus student housing. And the price makes sense. I pay $757 for a two bedroom and that's with electricity and water. They have made significant improvements from when I was a first time grad student. In the summer time the grass is well-manicured and the cemented walkways and sidewalks are clean and poop free. The staff really do their best to be polite and friendly and the are truly professional. I can go on about how they have breakfast for us every morning and do their best to remain stocked through out the week. Again the maintenance team is a pretty big deal. I had an issue with my bathtub not draining. I spoke to them about it and on the same day they came to fix the issue. I haven't had any issues ever since and I'm very grateful for that! Now where there are pros, there are cons. During the winter months, there can be dog poop on the snow/grass. But! That's not because of Locale themselves. The people living here are supposed to pick up after their dogs and they are told repeatedly to do so but maybe because of winter and it being cold, they don't always do that. Also, the two bedroom is significantly smaller than the three and that's utterly frustrating because you pay more. But! Of course you only have one roommate as opposed to two and if you didn't come with your friend group, having two roommates can be a bit vexing. Note: Locale did something wonderful for me when I was going to leave my three bedroom situation. They waived my transfer fee and I only paid what was deducted from my previous payment. I was ecstatic. They really do try to work with you. Sometimes things may not work out but that's life. The walls are a bit thin but to honest, I think that's just the entire buildings here in Allendale. I've lived in another complex and it was the same. I lived at The Lodge in Allendale and the walls were super thin so don't believe the hype. That's the same everywhere here. The residents here are nice also and I think they are mostly welcoming. I'm not the most social and can get annoyed quite easily but so far people have been nice. I'm giving Locale 5 stars on Yelp because I don't think they need their rating to increase to at least a 4. Im going back to GVSU again for a different Masters and know I will be happy renting here. ***I wish they had one bedroom apartments though**** read more
