What a stay. We were so happy with this place. The room was inviting, comfortable and extremely clean. The staff was pleasant and professional. The breakfast in the restaurant was great. The kitchen staff made sure everyone was happy. The office staff made you feel welcome from the time you checked in until the time you checked out.

First the great: We…read morestayed here for two nights, and were blown away by front desk service we received from Tyler. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very, very helpful. Thank you, Tyler! We also received exceptional service from our Saturday morning server, Charleine. We ordered off the menu (instead of the buffet). She was thoughtful, cheery, and attentive without being intrusive. Just the traits I truly appreciate in a server. The food itself from breakfast menu was delicious and the servings were ample. Coffee was delicious and I appreciated that they left the pot on the table for me. Pizza we ordered from room service was also tasty. The hotel in general has a swanky feel, and that's not a bad thing. Our room was lovely; very roomy and clean, and our mattress and pillows were SO comfortable! The room itself was very quiet, even though we were near the elevators and ice machine. Now the not so great: The A/C in the room runs very, VERY loud. If you can't handle that when you sleep, then this is not the place for you. Rob was our server on Sunday morning. I'd like to say that we received the same great service, but we did not. He was not at all attentive; he seemed like he didn't want to be there. It took three requests for me to just get a glass of water. We ordered a pizza from room service. They brought up a pizza in a box, but that was it. There were no plates, silverware, or napkins. Seems a little ridiculous for room service.

We just arrived at the Delta Hotel after a 5hr drive. Let me rewind here for a second. The reason…read morewe selected this hotel is because they allow pets, as well as the location. We are traveling with our golden retriever. A month ago we booked a presidential suite via the Bonvoy website as we wanted plenty of room. A week prior to our vacation I double checked the reservation and saw the following statement "Please note that not all preferences are guaranteed." Trying to figure out how that applies, we contacted the hotel to speak to someone to confirm our reservation with a pet. We were told that pets are excluded from the presidential suites. Nowhere on the website does it mention that pet are designated to specific rooms only. We ended up booking a smaller 2 room suite with a kitchenette (sink, microwave, small fridge and Kurig k-cup coffeemaker). We arrived late afternoon after traveling for 5hrs. We did bring a few small grocery items that we placed in the fridge. I spent 20 minutes trying to get the coffeemaker to work only to realize that the pump is broken in the machine. No towels to wipe the water up in the kitchen area. No utensils, plates or napkins provided incase you want to heat something in the microwave. In addition, the two room suite that we ended up booking DOES NOT match the photos on their website. The hotel is apparently going through renovations and the images they are showing are the updated rooms (what they WILL look like once renovations are completed). Not cool! We're spending $1200 for 2nights. We've been here an hour and so far I'm not impressed.

Rooms vary widely in size and shape from typical small hotel size to spacious suite. Hotel is old and outdated but in decent condition. Hallways & elevator are narrow. Ice is only available on first floor. Bed is on firm side. Amenities such as restaurant and fitness are closed. Breakfast is a bagel, toast or muffin. Free parking lot. Convenient to downtown strip and next door to locks. You will hear the ships blowing their horns as is required when they exit the locks. Staff is mediocre.

Our room wasn't ready at 3pm. Told come back in 20 minutes. Nope still not ready. Sat around with luggage for an hour before we could check in. Front desk staff. check out was rude, and unacceptable. Didn't acknowledge us standing there. Didn't speak to us. Printed our receipt, tossed it on counter. I asked to speak to manager, she held up sticky note that said "what for?". I wasn't sure why she wasn't talking. Maybe a handicap I thought . She just ignored us. I asked again. she wrote another note...what for?...I asked if management is there. She wrote another note...No. my husband asked if there was coffee? She ignored him. He asked again. She wrote ...It's broke. I saw someone come out of office. I asked if there was a manager. She said yes I'm manager. Really?? Front desk just lied and said you weren't here. We told her everything that happened. She didn't seem really concerned. Apologized and said she'd talk to employe. we told her if that was our employee they'd be fired on the spot. Front desk staff is first impression of hotel. Cleaning staff ...did excellent job with what they have to work with. Hotel needs major updating . Tables in our room were all scratched up and old. Bathroom floor tile cracked. Paying for all amenities and not being available and hotel needing repairs is not acceptable. For a Ramada property and cost it should be much much better. Maybe worth 89.00 to 100.00 a night. Definitely not worth $171.00 night.

The hotel itself is modern and clean. There's lots of free parking in the hotel lot. There is a hot breakfast buffet that is included in the price of the room. They do not rotate items like most hotels do. They only have scrambled eggs and flat round sausages. They have 1 waffle maker. While we were there the juice dispenser was out of order. They did have ice water, and coffee and tea though. They have a few selections of cereal, packets of instant oatmeal (with walnuts, raisins and brown sugar as toppings), fruit salad (which was mainly honey dew and cantaloupe, with a bit of pineapple, grapes and oranges), yogurt, muffins, English muffins, bagels and sliced bread. They have 1 conveyor belt toaster and it is really slow. I did like that the tea and coffee station was open 24 hours. You can also get hot chocolate at this station. The staff are really nice. I usually write a little note to housekeeping staff thanking them and leave the note along with the tip, and more often than not they just clean the room and take the tip, but one day at the Fairfield, one of the housekeeping attendants wrote me a note back wishing me a nice day and drew a happy face. How nice is that? She even signed her name. It was a bit hard to read, but I think it said "Danuta." On our last morning there, it was so busy that the kitchen attendant had a difficult time keeping everything stocked. She was definitely stressed, but maintained her professionalism. Kudos to her (didn't get her name though, sorry). Overall, the hotel was great, but I have had better breakfast buffets (I really prefer some rotation of items, and I felt that the sausage was under-cooked and the scrambled eggs were a bit watery).

It is definitely old, and I don't think has ever been renovated which by itself, while not ideal, is not an issue. However, it was disgusting. The smell alone was putrid whenever you entered the elevators and rooms, and all carpets had stains on them (the entire hotel is carpeted). The room made me feel very icky, although I will say that the sheets seemed clean. I don't recommend anyone to stay there unless they did some major renovations.

Great souvenir for a 9 hour stay that cost me $155. The place felt frozen in time, like the furniture's been there since day one, and it smelled like very old cigarette smoke. The air in our room was heavy and stale until the AC did overtime. Parking? Basically zero. We parked at the front doors like valet... minus the valet. Check in was smooth, but nobody mentioned breakfast hours, so we missed it I've asked for a full refund and written proof that Room 703 and the rooms next, above, and below are pulled from service, professionally inspected and treated, and cleared before reuse. If we have to bring exterminators into our homes because of this, that's hundreds to thousands times two, way more than one night. This isn't a "sorry for the inconvenience" moment, fix it properly and put it in writing.
