The sink was nearly unusable as it was placed in a very narrow spot and the bowl, although very modern, had a funny angle that made it difficult to get your hands or a washcloth into. The motel is in a good location for sightseeing. Sault Ste. Marie to the east and multiple lighthouses and waterfalls to the west. Overall this was a good stay.

Very clean, comfortable beds, ample parking even if you have a trailer, some units are pet friendly too. Having a kitchen, with clean dishes, is awesome as well as having laundry on site! The beds were comfortable, one of them was brand new! The bathroom was small but there was excellent water pressure and good, hot water. Our cabin had all the basics including all kitchen ware, a coffee maker, hair dryer, TV/VCR/DVD player and alarm clocks. Outdoors, our yard included a screened in attached porch, fire pit (wood included), picnic table, chairs and a cafe table and a clothesline. The property sits on the edge of Lake Superior and has private beach access. The beach has beautiful Great Lakes sand and cool, clear water. The beach is lined with adirondack chairs and they have inner tubes for the kids. The owners work hard to maintain their property and therefore can be a bit persnitickity about their cabins and property. Don't be put off; this place is terrific and they are the reason why. Do bring your own marshmallow forks; it's the one thing we didn't find. And, do your grocery shopping before you get to Paradise; the grocery store is a whole different ball game!

We also received exceptional service from our Saturday morning server, Charleine. We ordered off the menu (instead of the buffet). She was thoughtful, cheery, and attentive without being intrusive. Just the traits I truly appreciate in a server. The food itself from breakfast menu was delicious and the servings were ample. Coffee was delicious and I appreciated that they left the pot on the table for me. Pizza we ordered from room service was also tasty. The hotel in general has a swanky feel, and that's not a bad thing. Our room was lovely; very roomy and clean, and our mattress and pillows were SO comfortable! The room itself was very quiet, even though we were near the elevators and ice machine. Now the not so great: The A/C in the room runs very, VERY loud. If you can't handle that when you sleep, then this is not the place for you. Rob was our server on Sunday morning. I'd like to say that we received the same great service, but we did not. He was not at all attentive; he seemed like he didn't want to be there. It took three requests for me to just get a glass of water. We ordered a pizza from room service.
