Go see for yourselves. We liked it so much. It was our planned stop in route to Moulin Rouge, and that proved to us that we just had to bring our tribe with us on the way back. That's right. It was good, but I'd say it wasn't crazy strong. My wife got the Miami Vice Negroni and we both thought it was meh. Being as you're in Montmartre, there are plenty of bars to visit. I'd definitely make Dirty Dick a spot to visit if you're doing a crawl.

That vibe really is a hidden gem and finding it is worth with the effort. The drinks are designed with complexity and creativity in mind, and presentation is top notch, as our the flavors. The passion fruit cocktail was absolutely delicious, could have put back three to four of them without thinking twice. Staff is very attentive and great with recommendations based on your flavor likes and spirit of choice. The bar is what cost to Moulin Rouge in case you want to see a show before it after. Either way, definitely go by and grab a drink if you're in the area

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!

Still a strong mix of anglophones but locals seem to balance out the crowd. Fairly priced cocktails. I had the Beatrix which was a little too bitter for my taste, so switched out to the Pale Ale which was tasty. The live music was fantastic! Not sure if the ensemble is there every weekend, but they made a great trio. I'd visit when/if in Pigalle again.

The place was relatively small but very imaginative. It was themed in perfect character of the neighborhood (full of hookers, sex shops, and strip clubs, etc.) complete with a pole, for your friends that get a little lose after a few drinks and as many scarlet color accents to get you in a maudlin mood for the night. We stuck to beers as we really had no intention on stopping to drink at all but we wanted to rest our feet for a few moments and the happy hour sign pulled us in. I should have tried a few cocktails as the bartenders looked like seasoned veterans across the bar concocting drinks like mad scientist. They made many of the ingredients themselves and I just wish I could have tasted some of everything. Needless to say, I'll pop back into this place the next time I'm in the neighborhood, as I do rather enjoy the place.

I would definitely recommend this place for small groups, the atmosphere is relaxing and so is the music. The only major downside for me was the bathroom, there is only one downstairs and it's not very clean. I was grossed out a bit by that I must say. Everything else is great, if you're with friends maybe it's worth to check this place out.

I suggest getting there when they open (7pm) if you're a little group, to assure you'll have a place to sit/be together!

Peter (I think that's his name, but I was hammered, so could well be Rudolph for all I remember), walks in and takes his place behind the bar. We start exchanging stories of how we met Lemmy back when he was immortal... Aaaaaand... it was all uphill from there on. We slap some Motörhead on the sound system, cranck it up to 11... and the rest is history. I did mention the best cocktails this side of Manhattan. Let me explain: 50ml of Gentleman Jack 20ml of maple syrup 2 dashes of angostura bitters Top off with stout or porter beer. Grate some Tonka bean on top That called a Lemmy Angel and it's MAGIC! He and some friends went to this bar and spent an afternoon there. When they went to pay, the proprietor asked if they could spare any food instead to feed his family. There was little food available to buy. They gave him their K-Rations, keeping just one to share amongst themselves that evening. So for us to return and find this fun, vibrant bar there was priceless. We had written the bar earlier and made reservations and he was as excited to welcome us as we were to be there. Top that off with great specialty drinks, including what had been my father's favorite! Limited food menu but it was tasty! Fun atmosphere and decor! Be sure you give it a try.
