Came for sandals and left with tan boots - on sale and…read morecouldn't resist the price - and sneakers that work like shoes since they had mixed fabric and leather and colors of tan, gold and leopard. So cute and fashionable, can wear with track pants, jeans or a dress. Definitely a score! The store is large and rows and rows of sneakers, shoes, sandals, boots of every designer and style. It can be overwhelming especially when you need to try on a different size and can't find your way back to the right aisle. Some sections are marked, but others, like sketchers, are located in several different places. They carry all the usual suspects - Sketchers, Nike, Reebok, New Balance, Birkenstock, Fry, Uggs, Ryka, Clarks, White Mountain, Puma, Adidas and more. Prices are good, but I always do a search online to make sure it's the best price available. Many times it is, but sometimes the same shoe can be bought online for less so if it fits and I like it, I order it online. I come to the physical store because I need to try on shoes. I need arch support and a wide toe bed so I can't take a chance of buying shoes or sandals without testing them out. Famous Footware also sells online and since I loved the sneakers so much, and knew they fit well after wearing a few weeks, I bought another pair online in white and silver. If you sign up for their rewards program, they ship to your house for free and you can return at the store for free if it doesn't work out. There were a few people working but they don't offer help. Assuming it's because their business model is more of a do it yourself model . They put all the shoes and sizes out in the floor and you find and try on what you like. It got tiring because I tried on so many and was conscientious and pout everything back that didn't work out.

I went in to pick up…read morea new pair of shoes for my son and was immediately welcomed by friendly staff at the entrance. That first impression really set the tone for the rest of our visit. When we made our way to the shoe department, the associates there were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help. They answered our questions, helped us find the right size, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. It's refreshing to shop somewhere that values customer service and actually takes the time to acknowledge you. Of course, I couldn't leave without finding something for myself! I ended up grabbing a pair of Nike slides, and they've turned out to be one of my favorite purchases lately. They're unbelievably comfortable -- basically like wearing slippers -- and I find myself reaching for them every single day. Overall, it was an easy, enjoyable shopping trip, and I'll definitely be heading back to Dick's the next time we're in the market for shoes.

I had no intention of stealing anything; rather, wanted to buy a tennis racket but there was no "pro" or anyone else there that offered to help. Then to footwear to look for tennis shoes, no one to help there either. Lastly, the fishing department and to no surprise, no one to help there either. Also, end caps in several departments were empty with only a few things on hooks, similar to most of the fishing department. It was not easy for me to go back to Dicks after I swore I never would after they started removing the gun department, first the pistols, then the black rifles, then the entire department but I thought they'd have a nicer selection of tennis racquets, which they didn't...none in my size of 4 5/8" grip. I guess there's some truth to the saying "When you go woke, you go broke", will not ever visit another Dicks Sporting Goods AND might want to think about adding a few employees to this store or just close down!

At the time of writing this review, the Yelp listing for "Columbia Gorge Outlets by Simon Property…read moreGroup" was closed (I believe somewhat recently). "Yelpers report this location has closed." However, that's not true because we just shopped here. I submitted edits to Yelp to remove "by Simon Property Group" from the business name and reopen the listing. Hopefully, by the time you read this, the listing will be open again. According to a January 25, 2016 article by Chain Store Age, Simon Property Group sold "Columbia Gorge Premium Outlets" to New York-based Time Equities Inc. (TEI) for $28,425,000: https://chainstoreage.com/real-estate/time-equities-acquires-columbia-gorge-premium-outlets-000 Currently, Columbia Gorge Outlets is managed by Norris & Stevens. According to TEI, the 164,236-sf outlet mall "is 87% leased to 37 tenants. All the tenants are national retailers." https://timeequities.com/properties/columbia-gorge-outlets Our group of eight visited Portland for vacation. We stayed in the city and took a day trip to hike in the nearby Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. We stopped by this outlet mall to pick up some items for hiking. For example, someone bought a shirt from the Columbia Factory Store and another person got shoes (sneakers) from Famous Footwear Outlet. This outlet mall is conveniently located right off I-84 exit 17 (Marine Drive / 257th Avenue) in Troutdale, Oregon. Troutdale is a suburb of Portland. The two cities are about 16 miles apart and both are located in Multnomah County. The outlet mall is about halfway between Portland and where we hiked (Wahkeena Falls). Great location for what we needed. Columbia Gorge Outlets is one of the smaller outlet malls I've visited. The size and look of it is more akin to a typical American suburban shopping center than a sprawling outlet mall. In terms of appearance and amenities, it was pretty standard. Before heading out, a few of us used the restrooms by the mall's offices on the south side of the property. Overall, the property was clean and expectedly peaceful and quiet during our visit on a Friday morning around 10:38am.

Boot Barn is a really cool place! I went in to find a pair of boots, and never having been to Boot…read moreBarn before, was honestly overwhelmed by the huge selection. The front of the store has the conventional "cowboy" boots and hats, ranging in price from "oh, that seems reasonable" to "WOW! I never realized that these were so expensive!". The back of the store has a huge selection of fashionable work footwear, and the middle of the store has many racks of apparel. Boots are arranged by size (just as shoes in a shoe store are), but the signage was easy for me to overlook. After spending a lot of time generally feeling lost, the only on-duty employee came over and provided a HUGE amount of help. She spent a lot of time bringing me boots of various styles and price ranges, various insoles to try them with, and explained to me that they could stretch three different areas of the boots if a liked pair needed a bit of adjustment. I ultimately selected a really nice pair that carried a high price tag, but this truly seems like a one-time investment, so I didn't mind this. I'm really impressed with Boot Barn, and highly recommend it if you're looking for Western wear or Western work shoes or boots. Don't let the toppled wooden horse in the parking lot dissuade you.

This is nothing like going to a local feed store or shoe store to find hats and shoes and jeans. They have so much more, the boot selection is even better than what I've seen in Nevada casinos and large western shops. In other states. I was extremely impressed with the accessories for hats, necklaces earrings clothing options are also impressive. The staff was very nice. Nobody swarmed us or bugged us to make a sale. They were very hands-off until you asked a question. Then they were polite and helpful. The prices were better than expected. Everything is so expensive anymore. It's a little scary to look at Price tags. I was able to get two hat, bands, a new hat, a brand new Levi sleeveless shirt for my husband's birthday All for 100 bucks incredibly good price considering what we got. I've heard from a few friends that the other locations are equally well stocked. Definitely will be going back here. The only place that has more stuff than this is the triple agent In Salem, Oregon so that's really saying something if you know you know.
