I've never forgot them. Bought a pump shotgun from them. It had a pistol grip. Seemed to cycle correctly in the store. Took it home and it jammed constantly. I took it back to them twice and they promised to fix the issue. They never even looked at it. I could tell I checked it out and had a gunsmith fix it after picking it up the second time. He not only fixed it but told me no one had taken the gun apart recently before he did when he fixed the issue. The lying, scum worker at the counter gave me a BIG smile both times he handed the gun back to me. He stated he'd worked on the gun and it cycled for him fine with no issues when he shot it. This was the old store at Campbell and Sunshine where this transpired. Loftis is always has been and always will be one of the most crooked pawnshops in Springfield. Even for a pawnshop they're at the absolute bottom of the barrel. I'd not do business with them for any reason. A person would be better off attempting to do business with a loan shark than with Loftis Pawn. Do yourself a favor: STAY AWAY!!! read more

It seems like the owner hand picked the 5 dumbest and most ignorant people he could find to run his store and said here's the keys we open at 9.i went in there last Friday and bought a Psa 7.5 AR pistol listed as 556.even when I walked in the store I told the man I was only looking for a 556 pistol he said I got the perfect thing for you and showed me what I ended up buying.yes it was a pretty decent riffle for the price they were charging so ofc I go ahead and buy it.in there computer and also on the receipt I have it shows they have that gun listed as a 556.i take it out to Cherokee to go shoot it the first time yesterday and no matter what I do it wont cycle the bolt won't even fall in place correctly so I ask a instructor to come check it out for me.it takes him about 2 seconds to figure out these idiots sold me a 300 black out listed as 556.so as any angry customer that almost just blew there new gun up in there face cause of running the wrong ammo through it I went up there after already spending 140 dollars on 556 that day.i get there I tell them they made a huge mistake and it really could of injured me and they need to fix it.they laughed it off and acted like it was nothing and offered a few boxes of shitty 300 black out ammo the cheap kind and said that's all we can do for you. Then proceeded to say "maybe know what caliber gun your buying before leaving the store" and didn't want to take any accountability for one of there dumb ass staff being to lazy to make sure they had it listed under the right caliber.asked to speak to the owner never got to do that ether seemed like even the owner didn't care about a SERIOUS MISTAKE THEY MADE THAT CAN INJURE SOMEONE SEVERELY..long story short don't buy from these idiots especially not a gun if you would like for ur gun to not almost blow up on u for there mistakes. OH...let's also add how the guy that sold me the gun told me he would sell it to me for 450 out the door that mean I'm only supposed to be paying 450 with tax no he told me that then proceeded to try and charge me 500 dollars out the door so I called him out on it and they ended up taking a 50 dollar loss do to ignorance one again also he broke the brace on it and didn't mention anything ab it to me so I didn't realize till I get to the car and at that point I had already bought it and didn't want to go deal with them again and just went home.like I said don't buy anything from these pple they don't care ab u they only care ab there money read more

Very disappointed, I stood in the store waiting to be helped for 15 minutes. There was only two customers in the store besides me. So I understand patience's, but to see another customer walk in and be assisted within 3 minutes without me even being greeted is very disturbing. I bought 2 seperate items there and they both didnt work. One was a tablet, which I checked before I left, only to get it home and not be able to use it after the factory reset. I called and they were helpful but when I came back to the store, they refused to make it right and broke me down to tears in the store. They had no sympathy or empathy and were just rude and nasty. They eventually took the tablet back so they could resale it. I am amazed at how I just told them it is useless without the owners acct info and not being able to reset it and they are going to resale it and do this again to somebody else!!!!! read more

When I begun buying from Loftis Jewelry back in the 1980s it was a family that cared, catered to your needs and knew you by your name, now it's a corporate money making almost mob like extortion of pawn fees and practices. After I complete this nightmare of a last transaction from the new owners I will never again purchase, pawn or recommend them to anyone. It's bad enough having to pawn something that's sentimental to you just to pay cancer medical bills, but then to be told you gotta buy it back at 3 times what you paid after paying on it for almost a year, that's not service, that's not community, that' border line loan shark fees, that's pure greed, without compassion, credit for buying it from them in the first place, much less all the years of dedicated business, it's sad, unprofessional and not the Loftis family way, which is clear now that they are out of the picture. I pray I can get my ring without too much grief and greed, I signed up up for this, but I think a loan shark would have more compassion. read more
