I've brought my car here for 3 years and even though I don't live nearby anymore I still bring it to Log Cabin if I can. It's not easy to find a trustworthy shop, but these guys are honest, hardworking and FAST. They've helped me out in a pinch a few times and I'll always vouch for them solely for the reason that they will always at least try to accommodate the customer's wishes to the best of their abilities. They're honest when they say why they can't fix something and what needs to be done. If it's something substantial they'll give you a heads up beforehand, so that you won't have any surprises in the bill. read more

After switching mechanics I see how I was ripped off for years with these long winded, angry explanations of impossible to find parts blah blah and how my husband didn't maintain vehicles correctly when someone else would do even an oil change. In 2020 I bought an original 1965 1 owner Mustang. Had it towed to their previous location. Communication was ok but not great. Service...I initially brought in a running car that had a transmission that needed a rebuilt due to leaks. Car had been sitting in a garage for a long time. It was started fairly regularly but not driven recently due to transmission leak. I asked for the owner to go over the car and let me know what it needed. We started with the transmission. Its a C4, easy rebuild. Overcharged me and sent out to a transmission builder. 3,200 dollars later. Next was gas tank, needed to be replaced. This I understood due to the car sitting so long. Then the Water Pump, then the Carburetor, then the radiator and the belts and hoses. I was told that the engine was bullet proof so I was not concerned. I wanted to replace the brakes with power ones. I was then told that the rear end was not original to the car due to a tag code they gave to the "brake expert" who told them it was a 7 3/4 rear not an 8 inch. Since ford only used two and one 7 3/4 inch rear end has a four lug wheel set and the 8" has a five lug plus the rear end has a front facing plate to distinguish between the two, I started to get concerned that these guys didn't know what they were doing. How right I was. When they called me to tell me that there was something wrong with the Engine....I was concerned. They had told me a year earlier that the engine was fine, bulletproof was the word they used. Now, it needed to be rebuilt AND they wanted to send the engine to Florida to rebuild it!!! This is when I started to really panic and look elsewhere to get the work done. So, after paying them over 12 grand, I got the car back due to their move to the new location and now a year later I have an update on their work......Water pump had to be replaced again, the one they installed was faulty. Carburetor needs to be rebuilt again. The brakes were never completely installed. I had the engine rebuilt locally, in Paterson and the rebuild shop informed me that my original 289 block.....was cracked. Heartbroken. An original Matching numbers 1 owner car is ruined. I trusted them and their work and I was wrong. I had to buy another block, another water pump, and have to pay to get the Carburetor rebuilt again. One more note, I bought new Rims and tires through them because I had planned on doing that anyway and two of the tires will not fit on the car because they are too big for the front. Another flag that they really do not know what they are doing. Do not not make the same mistakes. Go elsewhere. Expensive lesson learned. Steve read more

Had a hitch and wiring installed. They did a good job. When I asked for something to be redone, the owner and another tech were a little gruff but not too bad. The tech who did my installation was super friendly. I'd definitely come back for future installations and repairs. read more

Not coming back. Needed a new Air fuel sensor in my Toyota. Was quoted $400 from Toyota so i figured id look around(since its usually cheaper). I called and got an estimate of $250-300 and proceeded to drop off my car. Got a call a few hours later stating it would be a little more since I needed a different sensor. When to pick up my car and saw the bill of over $400!!!. I should of went with Toyota! I ended up getting aftermarket parts-Not genuine Toyota Parts and grease all over my carpet, door jam and seat. If i went with Toyota I would of left with a clean car (free car wash) and genuine parts!! read more

When I purchased my classic car (a '77 Monte Carlo) and researched a local shop that could service it, I landed on Log Cabin. Tony, Joe and team consistently perform A+ work. I take my car in seasonally for regular maintenance or the occasional old car repair, and the work is always done right, with a level a completeness that is not short of caring for one of their own cars. Car is clean in and out, and they always go above and beyond to ensure all older systems that are prone to failure, (trans seals, valve cover gaskets, hoses, etc.) are checked and replaced as necessary. For anyone that owns a classic vehicle, you can have the confidence that when you take it out of winter storage it will be ready for the road. My go to mechanic over the "stealership" any day. Brought my Infiniti G37 coupe in for new brakes and rotors and was completed in a timely fashion and great price by worker Joe. The rear rotors shipped were the wrong size but they got the correct ones shipped within 25 minutes which was great! My car now brakes smoothly and on a dime and Joe test drove the car before leaving to ensure everything was running properly and there was no squeaking. So I've been trying to find a trusted mechanic for a long time (many I've walked away from), and finally have come across Log Cabin Service. I was in desperate need for rear brakes (pads and rotors) and the mechanic Joe, did an awesome job. Brakes are whisper quiet and no more pulsating! The prices are just right and they are very professional to deal with. They finished my car in a timely manner and even put a little paper mat over my floor mats so they didn't dirty them! I own a BMW 645CI. I had taken the car to the dealer for work, the rates were outrageous. I was referred to Log Cabin since they work all on makes and models. First the staff is great, helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to correct the issue where BMW was telling me it was something else. The repair at the dealer was over $1,200 Log Cabin corrected the problem for around $800.00 645 BMW are very finicky cars and heavy maintenance I feel very comfortable and have taken my car back to them on several occasions. read more
