I needed a 30k service for my MB CLA45 AMG. I called the dealership and they quoted me $2500 just for the service itself. A coworker recommended this place to me and I'm so thankful that they did. When I first called, they quoted me $110+tax for my whole service including labor. I knew my brake pads and rotors were on their way out but he called me telling me that they were more far gone than I should've ever let them go. He replaced all my brakes and rotors at the same time and saved. me. a. fortune. They're Benz certified, so they had all the parts for my car on hand already unlike some other dealers that needed me to call ahead so they could order my filters & brakes. When I drove off, it was like driving a brand new car. Be sure to use cash to pay for the service, though. Udo took care of my 2010 Infiniti EX with 100k+ miles by fixing transmission problem, engine problem, and did a tune-up for a very good price. I was even able to negotiate. His mechanics, Mark and Joe are very knowledgeable and helpful people. I would definitely use his service again! read more

I own an older Benz with almost 200k on it, and have been to the dealership, which obviously does good work (and charges a lot) and another indie in the area who also did good work (quite expensive). After coming here, I will never take my car to anyone else but Udo. Not only does his shop do immaculate work, know exactly what they are doing, and won't blow smoke up you know where, but he will try to charge you the least he possibly can. I even pay less for oil changes with him than I would if I went to a cheap quick lube place, and he uses only Agip oil. Heck, he's even helping me get a new set of tires at least possible price, knowing which ones are exactly what I need without paying a ridiculous amount of cash. If you expect Udo or his staff to sweet talk you, don't go there. If on the other hand you want to be treated fairly and have top notch mechanics work on your high end European car for reasonable prices, I highly recommend this place. Joe worked on my 08 CLS63 AMG and I was so impressed by his methodical, diagnosis skills as well as his refusal to take short cuts by throwing part after part on the car until it's fixed. His recommendation on things to fix rejuvenated the car to a level I didn't think possible, he is a real pro and my car runs and idles like new. I cannot recommend Udo's highly enough. So many mechanics out there charge you an arm and a leg and then stiff you on price and quality. Udo's is fairly priced, they tell it to you how it is, and they use authentic parts. Most importantly, they are extremely knowledgeable. Within minutes of showing up, they diagnosed the issue with my car and while they were repairing it, discovered a half-dozen other issues that would've caused me a huge headache later on. I give Udo 6 stars. I had problem with my convertible Benz, The roof was not working and I was told just to leave it alone or spend thousands on fixing it. Udo found the problem and fixed it for a couple of hundred. He is honest a good mechanic and I highly recommend this place. read more

Heaven is a wonderful car that purrs better than any kitten and boy oh boy does my Jaguar do that! I just brought it home after having major work done to it (I mean, after 112,000 miles it does need some attention) and the car drives like it's brand new. I have a 2006 Jaguar XJ8 - yes folks, I don't apologize for a V8 engine so well engineered it beat the 6 cylinders of it's day - that runs so well because of the superbly outstanding care it's been given by Udo. Why anyone would go anywhere else is beyond me. Can you imagine 112,000 no trouble miles? Well that's been my experience. It has always been a pleasure to bring my car here - Udo is a wonderful person, more knowledgeable than anyone else I've ever met, is completely ethical and runs a very tight ship. His mechanic, Joe, has done such a great job as has everyone else Udo has had work on my car. Customer service is phenomenal. They called me today to tell me my car was done & picked me up to get it. Went back many times later and each time is the same....Udo opines on various topics (he is a talker) but he always delivers with fair pricing and honesty. Sometimes you have to be flexible with timing as he does get backed up from all the demand. Lastly, if it is an easy fix...he often doesnt charge. Who does that these days! Udo and Joe are experienced and trustworthy mechanics. I have had only good experiences with them for repairs and maintenance to my BMW and Audi respectively (brakes, rotors, blower motor, starter motor, oil changes etc.). They have saved me a lot of $$ in comparison to what local dealerships are charging, and for a far more personal and accessible service. Udo's Automotive alleges it installed a new control unit for my Porsche when I brought him the car in April 2010. According to an authorized Porsche dealer to which I ultimately brought my car in for final repair, the control unit installed in my Porsche was 12 years old (made in 1999) and had failed. Udo refuses now to produce proof of his purchase of the part which I needed and for which I had been charged a new part price. Without this piece of evidence, Porsche won't be able to honor their 2-year warranty. Udo refuses to reimburse me. read more

I have read all the reviews and I agree with them. But don't be fooled, you don't need a Jaguar, Benz, or Bentley to go to Udo's. We own 3 Fords and an Oldsmobile and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Udo treats our 23 year Ford Escort with the same respect as any other luxury car in his garage. No matter how busy he is, he will take time to listen or ride in your car so he can diagnose the problem.He always tells us what's wrong before he starts repairs, always gives an informed estimate of how much the repairs will cost and always shows you the broken parts before you leave. The entire staff is top rate from Leigh in the office to the mechanics Mark and Joe to Udo himself. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Be warned he is a character who can charm you with a funny story or anecdote, but he is dead serious when it comes to fixing what's wrong with your car.
