While our gym was closed for renovations recently, and my team and I had the opportunity to train here several times. Up until this time I hadn't not heard of Logic, and am just recently becoming more familiar with the area as a whole. With them being in a smaller plaza it might be easy to miss them, but there's plenty of foot traffic in this area so you can easy come upon Logic by chance as well. My first impression was "Man, this is a really nice spot", with Logic's clean and modern white color scheme, and the natural wood finish look of their benches; makes for great appeal. While they provide a large area for mat space, there's also a smaller gym/weights area behind that. So you both workout and or train. There's also a ice hangout spot in the main entrance area, where you'll notice a Logic swag area which is a nice touch when you first walk in. Talking with Chris (owner & main instructor), we learned Logic is fairly new and coming up on their 2nd anniversary at their location. One of the cleanest gyms in Sacramento! Chris/Kelvin are amazing instructors and make the atmosphere into a very welcoming space. BJJ can definitely be intimidating but you'll feel welcome and right at home. They offer both BJJ and strength & conditioning, so this membership is all you need. You can train, get better, and get in shape all in one spot. Whether you're a complete beginner or more advanced, the coaches break things down in a way that actually makes sense. Clean, air conditioned, friendly, and professional. In a sport where you're sweating on the ground with other people, cleanliness is a must! The mats are clean and well maintained. Floors are clean, bathrooms are clean, people don't walk on the mat with shoes or sandals and no bare feet off the mat. This is not a place where you'll get staph or ringworm. When it's blazing hot outside, it's nice to get some training in a cooler environment sometimes. The class sizes are a good size at the moment - not too big, not too small. It allows for a good variety of people to train with and still get some individualized attention from the instructors, Chris and Kelvin. I have never done or know anything about ju jitsu, but my 10 year old really wanted to do it. I asked a friend who is a competitive ju jitsu fighter, and he recommended this spot as particularly good for youth classes. One of the owners has little ones, and it shows (they are in the classes sometimes). The patience and lessons for youth and newbies has been great. They mix conditioning and drills with skill games and grappling, all with tight oversight and active instruction. Classes tend to be around 10-15 people, with 2 instructors for the larger groups. There's also a good mix of boys and girls, and ages/sizes, so kids of all ages are getting solid practice and no one feels left out. I'd highly recommend this spot if you're thinking of trying it out! (The physical setup of the place is also nice but I didn't want to post photos of someone else's kid!) read more

It's unfortunate some Karen named Jessica is allowed to rate this one star based on a delayed phone reply. This place is beyond 5 star worthy. Within moments when stepping inside you can feel the difference in culture. Coaches Chris and Kelvin are genuine, patient and community driven. The children's classes focus not only on the fundamentals of jiu jitsu, but the foundations of being an empathetic and independent person. They make the classes fun while instilling the concepts of sportsmanship and discipline. I've been to multiple spots over the years and have never felt more welcomed than at this place..... both my daughters attend and I have seen more maturity, growth and confidence developed in the last 3 months than at any other milestone of their lifespan. What separates this place from the rest is the culture. In addition to good instruction, there are some really nice people here who respect each other. If you want to compete, they can get you there. If you just want to chill and slowly work on your fundamentals, they do that too. They have gi, no-gi, morning, lunch and evening classes. Highly recommended. I dropped in as an out of town guest and was warmly welcomed to the academy. Kelvin provided excellent nogi instruction which incorporated several wrestling concepts into standard BJJ skills, which is the direction the modern sport is heading. All training partners were friendly, safe and willing to roll with visitors. Facility is first rate. Mat space is impeccable and cleaned after every class. There is a free weight area. We've had an awesome time watching our 6 year old son develop his skills and strength at Logic. He enjoys coming to class and I find the viewing area comfortable and clean. We started our 4.5 year old daughter here about a month ago and we have been so pleased. It can obviously be challenging coaching very young kids, but Kelvin and every other teacher is so patient and gentle while simultaneously teaching discipline and good listening skills. Of course the physical skills they are learning are awesome as well. My daughter loves the kids' class and we love watching it (the space is so nice to be in, too)! I would recommend Logic to anyone looking for BJJ for their kiddo. read more

very very new gym. Owners are VERY nice and welcoming. have only been to the open mats they host but I always get some good rolls in. gym is both gi and no gi but the open mats are primarily no gi. the only downside to this gym is the parking constraints but there is usually street parking nearby. read more

I went Wednesday night for a trial class. Very friendly, clean and welcoming place. Very beginner friendly to someone who knows jack about jiu jitsu. After sleeping on it I don't think this is the right martial arts variety for me but I highly recommend checking them out if you're interested in jiu jitsu. read more

2nd time in logic. Just for open mats. The guys were great. Very nice, welcoming, and all greeted me walking in. I experienced no ego which sometimes the higher belts have when getting a tapped by a lower belt. I recommend and well definitely visit again. read more
