Stopped into Logyard as I try to do whenever I am back in Kane. My local distributor carries their beer and I try to support them whenever I buy beer. My favorite variety is "Bucking Birch" which I actually consider to be the flagship of the brand. Have not been able to find it where I am located (near Pittsburgh) and wanted to grab some while I was at the source. It was on tap but no cans to go in the cooler and heard a rumor that they would be discontinuing it. Got a growler fill but am really bummed to hear that Bucking Birch may go away. Please keep brewing it and canning for those of us who love it.

In the heart of the Allegheny National forest you'll find the black cherry capital of the world. Kane is a gem as is Logyard Brewing. The NEIPA's are some of the best I've ever tasted. If you have the time to stop in Kane - a town frozen in a time of neighborhood friendliness and nostalgia - you will not regret it.

    Flight of beer!

I went on a camping trip this past weekend and my friends and I decided to go to a brewery since it was raining out. My friend suggested the log yard brewing company. We ordered a flight of beer which was only $30 dollars for tons of selections which I thought was a really good deal. Also ordered the cheese board. The cheese board was very good besides the fact that they left the wrapper on the meat oops it happens though! The scone that was in the cheese board was to die for apparently it comes from a local bakery down the road from them. There was also a sweet and spicy jam I'm not sure the actual flavor but it fit well with the rest of the pickings on the tray. The service was very friendly and attentive I definitely recommend to give it a try.

    Is this brewery still open?

Went there today, 05/23/26 and it was closed. Nothing was inside the space.

You know the drill: no table service, order at the bar using a kiosk or an iPad, which makes you feel less like a customer and more like a data entry clerk. And don't even get me started on the servers who act like they're doing you a favor by taking your order. Then there are the long lines to order your drinks and food, which completely destroy any semblance of a pleasant customer experience. Waiting in a queue that resembles a theme park line just to get a drink ruins the whole vibe (this is an ABSOLUTE dealbreaker for us). Oh, and let's not forget the chaotic atmosphere--kids running amok, dogs, and live bands cranking out tunes that make it impossible to hold a conversation. It's a sensory overload that just isn't my cup of tea. Now that I've gotten that off my chest, let's get to the beer. We ordered a flight, which is the trendy way to say "sampler," and I must admit, one or two out of the six beers were decent--particularly the hazy IPA, which was a bright spot in an otherwise dull lineup. Most of the other brews were solid but forgettable, a far cry from the unique, crafted experiences that breweries claim to provide. Overall, we did enjoy the beer! As for the food, it was a parade of disappointment. We tried the garlic and Parmesan wings, shrimp tacos, and, of course, the infamous Bent burger. Ah, the Bent burger--a prime example of how a simple, delicious hamburger can be completely ruined by a slew of unnecessary toppings. Instead of sticking to the classic approach of a juicy patty, they decided to throw on pork, a fried egg, and a medley of other ingredients that clashed rather than complemented each other. It was a chaotic mishmash of flavors that worked against itself, leaving me wondering why anyone thought this was a good idea. Gimmicks like that are rarely a recipe for success in my experience. The tacos and wings? Equally lackluster. The wings were bland, devoid of any real flavor punch despite the garlic and Parmesan claims, and the tacos were so underwhelming they could have been served at a school cafeteria. In summary, Bent Run Brewery is just another cog in the wheel of craft beer clichés, serving up a loud atmosphere, long lines, and gimmicky food that fails to impress. If you're looking for a genuine experience with great beer and simple, tasty food, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. If you are able to "plug in" to this nonsense, then it's worth a try.

It's next door to the hotel and when we went it wasn't so busy that we were ignored but they staff were certainly being kept on their toes (Father's Day weekend, graduations, hotel guests...). They have both indoor seating (complete with a bar if you'd like to sit there) and a really nice looking patio area. The food was fantastic. Our server was great too; she was really friendly and helpful with recommendations. I ordered the reuben sandwich, which was deeeelicious. The salmon was apparently wonderful too, from what my partner said. And I ordered the macaroni and cheese from the kids menu but it was huge. My baby loved it and since it was so huge there was too much for her, so I had the rest at a later time. They had a really good strawberry lemonade, of which we (my daughter and I, because of course she had to have some) drank several glasses. Our server even brought me a to-go cup of it because she said it looked like we were slowing down and may be near finishing. I didn't ask her to bring me a cup of it to go, and wouldn't have thought to ask, so I was very happy she brought it for the rest of our ride to Cleveland. But perhaps my favorite part of the meal were the appetizers. We ordered some macaroni and jalapeño bites which were a hit as far as myself and the little one were concerned, with not too much heat that she could enjoy them. The restaurant has a Brussels sprouts appetizer, but they do it as an "of the week" special. The week we were here it was inspired by elote, so it had some corn and cheese and stuff on it and they were so good. I love Brussels sprouts, and will happily try them prepared in a new way. As of June 2026, I think they are short staffed. Our food took a little longer than usual but that was ok; it gave us a chance to chat and relax. Just be patient if you visit in the near future since they are down an employee or two! But even with that, it was a pleasant evening, the staff were fantastic and helpful, and the food totally hit the spot.
