This place used to be great. We went all the time. Then the menu changed, and changed again, and again. Slowly but surely every single thing that was good was removed from it. Now it's a roll of the dice if the food will even be edible. Today, we ordered an old favorite. The giant pretzel with beer cheese. The beer cheese tasted like sandy water. No cheese. No beer. No flavor at all. Just gross. For a meal I had a pulled pork sandwich. By far the worst pulled pork sandwich of my life. I had 1 bite. I couldn't even finish that bite. The waitress couldn't understand the food was bad. She was confused why I didn't want a box, like lady I had it at the edge of the table trying to be nice about it. It was absolutely disgusting. Terrible service awareness. Terrible food. Screw this place I'm done, I won't be back to pay for food I can't even eat. read more

So happy I stumbled across this spot while in Clearfield recently. I live near a different Dented Keg location and had no idea there was one out this way. This location was one of the nicest brewery setups I have ever seen. The outdoor area is perfect with a nice big patio overlooking the water and walking trail. It would be a great spot to get some drinks on a nice day. On top of the awesome atmosphere, the service was terrific. My server, Mallory did a great job. I had the buffalo chicken pita, which was delicious. The buffalo sauce was a perfect spice level and had a great flavor. They also had some really good fries that went perfect with their incredible homemade ranch. Overall, a great experience and a must stop place if you are in the area. This local brewery and restaurant is in a perfect location with nice views of the river. The beer selection is very good, they offer 11 or 16 ounce pours, and they are $2 off during Happy Hour. The Pumpkin Ale and Marshmallow Stout were both delightful. Service was attentive and friendly. They have a broad menu of pub food favorites like burgers and pulled pork. The macaroni and cheese was kind of bland. The patty melt special with apple chutney was excellent. Overnight stay in Clearfield PA while heading home to Connecticut from a visit in Michigan, we found a really good place to try for a casual dinner. I had the steak tacos (3) and was going to take a photo, but ate them too quickly (they were delicious). My husband had the chicken ceasar wrap which he said was good. I tried a sample of the apple caramel cider which I really didn't like. That was the only hard cider on tap, however I'm sure there were some good beers to try. The restaurant is also in a newer building - clean, industrial look that overlooks the river. I bet in the summer, the patio would be an awesome place to sit. The young man who was our server was very nice and brought us refills of soda without us asking. We probably won't be back in Clearfield, but try it if you are in the area. I believe they have several more locations in central Pennsylvania too. read more

Kudos to the ambience! The view is great. I appreciated the lighted walkway and Vietnam memorial alongside the restaurant. Our server was friendly but not very attentive. Part of one meal never arrived. I felt that it was overpriced. The food was mediocre at best. The fries were cold and overcooked. My fish was tasty but it was frozen and overcooked to the point that it was hard. The chips were good but also overcooked. (See a pattern?) Lastly, the open kitchen is nice but noisy. Such a cool spot, right on the water with lots of bright light from the large windows. It was a bit chilly so we sat inside. We shared the pulled pork nachos, which had generous toppings and was irresistible. We both also ordered the regular cheeseburger ( may have been called the pub burger.) I was impressed with the pickled onion topping and the delicious medley of flavors. We also enjoyed two seasonable beers, The Pumpkin and Oktoberfest. Really enjoyed our time here! read more

Very nice place--bright & and clean with a great selection of beers! Our server was attentive and was great about refilling my 5 year old's drink. We sat inside, but at a window. The area is so pretty and the brewery overlooks the west branch of the Susquehanna river. The menu was good and had options for even picky eaters. We ordered the brisket queso with house-made fried tortilla chips. The queso was gooey, flavorful and not too spicy. I ordered the burger and chose a side salad instead of fries. The burger was fabulous--juicy, good quality meat and cooked a perfect medium rare. The salad was even impressive bc it was fresh crisp greens, diced red onion & tomatoes, and gorgeous cucumbers. My mom ordered a pepperoni pizza---with no pepperoni and no basil. Lol. She's very picky, but really enjoyed this pizza. The sauce was clean & garden-fresh. So,here's a spot that comes at you sideways. It's obscure small town America but fantastic food. The beer was called clear but not clear which really defines this restaurant. An open kitchen where the the chefs perform in front of you. We enjoyed the the power bowl with smoked chicken which was exceptional and I had the smoked brisket with Mac and cheese! Incredible! I want to give this restaurant more stars but there were some odd things going on but our food was great! We got there on a rainy day a little after the lunch time rush. I don't drink so I ordered a water with lemon, and our waitress said they did not have any lemons. I found that odd since it was 4th of July weekend and was raining all day. We tried to then order the wings and they were out. We also heard they were out of bread!!! I am not sure what happened??? We ended up ordering the fried pickles, the big soft pretzel, and the dented kegs. I loved it all but the best part was the ranch dressing! It was soooo good. I will always order something I can have ranch with. I would love to go back and sit outside on the river...great views! read more

Recently while exploring dining options in Clearwater on Yelp we came across the dented keg. It was within walking distance from our Airbnb and the reviews seemed promising. Located right on the Susquehanna River I knew it would have beautiful tranquil views which is what we were looking for was a peaceful dining situation after two long days attending the 100-mile yard sale. The inside is very loud like Extremely Loud. I knew upon entry that we did not want to dine inside it almost had a frat party atmosphere. Fortunately they do have outdoor dining and we were able to take advantage of the beautiful Riverview. Our waitress was very friendly and took the time to talk to us and give her recommendations. Hubby ended up choosing a macaroni and cheese with a pulled pork mixed in with it. I opted for one of the daily specials which was a strawberry salad which I was looking forward to. However when it arrived it was void of any salad dressing only had two strawberries no cheese and was not what I would consider an entree size. I had to ask for salad dressing twice before it was brought out to me but I do understand that our waitress was very busy. The dressing for the salad was a champagne mixture which I don't think was the right choice and a balsamic would have better complimented this dish. I also think it could have been elevated with some goat cheese and some blueberries. If I remember correctly that salad cost between 14 and $17 which I thought was exorbitant for the quality and portion size. Hubby's dish however was delicious and oozing with lots of cheese and you could could really taste the smokiness of the meat which complemented the mac and cheese well. While overall I would try this restaurant again only if the weather permitted outside dining. The atmosphere between the inside and outside is almost like two different establishments. The sheer volume of the noise level inside would make dining uncomfortable. Our waitress was very nice and apologize profusely for the repeated issue they've been having with the lack of salad dressing and their new prep cook. With some tweaking better acoustics and some menu changes I think this place has a lot of potential. read more

They had us wait for 42 minutes and served 3 parties before us . The frozen fish was over cooked and the coleslaw was too much vinegar in it. My wife's chicken quesadilla was over cooked and greasy. Will never go there again. They did allow our small dog to come with us. read more

This used to be a decent place. We took out of town relatives for dinner. There were some issues with being out of items in the menu- this menu has also been updated and some really great items were taken off. Anyhow, two people at out table got flatbread pizza one looked ok nice cheese to Sauce ratio and the other was all sauce, picking up a slice the sauce just dripped off in gobs, barely any cheese it was horrific. Another had Mac and cheese with brisket on top- pasta was way overcooked and bland, the brisket was the only thing worth eating. Waiter could have cared less about the quality and satisfaction, we basically handed him a whole pizza back when we were finished and he couldn't even ask if there was an issue. Nice a decent place now it's horrible. We will not be going back. read more

service was pretty slow unfortunatly but she was nice and our food was warm. when we got the checks my cheeseburger (only cheese) was marked as $20. also, i asked for cheese and mayo on my burger. they charged me $.050 for mayo.... i brought up the online menu to really see if it was $20??? it was not. it's $15.50. i asked her about it and she said "it just rings up that way" she ended up taking the $5 off, but even the physical menu (i asked to see it) says the "keg burger" is $15.50. just watch your checks... make sure you're not getting over charged. read more

Our server was very nice and attentive but the food was just not good at all. My grandmother ordered the broccoli cheddar soup and it came out Luke warm. We asked the server if she could heat it up so it's nice and hot and they brought back a whole different bowl of soup that was not only half full but it was again, luke warm. Not hot. We like when our food is hot. We didn't bother asking again and just decided that we won't be coming back. I also ordered the Gyro flatbread and it barely had any meat on it and it just wasn't that good in my opinion. The meat was also cold. It didn't seem to be heated up. The Gyro from the fair is much better. I was very disappointed in the food and that's enough for me to not return. Stopped in for dinner on a business trip. Atmosphere is harsh, industrial, sterile-brutal. The view of the river is nice. The food was mediocre, way over-salted. The beer was disappointing, none of the three I tasted were even close to being true to style. I would describe them as seeming to have been coarsely assembled rather than brewed, not very tasty or satisfying, overly acidic. The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly though. They have 12 beers on tap all the time. The cocktail list is also impressive! Absolutely love the blood orange margarita. If you're looking for lighter fare, The Dented Greens Salad with Smoked Chicken is a great choice, along with the crispy green beans for an app. You can't go wrong with any of the tacos or flatbreads! Cute scenic area, fast service. Appetizer was super good with the chips, not so much with the cheese wontons. Serving size of the mac and cheese was very abundant. This was an awesome restaurant with an amazing view of the river. We had a charkegerie (play on charcuterie) it was a large platter full of beef, ham, cheese, pretzel bread and pickles - it was so good. There was a huge selection of beers as well.
