Lokahi Jiu-Jitsu is one of my favorite places to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Rudy Galima is an outstanding instructor with all of his students, no matter what age group. I've personally seen him instruct the kids and teens group/class, ensuring the proper fundamentals are being shown and practiced, as well as safety within training and training partners. Making this academy a safe and family oriented/friendly training environment. At the same time, I've personally had Professor Rudy drill with and assist me in my own BJJ strategy and game, in Gi and No-Gi. I highly recommend Lokahi Jiu-Jitsu to all age groups, that want to improve their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills, or even just start for the very first time! I was in the Temecula area visiting my parents for the week and I wanted to get some training in. I looked for academies around the area and I choose dropping by Lokahi Jiu Jitsu to check the place out. My first impression was notably how clean, organized, and welcoming the environment is. The Staff welcomed me, assisted me with signing up and allowed me to try out a class. Professor Rudy is an excellent instructor, makes things simple to understand and provides clear-cut details when teaching. The other students were also very welcoming and respectful and I truly enjoyed the chance to train with them. I tried Jiu Jitsu at four other Jiu Jitsu businesses in the local area and Lokahi far exceeds all of them. Professor Rudy is an elite instructor. He can easily find what you're doing wrong and fix your problem on the spot. I'm a high school teacher and can easily see the difference between good instructors and great instructors. Professor Rudy is not only great, he wants to make you great. His devoted passion for Jiu Jitsu is easily recognized at each class. The students are super helpful. If you have a question, everyone is willing to help. As a retired military veteran, this atmosphere is exactly what I wanted and it has exceeded my expectations. My wife was hesitant about Jiu Jitsu but was hooked after just one class. It is now a family activity that we all enjoy and can share at home together. This is the first time I've signed up for any type of Jiu Jitsu gym. I've been participating for 2 months and am impressed with the warm down to earth training atmosphere. It is very family oriented with various classes. I did sign up for the beginners 6 week course which really started us out from the basics to a point I felt comfortable jumping in with the experienced students. I visited this school hoping we will find our new BJJ family the professor and coach were very friendly,the kids class was nice but the technic wasn't enforce into detail., and no sparing when I asked my 9 year old daughter what she thought about the school she said it was good but no sparing what's the point of learning if you can't apply the technic on live training.how ever is a good school for beginners unfortunately we are not the right fit for this school and we will be trying out the new school down Rancho California Road next. read more

I joined their fundamentals class a couple weeks ago, and it's been great! Their culture is so friendly and cooperative. The instructors and other students are very welcoming and it's hard not to get caught up in their enthusiasm and the excitement of trying something new. I've always been curious about Jiu Jitsu, but either thought I was too old or was afraid of getting hurt. Instead, there are guys and girls of all ages, backgrounds, goals, and levels of time commitment. Everything is very safe and methodical. I also like the challenge of trying to figure out the "puzzle piece" of a new move and eventually applying it into sparring (when I get there haha). Best of all, the membership is kind of like a gym membership, with so many opportunities to attend a class throughout the week, I can go when it's convenient (paired with my family life). Lokahi offers so many opportunities to train through the week. Classes are well structure with Professor Rudy and Coach Francisco who both are excellent professionals and teachers.
