    Garlic rice- yeah!

I wish they had wifi coz then I wouldn't have to pop over at skippy's first and get tempted by their food and drinks options just to get plugged in the network coz ya know, we don't all have local numbers and some of us rely on our bestfriend wifi to communicate with the outside world. That said by the time we moved over to Sarsa, I got to try the sizzling sansi and the twice fried pork belly. Food was pretty good and got me curious about other items in the menu. Would love to go back here with a big group just to try the other stuff. Photos and description seem so inviting I was silently kicking myself for stuffing my face next door. Oh well, next time! P.S. Great service!

I would recommend Sarsa for when you have foreign friends to whom you'd like to introduce Filipino food without coming out smelling like sisig, or grilled food. They have inventive ways of introducing Filipino food, particularly Ilonggo fare, without compromising its true nature. Their Sizzling Kansi, for example, is excellent. It is a deconstructed interpretation of the famous Ilonggo bone marrow soup. I also like how they've deboned the inasal and put them in skewers instead. And that they serve Pritchon Pancake (fried lechon pieces in a wrap) with Hoissin sauce. For dessert, we had Piaya Ice Cream Sandwiches, which is a scoop of ube/vanilla/queso ice cream (your choice) squeezed in between two thin pieces of piaya. Their Leche del Cielo had a nice touch of lemongrass in it. However, we did find the desserts a bit heavy-handed: the Leche del Cielo was dense, and it took two very strong boys to cut through the Ice Cream Sandwiches. Other than that, all good! :)

I rarely crave for Filipino food because it's pretty easy to find (well, duh) but when I do, I crave for food that could possibly be the cause of my death, and that's exactly the type of food that I ordered when I got to Sarsa Kitchen. I have been disgustingly craving for sizzling bulalo steak for weeks and I was so happy to find out that Sarsa kitchen had it on their menu. Along with that we had crispy dilis and twice cooked pork belly. Not exactly a wise combination but..Wow. I'm pretty sure I hiked up my cholesterol to extreme levels, and I will regret it once I hit the beach but that meal was worth all the possible health complications. We were only two (girls) eating and everything we ordered was scraped off to the last drop of gravy. I left the restaurant holding my belly and ripping at the seams yet I was still thinking of the bulalo at the end of the night.

Ate here with family after seeing few blogs about it. Dissapointed! Their chicken inasal was too oily and undercooked, the crispy isol was starchy and gising gising was to sweet. Overall, I only liked the Batchoy even if it was mostly soup. Worst was their plain rice, I'm quite sure it was NFA rice. This resto is indeed overrated, either their quality declined or they have an effective social media team working over time. Oh, did I mention few flies bothered our table even after they placed 2 lighted candles. Hope they consider putting an air shower at the entrance. I guess back to Locavore for me!

There's always an occasion for a good Filipino meal. It's when you have a friend visiting from the United States who likes to know about sisig or a balikbayan looking for a taste of home again. I only go to 1 place specifically for these occasions and I often leave the restaurant with a happy belly and an outpour of praise for Filipino food. Take a look at Sarsa Restaurant. I've been coming here since it opened and it maybe the best new Filipino restaurant in the scene today. Chef Jp Anglo has successfully whipped up our favorites, given it a little spin and added some sexiness to our everyday Kare-Kare, bangus and kansi. Sexy-it's a word that's almost never used to describe Filipino food but I am using it now because Sarsa was able to own the word, dance to it and make its guests feel like they are making love to a meal.

I keep coming back to this restaurant again and again, I really love the food here,I've eaten at the branches in the Fort and the one at Mall of Asia. It's by Chef JP Anglo and serves Filipino and Negrense Food with a contemporary twist .Always consistently good, the ambience is very relaxed and simple. I always start out with their Crispy Dilis, its crunchy and not hard, it has a sweet chili pineapple glaze. It's an appetizer but my husband likes to eat this with rice. Their sizzling kansi (bulalo on a hot plate) is my absolute favourite. Has a special gravy sauce. Sometimes I switch it up a bit and order Kansi(Bulalo Soup) which is good for two. Ofcourse you can't go wrong with their Inasal. Very tasty. For dessert their mango jubilee and their Crispy buko pie ala mode are my favourite. I've also tried the crispy tilapia with mango salsa and XO sauce and their pinakbet. But the first three dishes are the staples everytime we visit. Service is ok, although at their MOA branch, they need to improve their service. You have to follow up with the waiters a lot for your orders, has happened twice already.

Excellent customer service with delicious meals and plenty of options on their menu. This is our second time dining at Locavore but first time at Brixton Street in Estancia location. The staff was great every step of the way from seating, to ordering, to delivering our orders on a timely manner and until the very end. Our party of 11 ordered 2 of everything like to name a few of what we ordered are, Pakbet Ratatouille, Octadobo, Oyster Palabok sa Puti, Tapsilog, Boneless Lechon Belly, Dragonfruit chips and many more. I'd been wanting to try Filipino food, and this place came highly recommended by some locals. The food was incredible. I tried the sizzling sinigang, and it completely surprised me. The flavor was sour, savory, and comforting all at once. I also had the oyster sisig, which was crispy, rich, and perfect with a cold San Miguel beer. Every dish came out hot and well-presented. The restaurant itself has a great vibe!!! lively but not too loud. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially since I wasn't too familiar with Filipino dishes. They explained what everything was and even suggested a few must-tries. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Philippines. And I'll definitely come back next time!

The portion was moderate and it can feed 2 people. It was hot and crunchy and the sauce was pretty good. The pinakbet with pork liempo was awesome, please keep in mind that pinakbet in some regions are cooked without the sabaw (sauce). The eggplant was definitely fried. The bitter melon and the kombucha squash were steamed well. The pork was super crunchy!!! Please also note that one order of pinakbet will probably good for 2 people but I can definitely devour it on my own! The kare kare with crispy pork was also good. The sauce was slurry and not too thick. The string beans, banana heart (puso ng saging) and bok choy were steamed and cooked well. They were not soggy but crunchy. Also the eggplant was fried and added with the sauce. When you order kare kare it automatically comes with sautéed shrimp paste. This dish alone will probably feed 4 people. Overall the service was great, we did not wait long for the food, and we were seated right away since we arrived there around 11:45ish. The restaurant was clean and quite cozy. There's one bathroom for both genders. Total of all the meals including 1 sugarcane calamansi juice refill P1745.00 (also includes gratuity charges).

Back then, if you've been living in Manila for most of your life, the words "food" and "court" in the same sentence never really sounded appetizing. Enter Hole in the Wall. I've been here a few times already, but stepping inside its huge hip maze of interiors never ceases to excite me. I'm not sure if it's the thrill of choosing what meal to try next or just the nice aesthetic of literally everything, that excites me more. On my first visit, I made sure to first try the super popular fried chicken from Bad Bird. As a big fan Southern-style fried chicken, I wasn't disappointed. The crispy skin had a yummy seasoning that's new to the palette, very different compared to my other favorites, such as the Chickenjoy from Jollibee and the Pan Fried Chicken from Pancake House. And there's something about their side dishes that just completes the whole meal. The corn on the cob with bonito flakes, sweet and umami flavors melting in your mouth, was to die for. The coleslaw provided a nice acidic break from the saltiness of the chicken. The meal was a fun experience itself. Just the other day, I tried the Pastrami on Rye from Mr. Delicious and it was monstrous--just plain impressive in terms of size. I didn't even attempt to bite on the entire stack, using my fork and knife like a pretentious chick on a first date instead. Each bite off the monster-wich was packed with so many different flavors, though the pastrami still easily emerges as the hero of the dish. And let's not get started on the sweet potato chips. I'm not a big sweet potato-lover, but damn, the portion was more than satisfying. If there's anything I'd like modified, I just wish there was a bit more of the veggie pickles to cut through all the meat and fat. For now, I'll end this review right here. If it isn't yet so obvious, I'll probably be back here in no time to try a different food stall or two.
