It's nowhere near me, but I still enjoy making the trip because I always feel welcomed. I especially love the live music and the vibes. It's laid-back, comfortable, and unpretentious, with that neighborhood hangout feeling that can be hard to find. The patio is great, the food and drinks hit the spot, and it's just a fun place to relax and enjoy yourself. If you want something chill with a neighborhood hangout vibe, this is the place. Whether I'm listening to the live music, having a drink, or just enjoying the atmosphere, I always have a good time. Definitely one of my favorite Houston spots.

It is very small inside and they try to crowd in as many seats as possible so it's hard to get through them when crowded. The bathrooms are bar bathrooms, sooo.... The best menu item I have had and will always get when in the area, their potato wedges. I take them togo too and after a 30 minute drive they're still great and massive.

Dangerous. Dirty. Rude bartenders and owners. All kinds of heavy drug use out in the open. Women getting drugged and assaulted here. A woman got shot in the head here just outside a handful of weeks ago it's in the news. Fights breaking out inside and out. Smells like a mixture of garbage and vomit inside. The bathrooms. Just. Don't. It's never been safe. It's never been clean. Now the outside patio area is literally falling apart. Junk lying around everywhere. Just filthy. I hear the owner is a major cocaine addict and that's why the place is full of dealers and users. If you are into that they'll let you stay, if they don't like you for any reason they ignore you and kick you out. Can't believe this place is still here. Montrose will be better off when they level this dump also known as "low life's" read more

Place is nasty... Everyone is saying in these reviews that is the definition of "dive bar" (and still rating it high like that's a cool thing), but it's worse. This is like someone's house they threw a bar in and a bunch of children that are old enough to drink smoke weed at and pretend to be functioning adults. Never seen so many lazy pot heads in my life. Not to mention the bar tender really does not pay attention nor does he seem to know how to properly make drinks. The place smells so bad and was so dirty. I even heard a guy hating on lesbians in there. Seriously? In Montrose of all places? Apparently if you are a trashy gay man that hates lesbians this is your bar. Lola's is a synonym for "Low Lifes." I don't go to this place - I live in the neighborhood, and you wouldn't believe the number of terrifying scenes I've seen from the patrons that come out of this place. Men are fighting men, women are fighting women, and men are fighting women. Gunshots are a common thing; a couple of days ago man shot his girlfriend right next to this place. The bar smells like garbage and looks like garbage. If you want to put your life at risk, hang out outside Lola's at night you won't be disappointed. read more

I can only really judge this bar by the front half because that's really the only part I made it to. I had some good friends hanging out there so my friend and I joined them. I have been to this bar for years but two things have stood out to me regarding this place - no parking and the area is pretty seedy. I have had my truck stolen there one time and another time there was a stabbing that got blood all over my truck, in the daytime of all things! My truck became a crime scene! read more

This bar blew up on TikTok a while ago and drew in a more normie and/or corporate yuppie crowd. Loud, annoying bros and people who used to go out on Washington. These people usually get the rude side of the staff. Not saying that they deserve it but there is a clear personality mismatch here and I witness a lot of people who aren't the target audience for dive-y bars like this clash with staff personalities they aren't used to. If you are type two just be cool. Dive bar employees usually don't follow the hospitality training of pretending they have to like you.
