I am updating the review to respond to the business's calculated misrepresentation of the facts and…read morean attempt to minimize severe, documented building code violations. For prospective customers reading this, here is the verified context: Fraudulently advertising yourselves as a "James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor" to secure the job, only to systemically violate the manufacturer's strict installation guidelines, is not a "punch-list" oversight--it is deceptive marketing and a material breach of contract. Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. The report details systemic failures, including improperly installed weather-resistant barriers, missing flashings, overdriven fasteners, damaged boards, unsealed wall penetrations, and an internal PVC plumbing pipe that was punctured by a fastener and actively concealed with black duct tape. The Manufacturer's Involvement: James Hardie is indeed involved, to the extent that the manufacturer offered to provide free replacement materials to JP Exteriors so they could execute a proper rework. JP Exteriors leadership actively refused this offer. We stand entirely by our documented evidence, our 42-page forensic inspection report, and our active fraud dispute with the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. The video proof of punctured plumbing remain on this review.

It's now 2 o'clock, they haven't shown up, returned my call, or responded to my email. Update: Heard from the company after 4pm. They tried to tell me that my appointment was on Monday. I'll add a screenshot of the appointment they missed to clear up any doubt. Then the rep showed up. Sat in his car for a couple hours, didn't inspect the roof, gave roof estimates higher than comparable competitor and then estimated 10k for the gutters on my 2,700 sq home. We questioned that and he lowered it to 7.2k. We have a gutter estimate for less than half that from another company. The kicker - the rep called and asked me to change this review after his departure. I told him I'd update it, so here we are. Also, when I called Jolene to make an appointment last week, she required that my husband be home. Receiving an estimate on a roof is something I should be able to do as a capable adult. The rep shared some sexist opinions during this visit, so ladies maybe call Roofer Chicks or Two Brothers?

Let me just start by saying the first question he asked was would my husband be joining us. I said no I would be making the decision. First of all our house is primarily brick so we don't have very much siding. The man looked around my house and said he was ready to present his estimate. He said they would be putting the new siding over the old siding. The price was exactly double the estimate of the 5 Star rated company I used. The company I used took down all of the old siding and found some damage around a window. It's fixed ! The point I am making is, was the price doubled because I am a woman? I am pleased that I used a company that took down the old siding and checked for damages, fixed the problems and then put up the new siding. I am pleased with decision I made. Be sure to have several estimates before choosing this company, they may take shortcuts that will cost you in the long run. Buyer beware.
