When visiting Eagle Pass, Choche's BBQ has to be a stop you make. I recently celebrated my birthday…read moreat Choche's and everything was perfect! We started off with the Brisket Nachos which included chips from a local tortilla factory, queso blanco, brisket, and pico de gallo (you can also ask for pico de gallo on side). The chips had the right amount of saltiness and paired with the queso and brisket - it was the perfect appetizer to open the lunch with. For our group, we did get two (2) large nachos but asked to split it into 4 plates (to feed 15). It was more than enough!!! For our main meal, we went with the "El Comp" package which included enough food to feed 8-12 (we were a party of 15). The meal package included: a whole Brisket, a rack of Pork ribs, 4 Chicken leg quarters (which I asked to split to make 8 pieces), 3, 32oz sides (we chose Potato Salad and the Ruffles Mac and Cheese). The brisket was tender, the ribs fell off the bone and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. I personally loved the ribs and brisket - no BBQ sauce needed! Everyone had multiple servings from the divided portions and it hit the spot! The sides were the perfect compliment to the main course and I will always sing the praises of the best Mac and Cheese that features crumbled Ruffles Queso chips (everyone absolutely loved the crunchy and soft textures). Not pictured: Texas Twinkies (brisket and cheese stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon and covered in BBQ sauce. They were a good mix of sweet and spicy and also a big hit! In addition to the meal, Choche's has pickles, BBQ sauce, onions and bread slices setup for you to add to your meal. We really enjoyed visiting Choche's BBQ and celebrating my birthday with all the good vibes. On weekends, there may be live music or if a sporting event, it's on the TVs. If you find yourself in EP, stop by Choche's!!

As soon as we entered the vicinity, my jaw dropped literally because it looked super cute and festive. The place is literally a mini San Miguel, Mexico. Anyhow, we were greeted warmly by the host and eventhough it looked busy we were escorted almost immediately to our table. We were greeted kindly by our server and was handed the menu. They have plenty of interesting drinks and cocktails, appetizers, entree and many Many more on their menu. We finally ordered our drinks and foods and was excited for them. The ambiance of this place were incredible. It has such a clean surroundings and pleasant atmosphere. Our drinks, chips and salsa and entree came with the right amount of wait time and we were ready to explorge. Everything was on point and we had a very appetizing and delicious meal as well as a wonderful time.

I had the fajitas (beef and chicken) this time. They were very good! I really like the 3 dips they bring with chips before the meal. As my waiter told me, "the one on the right will make your tongue sweat!" All three are good and he's right, one is really hot to me. The restaurant is beautiful! When you come in the door, you see the dessert case and if you're lucky , you might hear the waiter/waitress's sing Happy Birthday to someone. Visit date: 04/27/2026 Time range: 7AM-8:30AM…read moredelivery, pickup, or dine in: Dine in Y'all I was born and raised in South Texas. I feel that it is my job to know exactly where the best tacos are located in all of the cities in South Texas. That being said I looked up a few places online in Eagle pass, Texas and then I really deep dived. This restaurant was hidden amongst the MANY MANY options. Only having 14 reviews on yelp I said let me give it a try. I get there parking lot is empty and it's actually a bit confusing how to park. I finally decided to make up the parking myself and parked my car. Walked inside and was greeted by a friendly waitress. Only about three people working there. Dining room was empty. I will say it was around 7:00AM when I walked in on a Monday so I didn't expect no one to be there. That concerned me a little. However, I was given the menu it was all in Spanish. Luckily I understand most Spanish, but just can't speak it. I told the waitress who spoke English and Spanish what I wanted. Which was 2 potato, egg, and cheese tacos on flour; 1 bacon, egg, and cheese on flour and 1 Mexican coke to start and 1 to go. This is my go to breakfast taco order. The order came out rather quickly, but also not too quickly if that makes sense. The waitress brought it out on a beautiful hand painted authentic Mexican plate. The style kind of reminded me of my travels to Puebla, Mexico. I felt right at home. The tortillas were a nice color, the potatoes and bacon weren't soggy, and the cheese was melted! Those are my automatic failures for a restaurant if it is messed up on my breakfast taco and so far Gaona's had passed. Now time for my first bite. WOW. The texture, of the entire taco was amazing. The taco was a decent temperature not too hot which I like. The one thing I really want to rave about and that I know a lot of my family would love- is that the tortilla was TOSTADA and guess what... I didn't have to ask!!!!! Everywhere I go we always ask for our tortillas to be tostada, but this morning I was so exhausted from work the day before that I completely forgot. A tortilla makes the taco. The egg was cooked well, bacon was in strips and CRISPY, but NOT burnt and the potatoes (chef kiss) were perfection. I would say out of all the taco places I've tried this would rank in my top five. One thing I did find myself gravitating to was adding a bit more salt to my taco, but I grew up in a sodium loving family. So my love for salt is unmatched. After I finished my tacos I stayed a little bit longer to finish some work at my table and the waitress still checked up on me even though I should have left a long time ago. It hit around 8AM and people started to come in and this was the crowd I was hoping for as I was concerned no one would be there. This crowd though wasn't just any crowd... I could tell these families coming in with abuelas, abuelos, tíos/tias, primos/primas, the entire familia showing up weren't just guests they were actually regulars. It seemed everyone who enter had been there multiple times already and had their designated tables. That's what I love about a small restaurant like that to the staff you are family and that's what makes the tacos even better. This place is a hole in the wall, but that's a wall I would also run through! Go try it out you won't regret it! Just good luck parking if you are the first one there and there aren't any cars parked already, because when I was leaving all the cars outside were totally parked differently than me, but somehow their way made a lot more sense. Here's what I ordered and cost down below: - 1 Taco Tocino Con huevo: $4.49 - 2 Taco de Papa con Huevo: $3.49ea -2 Coca Cola Mexicana: $4.49ea Total gross amount of order not including tip: $20.51 I'll be back next quarter for sure!

Image your grandma's best patch of beans. You remembering how good she makes them? Now forget about them because these are better!!!! They're the perfect amount of spicey, with a flawless flavor that makes you go mmmm. Now, my husband ordered an order of mini tacos. 5 come in an order. He chose the mixto order. Which means he was able to pick five different types of meat to go into each taco (one flavor in each). * Sirloin, bistec, chicken, etc.* He was in love!!! He was in such a good mood after eating these tacos, I took advantage of his mood and ordered my whole wish list from Amazon. The green sauce on the right of his tacos in the pic is sensational as well. If I wasn't a Christian, I would have put that bottle right into my purse. The only grievance I have is that their tea is flavored. But I'm basic so that might not bother most people. But it sure did break my heart that they don't have plain regular sweet tea. And the service needs work. They're not rude what so ever, they just forget you're there sometimes.
