I recall last year on Halloween day, the store had a sign say "No more Candy" in the afternoon when the children is inline to do Trick or Treat. Each year there is only one event offering kids candy, which is the cheapest say go advertise candy store. I hope Corporate/management please reconsider this year to offer kids candy for a fun event for children. If you like private funds. I like the cute vibe of the shop and the staff were very helpful. My only complaint is the overpriced stale rice crispy treat. It just tasted super dry and stale and was not worth $8 at all. It even said expires Nov 2022, I'm scared to know when it was made. I would rather make my own next time. read more

This is located inside Alderwood Mall. Its a pretty neat candy store but also has similar set up like the other Sweet Factory places. New competition! You can grab a bag and start scooping items into the bag to be weighed later for whatever price. They do have a decent selection of English candy bars, slightly different Kit Kat flavors from Japan, and some other items you've never seen before. Large gummy bear display sits all the way in the back with many many gummy treats to choose from. They also have some higher end treats by their chocolatier, a truffle counter up front by the register, but we didnt see anything that tickled our fancy so we passed on it. My favorite part of the store is their drinks fridge, a lot of different root beers, sodas, old school Coke/7-Up bottles, some Japanese drinks, and some interesting flavors like Bacon Soda, Peanut Butter & Jelly Soda, and Buffalo Wing Soda. Pretty funny, but I was too much of a wussy to try one. Its a pretty cool candy shop, I thought it would be more of a soda jerk shop. They only dressed like they work at a soda shop. Anyways, we filled a few bags with some treats and went on our merry way skipping out the store. read more

A friend and I were in the area for lunch and suggested checking this place out when I said I wanted refined sugar. The cutest candy store I've seen in a long time. The decor, the products and the services took me to a happy, sweet place! I really felt transported! There is a chocolate library filled with an assortment of chocolate treats. From chocolate dipped nuts and fruits to truffles and barks. The room filled with candy from our childhood was so fun! Candy cigarettes, wax bottle candies, runts and all the rest! The gummy bear room was so fun! We had an assortment; mango and grapefruit were my favorites. There was also an international section where I bought my friend matcha kit Kats from Japan! I also purchased a butter beer! There is a small clearance/discount section near the cashier highlighting specials and markdown products. Other items such as lollipops, truffles, and other fine confections are strategically located throughout the store. I went in and wanted to see what kind of options would be available for my dietary needs. One of the three associates working, Tim, very politely walked me through the store and assessed my food restrictions and helped me find solutions to get my fill of sweets. One of the other employees, Cyanne, was very helpful in assisting with finding some sweet sodas and pleasantly helped me overlook ingredients in some candies I missed from my childhood. A girl named Ivy was working as well, and although she was helping others throughout the store she made it a point to ensure I was doing okay when I was browsing on my own. All three of the employees working were very helpful, friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and provided an exceptional experience I did not expect with my dietary restrictions. On most occasions at other places, I am dismissed and simply ignored because employees just don't want to take the time. At Lolli and Pops in the Alderwood Mall, however, I was treated and felt like a valued customer. read more

This store is AMAZING! Granted, I have a little bit of a sweet tooth, but this store is SO adorable. It reminds me of being somewhere old school but with a modern twist. It's the first in Washington, but there are other locations across the US. I love the chocolate covered gummy bears! I was so upset last time I came here and they were already out. But they have tons of different chocolate covered options, like honey comb, cinnamon, chocolate covered BANANA gummy bears, and so on. There's a separate room for just gummy type of stuff. There's old school candy (Velvet Crumble, ftw), popular Asian candies (green tea kit-kats), truffles, and on and on. If you have a sweet tooth, or want to try something different, I definitely recommend coming here. I kind of pity the Sweet Factory now that Lolli and Pops is here. read more

When you walk by Lolli and Pops, the old-timey vibe will sing to you like a siren. Heed the call! There's candy in there, and it's good. The store is beautiful and well organized, with a room of gummies in the back, a room of chocolate to the side, and different displays organized by theme. My teen didn't make it past the Harry Potter display at the front, but there's a lot to see and sample here. The clerk in the gummy room offered a sample of a jalapeno gummy, and then graciously offered me a tissue when I found it MUCH too spicy. Fun to sample, though! Everything we've bought in both their locations has been excellent. I'm familiar with a lot of the chocolate brands from the NW Chocolate Expo, and they have some of the best craft brands (Askinosie, Dandelion). There is also a selection of adorable truffles by the checkout stand. read more

How cute is this place?! It's been a year or so since I have been to Alderwood and was surprised to see a lot of the stores had changed. I was pretty bummed when I saw the Sweet Factory had closed down but Lolli and Pops takes the cake is definitely an upgrade for this mall. This old school speciality candy store is what every little kid (and face it adults) dream about. Upon entrance, you are enticed with beautifully displayed old school lollipops. Tables are filled with specialty flavors and brands that can't be found in your regular grocery store. Aside from prepackaged candy Lolli and Pop also have three large areas where you can weigh out and create your own candy mix. Toward the back of the store, they have all of their gummies, separated by flavor and size. Off to the left they have their artisan collection of speciality chocolates, I'm talking butter toffee covered almonds and blueberry chocolate drops. And for those who love the classics, well those are there too - bigger and better than before. They had giant Snickers, half pound Reese's and huge Kit Kats. Off to the side they also have a retro soda and root beer fridge with tons of different brands and flavors. Gotta check this place out! read more

The hubby and I were in the mall to get coats and we passed this amazing candy shop. It is the cutest candy shop I have ever seen! It is like someone crawled in my head and out popped my dream candy store. It almost reminds me of something out of Harry Potter. SO CUTE. read more

I'll preface this with the fact that in my house Lolli and Pops is a staple. We are borderline obsessed. We recently worked with the Alderwood location and more specifically, Steven and Luis, on a big ol' order of a lot of chocolate for a smores bar for our upcoming wedding. We were so impressed by how easy they made the process, their recommendations, and the price vs. quality. As always, the store was clean, well organized, and the other employees were eager to show us all sorts of yummys while my fiance and I debated how many of each flavor chocolate to get (we ended up choosing TWELVE different types of delicious chocolate). When we came to pick up everything Luis had it all organized and took the time to make sure all of the larger bars were not broken before he gave them to us. Sadly, they don't seem to know where anything is, if they carry something or not etc. I get the feeling this is where all the failed retail clerks come to rest. They have a good assortment of candy both foreign and domestic. They have a beverage case, too, with an exotic assortment. They have a truffle case as well. This awesome candy shop is located inside the Alderwood mall. The shop is long and narrow, so if you come here... know to not block the whole walkway. Be considerate and share the limited space. This shop is larger than the nearby Sweet Factory, and it has a larger selection. Though, lots of this stuff is pretty pricey. A box of giant Pocky is $26... so be prepared to spend a sweet penny here. They have a huge selection and everything is organized nicely. So it's relatively easy to find what you're looking for, or discover something amazing! Though because the shop is pretty narrow, keep your kids close and don't let them run around. It's early to knock things off shelves, even with big purses. In all, it's an awesome candy shop and even if you don't buy anything... it smells amazing in here so be sure to at least stop by to check it out. read more

We visited the store today and enjoyed what they had. The reason for 3-stars is the price of $13 a pound is quite a bit, the Canadian candy is way overpriced ($2.75 to $3.50 per bar) and the staff were not very knowledgeable about what they were selling. We specifically asked which of the gummy candies were gluten free and were directed to one little rack on the wall. My husband then realized that the labels on the bins notated which were gluten free and it was way more than what the staff had said that there was. You work there, how do you not know? And if you don't know, don't just make up an answer..... I will say that the other staff we interacted with were very pleasant and we will return, but only for something special. read more

This was the most extraordinary candy shop experience I've ever had. Luis was an amazing host, helping us to sample a wide array of his favorite sweets and sours throughout the store. He was kind, knowledgeable, playful, and obviously quite happy to bounce around shop and share the wealth of his experience he'd gained over his two years with the company. I came in for a spur of the moment look around as we saw a new store at the Alderwood Mall (new for us, as we go every 6 months or so) It was really organized inside, and the staff was friendly. I really did enjoy looking at everything they had to sell. I wasn't digging the prices though, they seemed a bit high - especially from the Sweet Factory that used to be in the mall. This is my favorite candy store around! They have the old standard candies and new and exciting choices as well! Taking my kids here is like going to candy Disney Land! The sales staff is always so helpful and kind and generous with the samples! Tim is our favorite guy at the store and we are always excited to see him! Any place filled with candy is nice, but there's definitely better out there. The selection is OK, but I was hoping for more unique candy, or things that you don't see as often (I like old fashioned candy stores that have horehound). The imported candy is way overpriced (you can get it for the price of a hershey's bar if you just go to a European or Asian grocery store, depending on what you're looking for). But they do have some treats that I can't find anywhere else right now (the giant rice crispy treats are amazing-try the one with the caramel corn). Staff was nice but could have been more attentive. Overall, it's a cute place, and has some nostalgia factor for people who want to find candy they ate in the 60s. But it's overpriced and the selection that isn't too costly isn't much different than any other place that sells candy. Also, I know jelly beans sell, but I am so sick of jelly belly. read more

Hannah and Cyanne went out of their way to pack the gift in a beautiful gift bag, and stuffed the gift bag with tissue paper. The whole experience was a delight. I kept thinking of Willy Wonka, especially because of Luis, who dispensed sample after sample with warm commentary on why each one was his favorite. He anchored the magic (jokes, entertainment, charisma!) and deserves every corporate accolade, along with Hannah, who chimed in at key moments with earnest recommendations. Something about a store dedicated to sheer joy creates an atmosphere that's hard to find anywhere else. I highly recommend that you stop by, ask for a few bites, and let yourself be charmed into purchasing several canisters of root beer, rationalizing that you'll use it to entertain guests. This will motivate you to entertain more guests in order to minimize cognitive dissonance. As a direct result of visiting Lolli and Pops, your social life will improve. This is the first time I have seen a lolli & pops store. I love candy and candy stores so it was a treat to see this. I was disappointed at the prices of packaged candy. Most of it seems pretty pricy and out of my budget. It is organized and very visually appealing! If you have the money then I would recommend it. This place has excellent customer service! I visited on a weekday when the mall wasn't very crowded, so that may have been part of the reason I was able to get such great personal attention. But regardless of the reason, THIS is how customer service should be! My friend was looking for an orange milk chocolate and Steven was able to show us several. He even let us sample all three of them. He let us try several kinds of "cookies and cream" chocolates too - it was hard to choose! He also gave us a tour of the gummy candies in the back of the store, which were delicious - and I normally dislike gummies. Steven said they're so good because they're made of real fruit extract. This guy really knows his candies! If you're in the market for something specific, he can find it for you. It's rare to find someone this knowledgeable and helpful nowadays and I wanted to give kudos where it's deserved. This place has a great selection, it's clean and well-organized, and all the staff I interacted with were able to answer my questions. A+ read more

Just got to say I really love the look of this store. It just reminds me of that Candy shop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory that we all wish we had as a kid. They definitely have a good selection of candys, also like how you can do the candy by weight with tins instead of just standard plastic baggies. They also have a very nice assortment of candies from Japan i.e. Strawberry Cheesecake Kit Kats, and Green Tea Crunch Bars things of that nature. The Alderwood Mall Lolli and Pops is an amazing store with a whimsical and fun atmosphere. With an assortment of nostalgia inducing candies, as well as novelty and foreign sweets, the selection here is varied enough to find something new every time. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and made my first visit a fun experience. I received great recommendations from Luis in particular, who changed my life a little bit with the suggestion of a s'mores truffle (which I'm now in love with). His customer service was excellent and made me want to come back and try out more of their specialty chocolates. Although I didn't used to buy sweets very often, I want to shop here simply because it's such a great experience. I will definitely be spending way too much of my money at Lolli and Pops. read more

My kids have been fans of the Lolli and Pops store at Alderwood since it opened in 2014. The employees are super friendly and offer you samples of things you might like to try before you decide. The store has a huge selection of bulk candy and tons of other novelty and gourmet items. There is a room in the back filled with all shapes and flavors of gummies (and a giant golden gummy bear statue), a big chocolate room along one side, and a room at the front with many classic candy options. They have a display counter filled with upscale truffles and nicely done displays and shelves throughout the store with a multitude of goodies and confections. It is worth a visit just to be amazed at the variety/selection and presentation. You will find a feast for the eyes as well as the tummy. Last year we got a "Forever Jar." These come in different sizes and prices but the idea is that you pay up front and over the next year, you get to refill the jar 52 times for "free." It comes with a special gold-trimmed card they mark off each time. Not only is it fun to fill the jar, it makes the average cost of the candy MUCH less because you make the up-front investment. Due to our Forever Jar we have became very regular visitors and there has never been a time when the experience and employees were not excellent. All of them! One time we were not even in the store and had stopped at some mall seating to get candy out of the jar to eat by dumping it out onto a napkin. An employee who was passing by on a break stopped, thinking we had spilled or dropped our candy, and told us they would gladly replace it. Their commitment to customer satisfaction doesn't stop at the door! Every employee we've met has been great, but our favorite person is Luis. He is so genuinely friendly, welcoming and engaging, and he really knows the products. He can discuss the nuances of various gummy candy flavors and textures at length if you are so inclined.
