It's a nice little tea/coffee shop, with great tables for studying. The staff was really friendly. They have a pretty decent menu of milk tea, flavored teas and slushes. I tried the pumpkin milk tea w/ egg nog pudding. That's two things I have never seen at a milk tea shop before. I love that they have seasonal flavors like that and I love that the environment is chill enough for people to bring their laptops and hangout. The drink was too sweet in my opinion but that's expected I think from most milk tea spots. I am giving this place an extra star just because there are barely any milk tea spots in the Denver area. Where do i start... came in and asked whats popular, were recommended to get the royal milk tea. Its really generic and basic but i went with it anyways cause decisions are hard even when you grow up. Taste just like a regular milk tea with nothing special to it. The ambience is nice and they got shelves full of japanese and chinese manga. I looked around and didnt see a single person that was asian so i guess those are just there for show. Some of the best boba that I've tried in awhile! The interior of the place is very clean and tidy, which is surprising for a place with so many people coming and going. There are so many different flavors and add-on's to choose from, but I always stick to something simplistic. If you order mango, it will taste like fresh mango - it's magic like that. The bobas are always deliciously chewy and the jellies and puddings are flavourful, a nice alternative. Someone once introduced me to the iced coffee with four-pudding and now it is my go to. I also do an iced jasmine tea with lychee jelly or taro snow bubble with bobas. A taste and texture for every mood! My only qualm is they are a bit expensive. At $5-6 per drink, it rivals Starbucks and there's even less room to sit because they're always busy. They've gotten so popular, all the tables are filled with people playing games or using their laptops. A few times now, I've come to try and hang out with people and there is barely a place to stand. Their drinks don't leave a gritty feel on my teeth after I drink it so that's my favorite part! I usually get the Thai tea or almond milk tea and both have been freaking delicious! Their decorations are usually pretty awesome too! If you like Anime, you'll LOVE this place. When I was in middle school I carpooled with an eight year old girl who would go on and on about this place and how amazing it was and how she would ALWAYS go there when her dad used to pick her up from school. I was not inclined to race on over because a) she was annoying and b) she seemed to me like she would pretty much eat anything. Eventually, I surrendered because I simply could not STAND her asking if I had been there yet for one more day. Needless to say, I was almost embarassed when I tried it that I ever doubted the little girl's taste. No doubt this place is strange and intimidating upon first arrival. There's "regulars" sitting around playing games, men typing away on their laptops, teeny-boppers hanging in a booth, and a menu on the wall that looks like gibberish. I have been going to this place now for about six years and it really never gets old. From slushes to snowbubbles from combinations like peppermint vanilla to mango passionfruit, you can NEVER get bored OR too full. Depending on how full I am already, I either get no boba or just 1/4 (there's no way to finish a full drink AND full boba unless you just want to be chewing boba all day long). You can also get jellies in your drink which I have tried separately but never wanted to actually get it in my drink just because they seem to small and sweet! But it's really all up to you. No matter what mood you're in, you can definitely find a drink to suit you! If you're looking for a boba shop in Colorado, don't even bother. Trusting my fellow yelpers 4 star reviews, I decided to come here and give it a shot. They allowed me to sample their boba which was super soggy so I decided to pass on that. I ordered 2 mango green teas, less sweet (which was a mistake by me- I should have only ordered one to try it). It was basically mango syrup, water, and a very small amount of tea. It basically tasted like Arizona Ice Tea. Just so you know, the milk teas are all made using coffee creamer and not real milk. I've been to the Lollicups back in California and the quality and standards are much different than the ones here. What did I expect? Not much, but it was pretty bad.. Of those different owners, the lady who was there today seemed to be one of the kinder owners! I usually get iced tea with just a dash of sweetener, but I decided to be a little wild tonight. I went with the Sesame Milk Tea. WILD, right? It wasn't too shabby! I liked it, but it was a bit sweet for my taste. My sister thought it tasted kind of like peanut butter. I think I liked it because it reminded me of this little box of black sesame soy milk my mom used to buy me when I was younger. If black sesame doesn't sound appealing to you, Honeydew, Matcha Green Tea, Thai Tea, and Milk Tea are some of my favorites. Though, most of the flavors are pretty tasty! So, you have different options when ordering: You can get slush or snow. Slush is icier (think 7eleven slurpee), and snow is thicker and smoother, like a smoothie! I always go with the snow. You can get different toppings like tapioca pearls, assorted jellies, and pudding! I usually get the tapioca pearls, but ask for a half serving, or "1/2 boba". Dude, this place is nice. And cmon, the name is Lollicup and it's just fun to say that word over and over again! I've passed by this place hundreds of times and never it knew it thanks to it's snug location right behind the IHOP and next to Guitar Center off Colorado. We went for Thai food on Saturday night and decided to keep the theme rolling by stopping here. I wasn't expecting a lot of people to be there but there was a decent crowd for a Saturday night with some conversing, using the free wifi, playing chess, etc. However, crowd control was the least of my worries--decided on a flavor of milk tea took that title. They have tons of flavors ranging from traditional to funky like pumpkin (eating anything pumpkin when it's near 100 degrees out just felt wrong). I saw they had cappuccino flavor and game was on. Add some yummy tapioca balls (aka boba) to it and you have what one could only call a refreshing party in my mouth! Unfortunately, if you are looking for a top-notch boba spot then you won't find one in Colorado. However, this is the best option you have. There are three different lollicups in Colorado and this one makes it to the top of the list. It easily has the best atmosphere to enjoy company with friends, and also serves decent drinks. A few tea shops around Colorado serve boba in addition to their more popular items, and these locations may be your best choice if you are looking for truly good boba (I.e. the boba from Ku Cha House in Boulder has very good tapioca balls, although the drink is a bit bland).
