It's a seasonal place. Comfortable seating outside for memorable moments.

Had a lot of variety. Enjoyed the leisure stroll home, while savoring my waffle come.

was looking for a local ice cream joint in the bronx and this caught my eye on yelp. went with a friend a tuesday ~7:45 and was skeptical since the place was totally empty. (on yelp it says they're closed certain days but it's totally inaccurate if you call there's a recording that says hours) we were so pleasantly surprised. the hostess is so incredibley sweet and kind and let us try literally every flavor. I would ask her what a flavor was (they have unique names!!) and as she answered she'd be giving me a taste sample. the boozy ice creams are strong! for someone that doesn't drink even the trinity flavor was way too strong of rum for me. I opted for funfetti which was awesome. each flavor tastes super fresh and light, nothing too sickening sweet or artificial. the texture is also a highlight. they only take credit cards for $10 and up, there is also ample street parking and a small lot. there's small seating inside and two benches out. the price is a bit high but for the portion is a steal. for two scoops (only way to get two flavors) it's $8 and literally a pint of ice cream it's unreal. I do wish they let you do two flavors in a "small size" but it's understandable. you will not be disappointed. can't wait to return.

Finally, after driving past this place all summer, I was able to stop and try the ice cream. After sampling many different flavors ( all alcohol flavored) I settled on the Ciroc Pineapple ice cream. I was not disappointed at all and would definitely go back.

Hubs and I had the most decadent Lemon Italian Icee at an old-time pizzeria in Brooklyn not long ago. Since then, they've been our trustworthy blueprint for Lemon Icee. Gene Bean's located inside the Arthur Avenue Retail Market and came up as "Ice Cream and Sorbet"- offering other sweet treats too. A big check mark for these guys because these Zeppoles are fresh and fried on the spot- but were heavy and thick- missing that true, light feel. Our Italian Icee experience was decent though. When everything was said and done, popping the trunk to enjoy our treats, was a nice ending in Little Italy at night.

The cups for the scoops didn't have lids that fit, so I ended up tying individual plastic bags around each and hoping it would work. It ended up a melted mess puddle inside each bag and not in the cups. The flavors were fine, not too much variety, but one plus was their in house affogato was excellent. Though again, the staff seemed confused how to make it and kept asking me which ice cream flavor and how many espresso shots. I'd go back for an affogato in the future, in house only.

We simply can't leave without it. Their cappuccinos are excellent--my personal favorite is the Nutella cappuccino--and my 6-year-old always asks for their rich hot chocolate. Before leaving, we always grab a gelato to go and pick up a box of pastries for the week. Everything we've tried has been fresh, delicious, and beautifully made, and they offer a wonderful variety of classic Italian desserts. The shop itself is small and cozy, which adds to its authentic neighborhood bakery charm. Just keep in mind that there isn't a dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to find street parking--and in Little Italy, that can definitely require a little patience! If you're visiting Arthur Avenue, Delillo Pastry Shop is a stop you shouldn't skip. It's one of those places that keeps you coming back year after year.

But the taste is great, the portions are huge, and it's definitely worth it! Pistachio: The pistachio flavor is very strong, even a bit salty. Those who like it will love it, while those who don't might find it strange--for example, my dad thought it tasted like salted fish. No Sugar Added Hazelnut: The best of the bunch. The nutty and creamy aroma of hazelnuts is rich, and because no sugar is added, it's not too sweet. A pure yet exquisite flavor. Strawberry Mascarpone & Ricotta: Amazing! It tastes like strawberry cheesecake! The perfect amount of cheese, combined with the refreshing strawberry jam, is simply wonderful. Cranberry: A very simple fruit sorbet. Most people might find it too sour, but for someone like me who loves sour flavors and had just eaten in Thai restaurant like Tha Phraya, it was perfect. Refreshing, natural, and helps cut through the greasiness.

I settled on the pistachio creme brulee (one flavor). It was a creme brulee base with pistachios mixed in. The texture was a little more liquidy than what I expect from gelato. I ask for a few fruit and nut biscotti as well. Somehow a filler was added, it wasn't even biscotti?? It was a flat, flavorless cookie. I would have enjoyed sesame cookies but I wasn't asked.
