This company is the worst, all they want is your money. Once they have it you're on your own. Their customer service is the worst. I just took my vacation through them and even the hotel doesn't want them their lobby. We had the most difficult time getting in touch with them. And when we did, it was only to be treated with disrespect and rudeness. Honestly book somewhere else, they're over priced. and then they treat you like you're bothering them for service. There are better travel agencies, with better prices and more importantly better customer service. Had an absolutely fantastic experience with Lomas and would gladly use them again. They are the provider of our airport transfers while staying in Riviera Maya, and I used them to book a couple of extra tours during our stay. And while we haven't left yet, we few been absolutely thrilled with their service so far. First off, they were super easy to find in the sea of transportation options when leaving Cancun airport. In their distinctive teal shirts and crisp white pants it was easy to spot the Lomas representative and grab our private shuttle to the Riviera Maya. Our driver, Jose, was super friendly and professional. Here at the Hard Rock Hotel, Lomas has a staffed table upstairs above the Hacienda lobby. When I went to confirm our return shuttle to the airport I was greeted by the very knowledgeable Rubi, who told me about the many tours available to book through Lomas. There was everything from a glass-blowing factory tour to a taco party. Not to mention all the tours that make this area so famous: cenotes, Mayan ruins, fishing, sailing, you name it. I told her what we most wanted was a relaxing day on a catamaran. She immediately thought of a luxury sailing and snorkel trip. Then she confirmed the best weather day and booked us for this weekend. Lomas was professional from start to finish during our wedding trip. We used their services for shuttling ourselves + our guests from the Cancun Airport to our resort located in the Hotel Zone. They sent detailed instructions on how to find them - hard to miss those teal shirts and white pants! They also had a sign with our names on it, making it especially easy to find them. All employees were so friendly and got us in our private, air conditioned shuttle quickly. We figured we had slightly special treatment because we're the wedding couple. They offered us iced champagne for the drive! But we found out all guests had access to chilled beverages, along with top tier shuttling service. I would recommend booking them for your next private transfer to/from the Cancun airport! Update: Some guests were surprised that the return shuttle was so early. Up to 4 hours before the flight. But if you remember a year ago when there was a huge Cancun airport arrival/departure debacle (due to construction, accidents, etc people took up to 6-7 hours to get to the airport from the hotel zone), it's clear that Lomas just want to ensure you make your flight on time, even in the event that a massive issue comes up on the road. Did not give proper communication of pickup time within the 48 hour timeline advised. blames the customer. Upon pickup car had broken air vents and Driver spoke little to no English. Free wifi was advertised, but driver had no idea how to use or and basically didn't understand what we were asking for with even referencing the posted sign. No water or any other consideration given, despite the heat. After getting in the van was made to wait another 10 minutes to 15 minutes for others. Van was out of the 90s and had no / minimal A/C. Not giving a 1 star as the departure / pick-up from the hotel to the airport on our departure date was smooth and they had a more up to date van for that, with what you would expect in 2025. read more

I had no issues with Lomas travel while visiting Cancun for a wedding. They were easy to find outside of the airport. Our rides were pre-arranged for us. Our driver found our name on the list and we had a private SUV escort us to our hotel. Our driver had some beverages ready for us upon arrival. He also spoke in English a little. I had a hard time scanning the QR for my return information, but my friend's phone worked for that. I have Verizon service, and even though it was supposed to work upon arrival, it was not working. We verified a day before we left and confirmed our pick-up time from the hotel. The driver came about 10 minutes late, but we had no issue on the return. We were picked up in a van for the return, not as fancy as the beautiful vehicle we arrived in. Our return driver did not speak any English, but I gave him directions to the terminal in Spanish and he also had it in on a printed sheet. I would have rather listened to hispanic music on the way back, which took an hour at 8:20 in the morning rush hour traffic, than hear the Spanish News Station the entire way back. I guess I could have asked for a different station, but as long as he was awake to drive in the crazy traffic, (you can't even tell which lane the car in front of you is in) I listened and tried to make sense of all the things they were talking about. We had private transfers between two hotels, Cancun to the Tulum area halfway through our trip, & then from Tulum to the airport in Cancun at the end of our trip. Both times, the Lomas drivers were exactly on time, quick, the drivers were friendly, masked, drove safely, there was free WiFi available &, at the airport in Cancun, there was a full staff of Lomas reps who met the van & walked us into the airport (we didn't need their help, but they were nice folks, &, of course, we tipped them). If I could give them negative stars I would. We had airport transfers prepaid for to and from our hotel, about 45 minutes away. To say they were unprofessional would be an understatement. When we arrived, we waited for almost an hour to get a car to the hotel. My husband had to ask them what was going on every 15 minutes as they were not updating us. He also kept explaining that I had thrown out my back and could not stand up for this long and that our two children were melting in the heat (there was no where to sit and we were outside without shade). The people running the place were fairly rude throughout and clearly did not have enough cars. The on the way back, the driver arrived about 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Normally that would be fine, but we were still checking out and told him that we were only expecting him at the appointed time of 11 (which they insisted on being 4 hours before arrival). At 11::08 he called us and said he would leave, so my husband ran to the car to catch him, while I followed with the bellhop and two small kids, arriving about 5 minutes after. Obviously we were at fault for being late, but I've never had a driver(or anyone) not give a 15 minute grace period. When i got to the car, he refused to open the door saying that he could not take us because it would take three hours to get to the airport because of traffic. He said the office told him no. Finally, between us and the hotel, we convinced him to open the door and have the hotel load the bags. Then we had to sign for the number of bags he had loaded. He didn't believe that my husbands signature was real, and insisted on looking at my husbands driver license (we were en route to the airport at this point and I was nervous that this guy was up to something). In any event he was very rude and hostile and then said we might not make the flight because it would take 3 hours. That was not true. At no point in time was that true. We knew this immediately because we could check Google maps simultaneously. When we got to the airport about 50-60 minutes after he picked us up (a far cry from the 3 hours he kept insisting on), he suddenly adopted a very conciliatory tone, blaming his office. I'm not sure if he wanted a tip or what, but I was just happy to be out of the car at that point. I do believe that his office was partially at fault, but it only underscores the point that this company was far from professional and clearly doesn't have enough drivers. Anyway, for a car transfer that isn't cheap and purports to be luxury it was fairly awful. read more

We had transfer to and from Cancun airport schedules and paid for. Upon arrival, we were told 5-10 minutes and to wait. Every 15 minutes or so, they came back to us and said another 5-10 minutes. About 5@ minutes later, we were finally taken. To leave, they sent a message and said we would be picked up at 8. We said we'd prefer 8:45 and we had no reply. They called around 8:15 am and said they were waiting and would be leaving without us. We got down there at 8:35 and they had left. We were never told that our request could or could not be accommodated not that the driver had arrived. We ended up paying a taxi to take us. Stayed at Generations Riviera Maya, and attempted to schedule a number of the trips/events that were marketed as 'included' for our 8 person all inclusive trip. They have one representative on the entire resort property for part of the day only. I waited 2 hours the first day of our arrival before moving on. 1.5 hours the second day, and 2 hours the third day before just giving up. I can't emphasize this enough... schedule elsewhere before you get to the resort if you plan on using them. It may just be this wretched resort, but I do not know. The shuttle from the airport was good though, but I can't go above one star for a taxi ride. read more

Literally - What more could you want? Upon booking shuttle to Cancun Resort Lomas sent detailed instructions how to locate them at the airport, which we followed. Immediately Pedro was there taking all 4 of our bags with ease! He lead us to our Ice cold (It was hot outside!) air conditioned private shuttle and placed all of our bags inside. The driver was very friendly and took us to our hotel, about a 20-25 minute drive. The Return trip was even more amazing because Carlos took us inside, helped get our tickets and check our bags! - What shuttle company does that? We so appreciated Carlos!! Mucho Gracias Carols!! Another family mentioned because of their many airline delays Lomas air conditioned worry free ride was the best part of the travel process. Lomas and its former management group, Karisma have recently gone through a messy separation. Karisma was informed that their contract would not be renewed and responded unprofessionally. Lomas made the unwise decision to let Karisma have ownership of the domain and Karisma had complete access to Lomas' database. Given this, Karisma used this information to scam Lomas customers using accurate information such as reservation numbers, arrival/departure dates, and locations. Lomas' customers were contacted and warned that their reservations would be cancelled without payment in full within a set date. Previously, payment was conveniently done through their website. This was no longer possible since Lomas let Karisma own the domain. Lomas does not currently have a functioning website. Lomas is aware of this and does not seem to care. Their assurance that this will not happen again in the future does not inspire much confidence given that the previous scams were ultimately a result of the business decision to let Karisma own the domain. Their advice is to try to get resort credit from a known scammer who, apparently, does not manage properties all that well. In summary - do business with Lomas at your own risk. It anything bad happens as a result of bad management on their part they will not care. read more

I will say that arriving at the airport in another country can be overwhelming. There were several modes of travel - I had this one, only because the booking agent had them pre-arranged. For that reason, I am not sure of the cost (as my agent did not provide a breakdown, just a reminder that IF you use a agent - find a good one - as I did not). IF I had booked myself, I would have done my research being that there were other modes of transportations. PRO's: My driver to and from was awesome!!! Specifically TO my hotel. I was greeted with a welcome bag that included water and native chips (similar to our Lay's). The bag was already in my seat and I was a little parched so this came right on time!! He spoke some English and I spoke some Spanish (both of us were limited, but we made the conversation work). I rode alone, so he gave me a quick tour on the way. I had a list of things I wanted to see and do, so he showed me ALL of them and how to get to them economically. I was appreciative of that! The driver would not allow me to open any doors and he made sure to ask if I was comfy. I know he was working for that tip, but I believe he went above what was needed and made me feel safe. The driver FROM my hotel was just as nice. This trip had hiccups, as I was not riding alone this time. The driver arrived early and even though there were issues, we pulled off about five minutes later than expected. I was at a different side of the airport than most in the van. He took me there and told me where to board and what to do. Both times the van was clean and fresh. CON's: They seemed un-organized, but this could have had a lot to do with the horrible work of the travel agent - so I won't put that all on them. I called in advance and they had no record of me or my roommate. ODD. I also really liked that they would have a sign with your name on it as you arrive, I thought that would make for a killer Instagram post!!! BUT, because I was with a group (mind you I arrived alone and rode alone) - the sign had the name of the group. How disappointing. I waited about 10 minutes for someone who didn't show (maybe flight issues), but no one communicated what the hold up was. I was just standing there and they kept talking to each other in a hushed voice (this is after they said my ride was on the way). Would have been nice to offer me a beverage. I also booked an excursion through Lomas Travel and this was a different experience, by far. Although I suggest the transportation (only if it is reasonably priced compared to others), I do not suggest Lomas Travel in the hotel. PRO's: The driver had the same professionalism as the others and the driver definitely drove!!! It started to rain and I was worried, but he got us there. He drove like it wasn't raining at all. And, it was really coming down. I think it took us maybe an hour and half to get there, so the rain was finished once we arrived. CON's: ALL the trips were overpriced. I asked about a trip to the Myan Ruins and it would have cost me about $190 bucks. Mind you there is no food, no entrance fee, it is just a tour. They said transportation to and from was costly and the tour guide. It was a all day tour but that was way overpriced. I also asked how much it would be to go to the tourist area that the driver had showed me, I knew it wasn't far off. Also a tour. Now, at first - both the agents kept trying to confuse me with "technicalities" - something I knew was off because I had seen the entire area and what was there. It would be $150 (this included a shorter tour, no food or beverages, and transportation). I knew (from the driver) it was less than $1 American dollar (minimal pesos) to take the bus in Mexico. I asked at the end of them making me think it was far. They said yes it was minimal pesos (but you had to have exact change - which you didn't) and that it was a far walk (which it wasn't). I opted to tour on my own except for the one excursion. A quick google search and you can find out about all the place and things the tour guide might show you. read more

Our drivers were fantastic. I didn't have any issues with my transfer. Our plane was delayed from the start. Lomas was there waiting for us when we arrived. We were taken straight to the hotel. I called Lomas to make sure they were coming to pick me up for my return flight at the correct time. The next day they were right on time! No issues at all! I will definitely use them again in the future. Cons: I didn't like how the guy told my friend and I that we had to call Guillermo the next day. In the end, the driver told us that we will get a direct trip to the resort without any stops. The return trip was terrible.. we were promised to be picked up at 1:05. The van arrived 25minutes late. Seriously, they did not even apologize for being late. We did end up getting to the airport with some time to check in. Again, avoid this company. Customer service is lacking. This company doesn't care one iota about customer experiences. They hire aggressively rude and horrible employees, who are willing to lie, be scornful of the people they are supposed to help, and are more interested in covering their own butts than proving the services they offer. I arranged a transfer from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen through a company who hired Lomas Travel. First they failed to show at the appropriate time, then they refused to answer their phone for 45+ minutes so the company I was working with was unable to reach them and work things out. Then some nice folks from eTransfers (use them instead!) helped me find a manager for Lomas, who first ignored me, then made me wait longer, then outright lied about being there on time (they weren't) and was outrageously rude and never offered an apology or explanation. This manager also showed me a picture of the sign with my name on it and made a rude remark of how this proves his employee was on time (it proves nothing). He was more interested "proving" his lie to be true than simply offering a "sorry for the mix up." Literally, don't use these people. If you look at recent reviews on several well known platforms (especially their weddings branch) you will see what I mean. While their low level staff may be okay (drivers, etc) the coordinator at Cancun Airport obviously hates other humans and shouldn't work in tourism. read more

Through no fault of our own, flight and baggage were delayed at arrival. They left. When we called, we were assured a refund for the taxi. Didn't happen. Sat with a rep at our hotel (do NOT trust Mario!!) and he explained how we were wrong for not contacting them (impossible from the air, and then reception was awful at the airport). Was ASSURED everything would be perfect for our departure. (Another lie!) Big rain storm, streets flooded, and Lomas is "running late" but can't tell you how late. WORST service I've ever experienced. Lomas Travel scheduled my ride from hotel to airport for the incorrect date. When I went to the hotel concierge to confirm my pickup, they admitted they made a mistake and MARIA put me on hold for 30 min so she could coordinate another pick up time for my ride to the airport today. Turns out she had hung up the line and did not bother calling back the hotel concierge to let us know. When we were finally able to reconnect to Lomas, MARIA said the only pick up time she had available was 15 min from now. My flight is not for another 6 hours. I had not began packing yet and it would be impossible to make that pick up time. On top of that if I wasn't on hold for 30min, it could've been an option. DO NOT USE THIS TRANSPORT COMPANY. They are very inconsiderate and do not offer reasonable solutions for your travels. The hotel concierge was nice enough to offer the solution of using a taxi instead. read more

My first trip to Mexico, They seemed friendly at first, while trying to coax me into paying extra for a private shuttle. They lie to you and suggest that your trip will take way longer if you don't use a private shuttle (at an extra cost off course). Had to wait outside in the heat for over 30 minutes before we were finally seated in a van, AC in van was terrible extremely hot in the back of the van. At the Hotel they will do and say anything to sell you a tour "overpriced", without explaining some of the particulars, like having to pay extra for shuttle service when getting to the site. And explaining more about the tour guides on site and what to expect. Unfortunately, at least at The Dorado Royale, they appear to be your only option. Try to avoid them if you can. On our last day they claimed that because some in the group were late they refused to provide our group with a shuttle back to airport and we all had to pay for a Taxi, almost missed our flight. Dan and this company was right there with us through the entire process. From the time I contacted the company until we departed at the airport this company was with us the whole way. Answering every question within minutes! The drivers were awesome! And The guys at the airport were awesome too. Luis was our driver to our destination. And Estefan Lopez was our driver on the return trip. When I arrived at the airport to leave I found that I had lost my immigration paperwork, and one of the staff members from Lomas guided me through the process and told me what I needed to do. It would've been an incredibly scary process if they weren't there holding my hand. I wish I remembered that staff members name, but he was my angel in a stressful time. and my sister was in a wheelchair, and this company managed her disability, and the wheelchair, with such grace and dignity. I cannot say enough good things about this company! If you want a comfortable and trustworthy company, this is the one! It was less expensive than what I would've paid the hotel for the transfer, and since we were an hour south of the airport, it was a big savings. The drivers were very kind and personable, I definitely would use them again and recommend them to everybody. Our 19th year going to Mexico and can not say enough about Lomas .We arrived at the pick up area and were immediately greeted by them and within 5 minutes were in our private transfer and on our way. Last few years its been 30 to 45 minutes before our ride. This year we decided to try Lomas and were glad we did. Vehicle clean and luxurious. Driver had cold drinks for us and a pleasure to talk to. Our driver was Mariano Martinez and one of the best we ever had in 19 years. On our way home I had left my cell phone in the limo which I noticed after going thru security. We called Lomas and they got my phone back to me before our flight. What a great job they have earned our business from now on and THANKS AGAIN for making our vacation one of our BEST!!! read more

Lomas operated our transportation to and from Maroma for an excursion day, booked through our hotel concierge. We were picked up in a 15-ish person van and taken to Maroma. It was early, so no one was particularly talkative. Which was just fine for sleepy, early-mornng me. We were taken back to our hotel in a larger bus, with reclining seats and window shades (very welcome pluses following an adventure filled day!) We got where we needed to be, in comfort, so I can't complain! read more

We had a horrible, nightmare experience with Lomas! After booking our dolphin excursion several days in advance, they never told us where to meet to begin the excursion. When we tried to call their number for further instructions, nobody would answer their phones. Our travel agent was finally able to get through but by this time, we had missed the beginning of the excursion and had to spend several hundred dollars in ferry fees and taxis to catch up. By the time we met up, we had missed most of the excursion. Even though Lomas acknowledged their mistake verbally, they refused to offer any kind of refund. I do not recommend Lomas travel. Upon exiting the airport doors, we began to make our way down the transportation sidewalk. We stopped and asked the first Lomas worker we saw what van terminal to go to. The man said to us, "I have three employees right at the doors- you didn't see them? We said no, coming out of the doors is chaotic. We also usually book with Thomas Moore so we weren't aware of what color shirts Lomas was & apologized if we missed them." The worker pulled his cell phone out and showed us a picture of his workers "8 minutes ago". We said, thank you for showing us that, but we did not see them. He got mad, then told what bay to go to. We go down and check in. We wait there for 2 hours without our shuttle coming. Our friends who were on a later flight got in after us, got their Lomas transfer right away and said just ride with us since we're going to the same resort. The Lomas workers initially said no. We had to wait for another person who booked a transfer (not with us). We asked when their arrival was and we had already been waiting 2 hours, and our friends transfer had room. After a 10 minute debate they finally let us go with them. When it was time for our transfer from our hotel back to the airport, we did the chat feature they recommended, but never got a response. The Lomas worker at the hotel did not show, we were told to come back to noon and they'll be here. They never came. We eventually called. They told us they were going to pick us up at our hotel at 12:00 even though our flight was at 1745. I asked for a later pick up time and they said no. That they had other trips to complete and that's when they could get us. I canceled the ride. We ended up taking the money hit and booked with USA Transfers back. Do yourself a favor when in CUN, use Thomas Moore, USA Transfers or a private taxi. read more

As I sit here at 717 waiting for my transport to go on the only adventure I had planned for my trip I am finding it hard to enjoy anything. We were told be there in time which was 556 am. I guess that only applies to me not the driver. Next call to stop payment on the trip. read more
