One week after leaving a full 14 months of lockdown, I went to my cousin's rehearsal dinner and wedding, both held at Lombardi House. He and his wife were supposed to get married last June, and they ended up getting the certificate months ago before holding an outdoor wedding in mid-May. The venue was pleasant and attractive, a cheerfully restored Victorian-style farmhouse in Hollywood with a spacious green backyard. Both the rehearsal dinner and reception took place outdoors, while the ceremony itself was in a sort of barn, not quite indoors, but covered, and opening out into the rest of the yard. I don't know what role, if any, Lombardi House played in the bar/catering set-up, but that all worked well. The wedding was lovely, a celebration of love and togetherness that was extremely welcome after this last year. I gather that Lombardi House is available for other events, and that it's also a bed and breakfast (my cousin and his wife spent the weekend at the house). I don't know what the planning/logistical side looks like, but I enjoyed my visits as a wedding guest and would recommend the place if you're looking for a nice venue in central L.A. read more

Beautiful venue for any event. I went to a Mother's Day brunch supporting #FANSwithacause2019 and had a wonderful time. The grounds are just beautiful, well maintained, clean and spacious. The barn is a great space for setting up tables and chairs. It's covered,has great lighting and interiors. Our brunch was set up for 140 guests and it was perfect. The event was catered by LadyBugzInc..delicious food and service. Overall a very special and unique venue with lots of space indoors and outdoors, located right in the middle of Hollywood. My daughter was married this past Saturday evening at Lombardi House and without exaggeration (or touting my own horn!), it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen! Lombardi is a hidden gem, a beautiful oasis in the heart of Hollywood. With its stunning farmhouse, amazing barn, garden, oak tree perfect for dancing under, it was the most romantic, warm, intimate venue and we couldn't have been more thrilled. And to top it off, the Manager, Sydnee Valdes, is a dream come true...organized, caring, doing everything possible to ensure our event was everything we dreamed of. She is a true delight to work with and I am so grateful that she was on site to make sure everything went perfectly, even as we partied into the night through the after-party in the farmhouse! I came hear for the Freeform Halloween House and this place is gorgeous! I can see why it's used for weddings. Backyard is spacious and the barn is beautiful. The shrubbery around the house shields it from outside noise and local businesses. Plenty of privacy for any event. Beautiful house in a random street next to Tommy's. Parking was horrible but if you give yourself enough time you can find street parking. read more

Beautiful place for an event! It is mostly set up outdoors with the restroom inside as well as an indoor area where some booths were set up. There were couches laid out as well as floral arrangements and even a chandelier hanging outside. Such lovely decoration, and there was plenty of space for everyone. I hold many events around LA for the office I work for and this is one of my top 5 venues in the city! It really has that great authentic California vibe with a touch of elegance. The staff was very accommodating which is super important in the event planning world! They were easily reachable and always able to help me at a moments notice. (Shout out to Candace- She knows her stuff) The weekend dates book up fast ....so secure your date in ADVANCE. I remember a couple of people wanted the same date, but I got in early. You can use their suggested vendors or bring your own, which is always a plus! I hate it when venues have so many restrictions, but not Lombardi! I brought in my own caterer and it worked very well. We had a wonderful set up in the barn and the outdoor areas. People were coming up to me constantly telling me how beautiful and fun this place is! For this area and the capacity this venue holds, the prices are wonderful, you will not be able to find that anywhere else! Hopefully will have many more events at Lombardi! read more

The Knot hosted a FABULOUS event last night at the Lombardi House! THIS SPACE IS PERFECT!!!!! There was curbside valet by SBEvalet. The Entrance was beautifully lite and we were greeted with pineapple smoothies and a wine bar under the giant hanging trees. A long front yard led us to the fancy barn where there was there was another bar by Scarlette Bartending and a LARGE dance floor with lounge furniture all the way around. Through the doors there was another lounge space with delicatable desserts by Superfine Bakery! Continuing into the Spacious backyard there was an interactive photo booth, more food stations and plenty of room to party! The house itself is stunning!!! This place is such a beautiful venue, my friend had a wonderful wedding here and I thought it was breathtaking, she had farm animals such as bunnies, a title, a goat, and a llama..., she set up a cute phot booth, a cute sofa in the middle of the lawn, a cute bike that said just married, the house is a barn looking house with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and a wonderful kitchen... My fiancé and I had a tour appointment with event coordinator Stephanie at 8:30am. Unfortunately for us, Stephanie never showed for this appointment. We arrived 5 minutes early, and watched the Alliance of Moms set up for their fundraiser event that morning. No one had seen Stephanie yet, but that was okay since we were a few minutes early. However, by 8:45 am several of their coordinators stopped by to make sure someone was coming to help us. Still no Stephanie, nor any call or email from her. Mind you she has my cell phone number from our initial correspondence through the Venue Report, but I don't have hers. At 8:50 one of the vendors asked if we could help her unload drums for her group performance (wasn't really a request, more of a statement), so unable to say no we helped unload her van for 15 minutes. Mind you, we were there to discuss spending thousands of dollars to rent the venue for our wedding...did we really want to be free labor because Stephanie didn't show? By 9:05 we were done helping and out of there. Even if the coordinator wasn't a no show...the grass was dying, the buildings looked like they could be cleaned up a bit, and the freeway noise was too much for conversation at a normal tone. Plus Tommy Burger over the fence would have been the view if we were to have an outdoor ceremony on their lawn...no thanks. At 10:11am Stephanie finally gave me a call (I let that go to voicemail). She mentioned something about the (required) valet having issues (again, not impressive) and that she was working on it. Then she said she heard we were helping out a vendor and figured she had a few more minutes with the valet. NOT acceptable. She knew we were there and didn't make an effort to find us? Stephanie then had the audacity to say she waited by the gate and never saw us. Of course she didn't, 35 minutes was long enough to wait around for her. Highly unprofessional, highly inappropriate behavior for someone at a supposed high caliber facility. Every other venue I've ever contacted has responded within one business day with PDF's of pricing and options for scheduling a tour. It took the Lombardi House 4 days to reply to my initial outreach, and my questions were never answered besides scheduling a tour. read more

Review for communicating with Stephanie who manages the inbound communications: It's not that Stephanie is a mean or rude person, but she is not the right person to be managing communications for this venue. I first contacted the venue in late Decemeber, then received a reply the next morning (great!). I replied to the message, then no response for two weeks. It's the holidays so I don't find it unreasonable. I email Stephanie twice in January a week apart to no reply. I called in and reached her, only to be told she'll call me right back. No call back received. I emailed again, and finally got a reply. I sent some follow up questions the same day and no reply for a month. I've spoken to wedding venues in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston, and Mexico. No one has been as bad at managing communications. I don't think the scenario is she is purposely ignoring people but she doesn't have the organization skills to stay on top of incoming clients. Lombardi House needs to hire additional staff in order to keep up with managing volume. The venue may be beautiful but when customers' first impression of the organization is dismissiveness and lack of organization, it doesn't set a good tone for moving forward. read more

Checked out Lombardi House for a possible wedding venue. Aside from the potential parking fiasco for an event, the barn looked really nice. We quickly placed this venue near the top of our list and contacted the event manager for more details. After follow up calls and follow up calls, we were promised an estimate no later than Monday night. It is now Saturday night and we haven't had any contact with her since. It's too bad that her incompetence lost out on potential business for the venue. We have since been in constant contact with another venue and their contrasting service makes us believe that we will have an easier time planning a venue over there. read more

Prefacing this review by stating that I did not host an event here (though not for lack of trying), and that I think the space is beautiful. This review is for the unprofessional and unresponsive management/coordinators that handle the booking of the venue. Lombardi house had been on my Pinterest wedding board as my #1 dream wedding venue location for years, so when the Fiancé and I were ready to start looking at venues I immediately contacted the Lombardi house for a quote. No response. I followed up a few weeks later....Crickets. This should have been an indication of the professionalism of this venue and I was honestly getting very frustrated with the lack of response. Soon after, I got a notification through Instagram that the Lombardi house would be hosting a "Sip-And-See" event, basically an open house where interested customers could come visit the venue, sample catering, beverages, desserts etc. I was ecstatic! We immediately RSVP'd to the event. The Sip-and-See event was lovely. The venue was even more beautiful than I had hoped, we instantly clicked with a caterer and were planning the menu and picturing our entire wedding. When we were getting ready to leave the event I tracked down one of the coordinators and told her we wanted to see available dates in 2018 so we could put a hold on one. That's when she told me that the Lombardi house would be closed for renovations for all of 2018. It was a complete bait and switch. None of this was communicated to us when we RSVP'd to the event, when we walked in, or at any other point before we were walking out the door. They were just trying to fill up the un-booked Nov/Dec dates in 2017. We had fallen in love with the venue and were crushed to learn we would not be able to have our wedding here. I sent a follow-up email after the event asking them to please PLEASE let me know if anything changed with the renovations schedule and if 2018 opened up for booking. Not surprisingly, I got absolutely no response. The Fiancé and I moved forward with booking another venue for the wedding of course, put deposits down and went on with life. It's now April and to my surprise, Lombardi house posts on Instagram "Just Kidding...we will be open ALL OF 2018!!! Book your dates now!!!!". So....I could have had the wedding I had been dreaming of, in the venue I'd had my eye on for years, only of course now it's too late. Honestly I feel like I dodged a bullet here. Trying to plan a wedding with the horrible lack of communication provided by the venue would have been hell. Being a bride is stressful enough as it is! read more

This place is gorgeous. Perfect for an outdoor barn wedding in the middle of Hollywood. I saw photos from online but didn't think much of it until I came in and saw it for myself. The lights and the ambiance was just refreshing. It's hard to believe something this country-like and beautiful would be in the middle of Hollywood. The string lights just gave it a barn feel with an actual barn. The white barn is gorgeous. AMBIANCE: If you're looking for a rustic barn wedding but don't want to actually drive to a barn in the middle of nowhere. This may be it. I'm guessing it could fit about 200 people for an outdoor wedding. Also, this would be the best place to have an afterparty in the heart of Hollywood. Something to think about. PARKING: Street or valet. They offer valet service. OVERALL: This is a gorgeous place. I wouldn't mind getting married again here (to the same guy of course). read more

Came here for an event and feel in LOVE! It's a beautiful hide-away in the middle of hollywood. You really feel removed from the bustle of Hollywood x Vine, even though it's walking distance from the metro. Plenty of night-time parking on Bronson also. Just opened, this venue is country chic, done up beautifully. They had string lights across the alley between the barn and the main house, which gave it a rustic chic feel and made us feel right at home. The entire space is surrounded by bushes and tall trees, so you have an escape from the city and really feel like you're on a mini vacation. All the rooms are done with reclaimed woods and nice finishes. Nothing too fancy, but definitely intentional and with style. The space itself has tons of areas where you can have fire pits, or wedding ceremonies, or booths and stations. It really is the perfect hosting venue, right in the middle of the city, and yet feeling worlds apart. Can't wait to come back or host an event here! read more

I've been to this venue a couple of times for different events (whiskey tastings, weddings, Google events, etc) and it has always been a great experience. It's pretty awesome to see the versatility of the venue when you change up the decor. They usually do have valet in the front, but not sure about the availability of parking other than that. I LOVE LOMBARDI HOUSE!! It's the perfect intimate setting in the best part of town and you don't even feel like you're in LA, more like a Victorian cottage in the NorthEast. There are so many venue options for the size of your event and the staff is extremely helpful in accommodating your needs. Seriously they will go above and beyond to help with your event and you (and your guests) will be in love with everything! A Stunning Gem in the heart of the city! I recently visited the Lombardi House to check out another venue for our high school reunion. Yep, stuck with the task of getting together a bunch of people I sort of knew and enjoyed under-age drinking with... I was surprised to find such a clean, open and new place in Hollywood. I had read about the place on Yelp and my wife had heard about it from her friend up in LA. It looks like they just re-did the whole place, everything was immaculate and they even had a lush green lawn (probably brand new). I was lucky enough to meet Stephanie on my visit who took care of my wife and I. She even had an ice cold beer for me and a glass of wine for my wife so we could walk around a bit and check the place out. Needless to say I liked it, I liked it a lot! Venue chosen, check my duty off the list for the reunion. I highly recommend it to others. It is not the monster church or empty warehouse, its a little off the beaten path and has charm that other places can only attempt to create. There is also a solid donut spot close by, Kettle Glazed... for the next morning of course! read more

I was super excited to check out Lombardi House for my upcoming wedding, and found it disappointing. It s right off of the 101 and has tons of freeway noise. I'm sure music would drown it out, but I didn't like that off the bat. The house itself is very nicely decorated, but that only helps you if you're staying there. As far as a wedding venue, I was not impressed. The barn is an awkward shape and I found it very small. I do not see how it could comfortably seat more than 100 people with a dance floor, and that would be a stretch. The lawn area, where you would do the ceremony, is also very small and awkwardly shaped. I just didn't like the flow of the space. The only restrooms would be in the suite closest to the barn area, which would probably also be where the bride and groom would get ready and even stay that night. The in-house coordinator is a lot less responsive than other venues I looked at, and it was not easy to make an appointment to see it. I think it would be a nice venue for a smaller event like a baby shower or something, but I do not see this as a good place to have a wedding ceremony, cocktails and reception for any more than 70 people. read more

I did not stay at Lombardi house, this is just a review of their service. It seems like an amazing space however I made a suite reservation (and paid) through their online booking system. I called to ask about parking only to be told that there was a glitch in their system, they are double booked and my reservation would be cancelled, my money returned, and a follow-up email sent to me. That was in November. 1 month later, none of this has been done. If it didn't look so nice and functional, I would think it was a scam. However, I will be in LA in the next few days and I will be following up with this, hopefully they can improve my current impression of them. read more

My daughter's birthday was this past Sunday at Lombardi house and I have nothing but great things to say about the space, the staff and the clean up crew. The staff was so helpful, honest and accommodating. Candace was the coordinator I worked with and she was wonderful. She connected me with all her reliable vendors for catering, valet, party rentals and a sweets table. My guests were so impressed by the beautiful space and the amazing food. Everyone asked where I found this gem of a place from and asked to look around the property...they were also impressed with the decor and ambiance of the home as were we. The rooms we used were clean and well maintained the day of the event. We were able to change, shower and get ready in the rooms before our event. A clean up crew came in the morning of and thoroughly cleaned the house, the barn, the grass, and the parking area without even having to ask. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends...and even stay in one of the rooms when we need a close getaway from the busy world. They were even kind enough to give me my own private room so that I can cool down and have some downtime before, during, and after my party. I am so happy with the turnout of my event.
