The Kimpton Everly Hotel is a boutique and modern hotel located in Hollywood just north of Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It's conveniently located around all the touristy activities but also near other things like restaurants, bars, nightclubs, Griffith Observatory, and the Hollywood Sign. Our room had a king size bed, a modern bathroom, a couch, and a direct view of the Hollywood Sign. We brought our dog since we saw online that there were no restrictions or extra fees for bringing pets. They even brought up a pet bed which was really unique and cool to see. Other amenities include a 24 hour fitness center, multiple restaurants, rooftop pool and lobby bar, drip coffee in the morning, daily social hour with free wine, and complimentary EV charging. They only have valet parking for $75 and you can request your car from your phone. Everyone from the front desk staff to the valet were very friendly and we really enjoyed the amenities. Stayed at the Everly Kimpton and had a really nice experience overall. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, and the hotel has a lot going for it. The gym was well-equipped, the bar was a great place to unwind, and while the room décor was just okay, everything was comfortable. One standout was how quiet the room was--I slept really well without hearing much noise. My friend was especially impressed with the excellent water pressure in the shower, which definitely deserves a mention. The only real downside was that the curtains didn't completely close, so more light came into the room than I would have liked in the morning. Aside from that minor issue and the fact that guests have to ask for a coffee maker for their room, I'd happily stay here again. read more

Once a new hotspot, in just a few years it has been the worst Kimpton experience ever. Valet upon check-in ~ no courtesy. Front desk ~ no hospitality or status recognition. Room ~ no upgrade though we are supposed to get one with our status. Inside the room was visibly abused and needed a facelift and repair. Bartender ~ though they see guests waitin to order, too busy lining up glasses until called on. The hotel has a run down abused feel from the furnishings to absence of service. We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel convenient to our weekend performances at the Pantages Theater and Walt Disney Concert Hall. Wie have stayed at several Kimpton hotels and have always been pleased. Our experience here was no different. The room was comfortable, the price reasonable and the lobby and restaurants pleasant and lively. It is an easy walk to the Pantages Theater. And a short drive to DTLA. A signature of Kimpton hotels is their afternoon happy hour. This one was in a terrific rooftop area adjacent to the pool and offered free wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks along with some very tasty meatballs. Delightful. Next time we buy tickets to the Pantages, this will be our go=to place to stay. read more

I booked a stay at the Everly for a big special birthday and arranged for friends to meet me for happy hour. I was a bit trepidatious because I'd never been there before and wasn't sure how it would work for drinks with friends. Turned out to be the perfect space! First off, the hotel acknowledged my birthday and gifted me with some delicious complimentary champagne upon check in. Our room was lovely with a living room suite looking out at the Hollywood sign. Traffic noise was zero so great sound proofing. A clawfoot tub, some very jedi like bathrobes, large comfy bed. Room was great. There were cheddar fish crackers I discovered when I put up the back cushion on the chair that were missed by the cleaning staff, but I'm always willing to give some grace. Bar downstairs had a weekend happy hour with food and it was all lovely. The place feels airy, spacious, with great vibes of plants and muted colors. The staff was so welcoming as my friends began coming in. Everyone loved the space. The moment that I really felt this place was a level up from other boutique brands was when the manager, Danielle Patterson, must have overheard me complaining about how much my feet hurt in heels on hard wood floors and told me to hold one second and came back with complimentary slippers!! The Asian lady working at the front desk yesterday on 9/3/26 at 12pm is racist. Avoid this place if you are not white. I was checking out and asked for a key so I would be able to use the fitness center or pool before I left since I got in late the night before and didn't have a chance to see the amenities. She refused to make a new key for me. Her tone of voice was also very off-putting and demeaning towards me. I saw another white lady come and ask her for the same thing, and she made a new key card for her within 30 seconds. My room key didn't work anymore to use the amenities, and other staff had to help me. Because racism is so widespread in LA, Asians should understand how it feels to be treated less than for being a minority and be conscious of not treating others that way. All over town I see Asians prioritizing white people over everyone else. It is ironic because certain white people do not care about Asians at all and would never prioritize them. So why are they doing that? God created everyone equal. It is illegal for hotels and restaurants to discriminate against people. Patrons may choose to sue the hotel over matters such as this. Employees need training on how to treat people with equality. read more

Gorgeous hotel that is in a great location. Hollywood is about 2 blocks away! There is only valet parking at$65 a day but included in and out privileges. $20 parking if not staying overnight. Gorgeous hotel. They have free shot or drink when you check in. You just take the vouchers to the bar. They have free wine I think at 5 or 6pm. They have free amenities if you forgot any item. Lots of little free perks included with your stay. You can get a free bike rental and a picnic basket. The room is nice and had a view of the Hollywood sign. Closest I've stayed at with a view of the Hollywood sign. Hotel is very clean. Service was amazing. Soap in the shower smelled really good. I chose the Kimpton primarily based on its proximity to the Hollywood Palladium. In that sense, it was the right spot to get to and from the concert venue on foot (and even have food options to choose from on your way back). The views from my room and the hotel in general were also nice; makes the up hill hike worth it. They could up the ante on the hospitality though. I checked in at approximately 10:03pm, minutes after the hotel restaurant closed. When I inquired with the front desk staff who was checking me in, he simply said "you just missed it." Okay, cool, do you recommend anything in the area then? Nope? Alright.... My room was "cleaned" the first day but not very well. Crumbs from a pastry remained on the floor and the bedding was so wrinkled that it honestly looked better without being made up. Yikes. Lastly, I spent $50 on two cocktails during happy hour, but I'm not very happy about that price. The bartender and my server at breakfast were absolutely lovely though! To avoid the $8 water (yikes again), walk to the nearby Trader Joe's or CVS. read more

This place has been a pleasure to be around. The people that work here make it gold!! Christopher's is a one of a kind bar tended. He is very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to be around!!! The cocktails are delicious, they play music which makes it enjoyable. It's overly loud. Perfect place to get work done too. If you're a small business owner, they have a conference room, the Jane cafe offers beautiful selections of trays and coffee. Their coffee is one of the stars of the shows for me!!!!!! I've had coffee different places but nothing is life the coffee at the Kimpton everly!! I absolutely love coming here. At night time, the restaurant written hand comes alive, it's beautiful. My friend ended up feeling really bad about a personal issue and a woman Nomi came over and wanted to make sure we were ok. She was so kind and talked with us and she turned the day around! Clean-Classy meets Simple-Contemporary with a European feel. This hotel is pricey, yet you certainly get what you pay for! I do feel the valet parking is significantly over-priced. Particularly considering you have no choice. Once out of your car, you walk in through a bougie large glass door. At check in, you are offered a glass of champagne and provided a list of amenities which include free coffee service in the morning, picnic kit with basket, blanket, etc. (food not included), and fun activities (free pool party with BBQ & tequila tasting). The rooms are nice-sized with modern bathrooms simple, yet comfortable furniture, and include robes & an umbrella. They have any number of items you may have forgotten, just a phone call away. Though their list is robust, according to the notice, they will get it for you, if they don't have it. The staff is friendly and helpful. Me being in a wheelchair, I appreciated the ease of accessibility around the hotel. The only note to that is, if you parked on the street, Uber, etc. there is a ramp with tight corners. And since leaving a week ago I have called Accounting and Billing at least 4 times and left messages asking for a return call. I just now called front desk (in the event the VM for accounting wasn't working) to leave an additional message and was on hold 9 minutes. Also rooms seem a little stark -even the 1BR Suites were sparse (no coffee table or sofa cushions) Bathroom had some black mold growing on the shower tiles and we stayed 3 nights and no one caught this. I am posting this public warning regarding a severe data privacy and security failure at the Kimpton Everly Hotel. While not physically at the property, I woke up to an IHG app notification for an active stay at this hotel under my loyalty account. Upon logging in, I was granted full access to view the active room invoice, billing details, and stay information of a completely different guest checked into Rooms 0807/0817. Simultaneously, the hotel confirmed that my personal identifiable information (PII)--including my phone number and address--was improperly linked to this stranger's stay. When I contacted the hotel, the Front Desk Supervisor, Natalie, dismissed the gravity of the breach, claiming a third-party booking just "accidentally" attached my loyalty number, and even suggested I just keep the points. Exposing one guest's financial and stay data to a stranger--while leaking my personal information--is a massive data security failure and a major privacy violation. If you value your personal data and privacy, think twice before trusting this property or IHG's current digital check-in protocols until they take data security seriously. Hollywood, CA: Very convenient location close to Hollywood Boulevard and walking distance to the small but mighty Fonda Theater. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. I especially appreciate Ivan's help solving a minor issue with care and kindness. Thank you!! The room was clean and set up nicely with a fridge and bottled water (charge for water). Ceiling was funky, could use some attention. Bed was comfy enough and bathroom had nice towels and shower with free standing tub. Cocktail hour with free wine was nice surprise, took the edge off the steep parking fee of $65 + taxes which is typical of LA these days. (2024). It's worth it to be walking close to some venues and not have to find parking. I've stayed at the Kimpton in Beverly Hills close to UCLA and it was a lovely hotel as well. read more

Overall, I think Everly is almost there, but falls a bit short. The good: 1. staff was warm and welcoming. They were the highlight of our stay. Shoutout to MONSE for her wonderful hospitality :) 2. location was close to the Walk of Fame, which made for a fun evening walk 3. the view from our 10th floor was nice, especially during sunrise 4. the Social Hour! The light bites of beef dumplings were good, and the drinks choices were few but solid 5. Very nice coffee and tea selection in the morning 6. I really liked the lobby! It had a combination of low, comfy lounge seats plus tables next to bright, floor length windows. I really enjoyed relaxing as well as working on my laptop in the lobby at different times of the day. 7. we didn't use it, but the pool area was nice with lots of lounge chairs and a view of DTLA The not so good: 1. overnight parking was outrageously expensive, it cost $70 for one night! 2. the room needs an upgrade. The bed was too soft due to the mattress being old. Same with the TV; it kept having connection problems to both live channels, as well as when we tried to cast streaming platforms. Maintenance showed up quickly, but the problem persisted. It's a matter of old TV having bad connections, you can tell by the way it was slow to respond to the remote 3. decor was disappointing and feels almost lazy. The room itself was very basic compared to other Kimptons we've been to, with minimal, worn furniture and random, tiny bad wall art that didn't go with anything. Same with the lobby; there was barely any Christmas decorations, and what was there was really minimal and bland. I think it would've been easy to glam it up a bit more and make it festive. I stayed at the Everly Hotel on 8/1/25 and had such a great experience! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by a friendly valet who helped with my bags and made check-in a breeze. Spencer at the front desk was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our entire stay--his service alone would bring me back! We were greeted with a glass of rosé upon arrival, which was such a nice touch. The hotel offers a happy hour and complimentary coffee in the mornings, which made our stay feel even more relaxed. Located right in the heart of Hollywood, it's within walking distance of all the action on Hollywood Blvd. The lobby is modern and chic, complete with a stylish bar and restaurant. While the room itself was fairly simple, the bed was comfortable and everything we needed was conveniently available. I am a well traveled tourist whom has not been to LA in 35 or so years. So far, the team at the Kimpton has made it just lovely. We arrived early and requested to park our car and walk until check in. Valet John Paul said "absolutely". I'm sure we paid for this convenience however it was very helpful. Check in- Louie was our concierge. He was smiles, and filled with information. He also started our visit with sparkling rose. Which was a nice treat. Cocktail hour- Haniq was our Hostess. She is delightful. We spent a deal of time comparing travel stories. While having a wonderful conversation we were provided cocktails and (very) light hors' dourves. Coffee at 6am- this is exactly as it sounds. Coffee or hot water with every dairy and non dairy cream options known to mankind. The concierge working (whom I did not get his name) was just as warm at 6 am as I'm sure he was when he started his shift at 11pm. For a 3rd shift team member, this is not easily accomplished. The hotel - warmly lit and highly inviting. Now for the cons- Not particularly in hotels control: we did not bring cash. There is an atm which is serviced by 3rd party and outdated. Which means me only having my contactless debit card had to try to find a different way to tip our team members. Now, completely in the hotels control. And I also read this in a previous review. The ceiling in our room is in complete disarray. It is sheet rock that needs to be patched and painted. I was very surprised by this in a 4 star hotel. The rest of my lovely experience outshined my sadness of the ceiling. We also used the room for sleeping, so I didn't have look at it long. -"noise". I did not feel the hotel was "noisy" however I could hear quite a bit of noise. People in the hall. The elevator "ding". Sirens on the street...even with blackout curtains drawn. I know the "noise canceling" windows are quite an experience but maybe it's time to look at the upgrade. Ultimately, the team made the visit. Stayed at this hotel for five days as part of a group so I did not select the hotel. The hotel is in the midst of an area with a high homeless population. My sister had an especially frightening experience when a psychotic homeless man approached her (on hotel property) very closely then screamed at her, shouted obscenities, and made lewd and violent remarks to her while she was standing outside alone. The hotel needs a security guard in front of its property. It seems like the hotel has just given up in terms of its failure to collect trash left on its property. This photo shows trash left for two days. We were there as part of a tour group. There was a consistent "comedy of errors" when it came to our catering. Our group of 37 people would find our dining area locked (even though it was our time to be there), and frequently the food would be 5 to 10 minutes late in being set up. The quality of the food was generally pretty disappointing. Once the hotel ran out of food before even half of our group had a chance to approach the buffet. It was soon replenished, but there was a consistent vibe of scarcity. Our first night during our welcome reception we were told by our anxious tour guide "the hotel has only allocated one canapé per person"! On a positive note, staff are exceptionally gracious and friendly and rooms are clean and refreshed daily. read more

My friend and I recently stayed at this Boutique Hotel for 4 nights. Service was excellent from the front desk and valet. The lobby is quite impressive. A lot of seating, chairs, couches to relax on with nice artwork surrounding. The Bar was beautiful with a nice touch of a free Happy Hour daily. In the morning the bar area sets up complementary coffee and tea. Good to note because the rooms do not have coffee makers. They have a pool table and free candy counter which unfortunately were both commandeered by little kids throwing the pool balls and sticking their hands in the candy jars instead of using the tongs and candy bags every time I glanced over. The rooms were nice, spacious with a mini fridge and safe and 2 big complimentary soda waters. Bathroom was nicely designed. I took advantage of the gym, plenty of Cardio, weights and my favorite, a Peloton bike. For a Boutique Hotel, there are some definite improvements that could be made. 1. On the surface the hotel looks clean, our room needed a deep clean, cup stains on all the surface tops and bathroom counters. Carpet didn't feel clean. Room walls had splash marks. Thank goodness I always carry Clorox wipes with me. 2. Bathroom shower had no door and the half glass wall was not sufficient in keeping the water in. Design Flaw. We put the bath mat down and it was soaked, like dripping soaked. 3. Towel shortage: when we arrived in our room there were only 3 bath towels, that was it. I called housekeeping on 2 occasions for more bath, hand and wash clothes in lieu of cleaning our room daily. Towels took forever to be delivered. 4. Gym, well equip but not clean. Water dispenser overflowing. There were plenty of wipes the 4 days I used it. No towels again... a tiny rack that holds 6 towels. Other than that all was good. Absolutely beautiful hotel in a prime location near Hollywood. Never stayed at Kimpton so I decided to give it a shot when I needed a place to stay for a night in LA for a dinner event. The rooms are impressively clean, the staff were nice and accommodating. They switched us to a double bed room instead of a king bed room upon check in without any issues. Amenities such as the gym and pool were amazing. The pool has a great view overlooking the city. The gym has an Peloton bike. Complimentary coffee and teas each morning with a really comfortable lobby area. There's a full size bar and pool table for guests to use until midnight. Jane Q is the restaurant and cafe in the hotel, giving a high end dining feel especially for brunch. The only complaint I can name for the hotel is the valet only parking. The cost is $55 per night which is extremely steep I think even for LA. read more

I had high hopes as I am a Kimpton fan. The Everly was a dirty little place with angry and combative service. It's cute though. The pizza place downstairs was good too. The pool was cold and closes at 8pm. The valet was run ragged but kept a smile on his face. My least favorite parts were the dirty corners and my room had old soap and an old rag left. Recently I visited a friend at this hotel. And it truly is a lovely hotel situated in a great part of Hollywood next to the Capital records building. It definitely does not look like the average Hollywood hotel, far from that. Very low-key stylish hotel, very clean, and employees are very attentive.. I appreciated the security of the hotel making it very difficult for visitors to just walk in and upstairs. I did find the hallways on the floors with the rooms, to be a little overly heated. But the rooms were great looking very spacious and with everything that you could possibly want. I would definitely recommend it. read more

Visited the Rooftop of the Hotel for an event and let me tell you what an experience. VIP service, execution, and incredible welcome. The check in to the event was seamless they had prints available for the first 100 guests, when you went up the elevator and arrived at the rooftop you were greeted with a refreshing beverage from the wonderful staff, there were popsicle and water stations around since it was held during the middle of a massive heat wave. Big props to Corey and his whole team at the hotel, what a night, what an experience would definitely stay at this hotel, attend any events they happen to do in the future. If I could book that rooftop for any event in the future I would jump at the chance. read more

We stayed at the Everly for four nights last week. Using the social password at check in allowed us to select from several cards that were face down. We were told the prizes included free parking, a movie, and a bottle of champagne among others. We lucked out when I selected a complimentary upgrade from our king city view to a junior suite city view. Can we talked about the claw footed soaker tub? Amazing. Housekeeping included some lovely smelling bath salts on one of the days. The hotel was extremely quiet, which was especially surprising during Pride Week. The city view was incredible, and the wall to wall window treatments allowed us to avoid almost all light if we wanted to sleep in. If you drive your own car, be aware that the hotel entrance in incredibly steep, as are the overnight parking fees. We utilized Uber, and most drivers opted to pick up on the street to avoid the incline. read more

We stayed here for one night so that we were close to universal studios which is about 5 mins away. I enjoyed seeing the Hollywood sign from our room (b/c the kid was excited) but did not enjoy seeing the homeless people right outside the window (welcome to Cali). Anyway, the hotel has good amenities; $15 comp and HH. Parking is $60 a night so I guess there is a balance there. The shower was not clean and we found hair in the sheets and the shower. We also noticed black mold in the shower. The room itself did not feel clean or have a fresh scent. read more

I attended a Bosnia and Herzegovina travel agent event in one of the lower level rooms. The valet entrance is a little tricky and steep but the valet guys are quick to take your car and retrieve it. It looked tacky and more like a Motel 6 than a Kimpton property. * Outlets were poorly placed, with only one side of the bed having outlets--and even then, they were awkwardly positioned near the foot of the bed. This made charging devices inconvenient, especially for two people. * We were provided with only one set of towels, which felt inadequate for two guests. Front Desk Issues The front desk service was equally underwhelming. * During both check-in and check-out, Chris (not the Jane Q Chris) failed to smile or show basic courtesy. My boyfriend wished him a good day twice, but he barely mumbled a response. This left us feeling like an afterthought rather than valued guests. * We also had an issue with the thermostat in our room. We called the front desk for assistance but got no answer. My boyfriend eventually went down in person to ask for help, but no one ever came up to resolve the issue. This lack of follow-through was incredibly frustrating. Overall The valet staff and the amazing team at Jane Q restaurant worked hard to provide excellent service, and they deserve recognition. Unfortunately, the poor room quality and unprofessional front desk service overshadowed these positives. For a Kimpton property, the lack of attention to detail and customer care is unacceptable. With so many great hotels in the area, we're not sure we'd choose to stay here again. While certain aspects of our visit stood out, the negatives outweighed the positives. read more

I've been trying to contact this hotel for the past week in behalf of my friend who lost her phone & wallet while we were there for a Halloween party. The customer service rep Chris, connected me to the head of house keeping (who has not answered the phone once in the past week.) I call right back to maybe see if he can help me, only to be talked to like this is just an inconvenience to him.... He's wondering why my friend isn't calling herself... uhhh... her phone was lost at this hotel which is why she cannot use it. I thought that was obvious. I begin to tell him it's a black android and he doesn't even begin to let me describe what's in the wallet as he just interrupts me rudely to say it's not a good enough description. Just a decent human being willing to help me would've been nice, but I get this robotic sounding jerk. read more

We were having a music performance at the Greek Theater and reserved a room at the Everly Hotel. It was our first stay there. Upon entering the lobby, we were greeted by Anthony, who was very hospitable, welcoming, friendly, and let us know about things going on in the hotel. Shortly thereafter, we went to restaurant Jane Q, where Omar was our waiter. Omar was super friendly, big smile, and delivered excellent customer service. The grinder was probably one of the best sandwiches I had in a long time. The Bordeaux blend wine was delicous! Besides the wonderful staff, the hotel room was luxurious, in an understated, classy, elegant way, high end linens, a refrigerator, a beautiful bathroom, and our room was situated on the 5th floor, where you have an amazing view of Los Angeles, a fantastic pool, and lounge area. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in L.A.! Highly recommended. read more
