We contacted Lomeli's after we saw their great reviews and they did not disappoint. Response time was quick and we met within a few days to discuss the work we were needing. The project included changing out rocks and bark chips, adding new stepping stones, removing and adding plants, light tree trimming and adding a small turf potty area for our pets. A reasonable itemized estimate was received in writing the next day via email. After agreeing to move forward, the foreman and crew member came the following week to get started and completed the work in four days. We had hoped they would finish in two days as promised but they had a crew member call out. Besides that, everything went according to plan and we are very happy with the results. The project manager checked in frequently to give us updates and answer any questions, something we really appreciate when working with any business. We worked with Ryan and the crew late last year to redo the front yard landscaping. We wanted to use less water and have an easy to maintain design. Ryan helped us make practical adjustments to the design from our sketches. Throughout the whole process, they were helpful, professional and hardworking. We definitely felt nickeled and dimed by them. In hindsight, we would not have picked this company. When we initially started working with them, we told them we wanted to keep our budget below 20K. We worked with their design team and they came up with a quote of $19,210 and we gladly paid the deposit. Then afterwards they told us that they made a mistake on the quote and it would actually be $23,380 because they put the wrong price on the kurapia ground cover that we wanted (more on that later). We agreed to the price increase and eventually they started working on the backyard. We then got a call that they made yet another mistake on the quote and it would be $300 more for the concrete. So in total we paid about $4,470 more than we anticipated. When all was said and done the yard did look nice although all of the plants were very very small and they did not bring enough kurapia sod and so there was a small patch of the yard without it. They told us that they would come back in a couple weeks with more kurapia to fill in the spot, but never did. The kurapia did terribly! It dried out and died pretty quickly. This was something that was sold to us as being very low maintenance, drought resistant, no mow and perfect for our area. While talking with another landscaper recently, they remarked that they don't understand why kurapia is marketed so heavily considering it is so expensive and very difficult to take care of. If we had known that, we would have just gone with regular grass (which we are doing now with a different landscaper as Lomeli wanted to charge us $3,300 to come back and fix it). Recently, we were going to use Lomeli again because we they already knew the plan for our yard. We became concerned after comparing notes with friends and other landscapers we interviewed. Our new landscaper also remarked on a number of things Lomeli did poorly such as the weed barrier, the amount of bark put in over the top of the barrier and the placement of one of the drains. All in all, we are disappointed with Lomeli's work and the way that we had to keep paying for their mistakes. We definitely do not recommend them. read more

I recently had Lomeli's Landscape take my new backyard from bare dirt to a beautiful finish and the process was as easy and timely as one could ever hope for. The project was extensive and the work included concrete walkways, curbs along the entire length of the back and side yard, a sizable patio, placement of pavers, moving a lengthy existing fence several feet, drip lines throughout the planted areas, rock, bark and the planting of multiple trees and shrubs. My husband and I have used Lomeli's Landscape two different times. Both times, his team did a fabulous job! The first time, we had them landscape our front yard. We have a huge heritage oak tree in the middle of our front yard and there was a lot of overgrown bushes. The team tore everything out, leveled the yard, planted new plants around the perimeter, added drip to the plants, laid down river rock and bark and installed low voltage landscape lights. The yard looked great! We got lots of compliments from our neighbors. The second time was more recently. We decided we wanted to add a few more plants and more landscape lights in our front yard, as well as plant a tree on the side. We also wanted to redo our side yard by clearing out all the old plants and planting several photinia trees, adjusting the drip system and adding more rock. In addition, we had them lay down a foundation for a couple of sheds that we purchased. Once again, the team did a fantastic job and it looks so much better now!
