Lavish Gardens designed and installed our landscaping from scratch, and overall we've been really happy with how everything turned out. The project moved quickly, and the space already looks great. A few of the trees didn't make it through the summer, but they followed through and replaced them in the spring like they said they would, which we really appreciated. A bit of a scam. One referral from MC was from 7 years ago? Other two were from 1-2 years back? That should have been a red flag for us. But the design was good (the primary reason we picked them). However, we were told 'not to talk' to Eran after signing contract?? Only deal with foreman? The men work for the foreman, not MC who basically only provides pricing and takes a big cut. Modifications are added cost without subtracting the previous material that was already calculated. Our neighbor also asked to remove some 'dead plants' but was told 'lavish garden is going bankrupt' ?? Overall, a disappointing experience. There are 'lots' of other great contractors that will provide better pricing and experience. Don't be deceived by the demeanor. read more

Lavish Gardens Landscape gave us the backyard that we have been waiting for for almost 20 years. From meeting with Robert the designer to having the work done by Shane and his crew I knew we were in good hands. I love the model that they use, the crew is not spread out over a number of different projects at one time. They come in and do the project to completion and then move onto the next one. I love this because it makes less of a chance to get materials and needs confused with multiple ones running at once with the same crew. Robert worked with us on a design from the start. We had a rough sketch of what he wanted and a basic idea of how we wanted it to look and he made it into a blue print that was exactly what we wanted and how we saw it in our mind. He had a couple of edits and a complete revamp at one point and he was flexible with us and willing to work with the budget that we had. He was open and honest with us and that speaks volumes to us. We did end up upping our budget on this project but it was money well spent. If you are lucky enough to have Shane the supervisor for your project and Josh is with him you will be assured you will get the best that they can do. Shane always welcomed me to come out and see what was happening and learn about what was going in and how to maintain and fix things if needed. Shane is always making sure that the work being done is done to what the client wants and willing to make changes if needed. Our waterfall was the main obstacle in our project and that was Shane's baby. He worked on this so hard and put so much thought into it, we knew he cared for us not only as clients but as people as well. Josh knowns his craft and knows how to do it well. He always checked in from the wall to the sod to the sprinklers, he always made sure it was done as the client would want it. We had a large side yard with garden beds and fruit trees that had gotten out of control with weeds and overwhelming. We wanted to save the trees, replace the garden beds with professionally installed taller country manor stone ones, and have low-maintenance ground cover to replace the problem areas. Dan with Lavish Gardens was prompt to schedule a visit and provide an estimate. And very responsive for answering questions and providing revisions. We decided not to move forward with this company based on their outrageous over priced estimate, coupled with the facts they claim they are way too busy. Getting on schedule appears to be too far out on the calendar. The guy who provided us the quote was nice and responsive but the numbers did NOT add up. Do your homework people before going with any landscape company or anyone who intends to do work at your home. After being pushed out more than once, our job was supposed to start 4/20 and last 1 week. It's 6/15, and it's not complete. In 2 months, they managed to: - forget to turn sprinklers back on for over a week and kill part of my lawn - transplant dead plants from front to back because they left them unplanted for 9 days while they worked on other jobs and then tell me they warned me against transplanting - flood the backyard because they forgot to attach wires to sprinkler system and turn off manual shut off - stain the fence due to the above - set timer to go off on multiple zones at the same time which causes all zones to have to run full cycle turning all zones except lawn to turn swampy under the rocks - use the wrong rocks in my backyard Every single employee apologized profusely and mentioned the office has everyone overbooked and overworked. They were pulled off for jobs in Lincoln and Cool and other various ones where they had to fix mistakes. R-U-N. I've spent close to $400K on upgrades at this house (pool, kitchen, landscaping, and internal jobs - with about 20 different contractors), and this by far was like burning $20K. Waste of time, money, and stress when I could have had a landscaper do it for half the money and time. read more

NOT RECOMMENDED. We were truly disappointed in the company. They were very pricey and we should have had the experience they talk about on their website. Our yard was a mess for MONTHS. They kept saying it was a 7 day job. We got bumped every day so they could do other jobs. They did not kill the grass and it pretty much ALL came back. We were shocked that Michael the owner really did not care. Did not call us back or respond to our emails. Also, had a hard time getting our receipts to take full advantage of the City's rebate. We were not able to afford the entire yard, but finished the first phase this past summer. Lavish Gardens was able to accommodate many unforeseen items throughout the process. My wife and I could not have expected better service under our circumstances. The work was not cheap, but the materials and labor that went into the project make me wonder how the company earns a profit on the work. I've waited an entire year to post this review but felt like it was finally time to share my experience with lavish gardens. Our start date was supposed to be mid April 2021 and it didn't start until mid May 2021. I was annoyed but moved past it because of all the labor shortages at that time. The other issue I had was that while the crew was amazing ,they were split between multiple job sites which essentially turned the quoted 4-6 week time line into 3 months. Again, I realize last summer was nuts with folks doing home improvement projects but for me the biggest issue was the communication. I constantly had to follow up with my projector manager to get updated timelines and ensure that the project was moving along. At the end of the day, and as mentioned a year later, I'm really happy with how everything turned out. We constantly get compliments on how nice the yard turned out, and all the work they did was done right. I even had an issue a few months after they finished, and they came back to fix the problem right away. Hopefully they have hired more crew members and have sorted out the challenges they faced last year. I also want to give a shout-out to their front office staff. They were always so kind and understanding every time I called with an issue I was facing. If you want good quality work I'd recommend lavish gardens even if the timeline didn't go exactly as planned read more

Mike has built an excellent team, both in the office and in the field. The on-site team leader was helpful in every respect if a change was requested and the team always delivered on time ! Mike also provided a helpful brochure to the neighbors and there were no complaints - even during demo process - which was a great blessing. I highly recommend Lavish Gardens to cover any of your landscaping needs. I had prepared a design for our small ~400 square foot patio that included new concrete, three small trees, several accent plants, and an expanded fence and pathway down the side of our home. I was pretty overwhelmed in the initial phases of receiving multiple estimates until I met with Michael and felt that he genuinely cared about my project and that I could trust his team. Michael, Ivan, and his team were highly professional and flexible throughout the whole process. Michael was great to work with to bring the design to life and provided many helpful tips and suggestions while maintaining our original vision and keeping the cost within our budget. Ivan was also one of the best supervisors that I have worked with. He was flexible with any design changes during the job, paid close attention to all the intricate details, and worked hard to get the job done within their estimated time frame. The team made sure to clean after themselves after every day, leaving the work site safe and organized and the street cleaned up of any work materials that were used that day. I also had to leave town during the construction for and they were fine with putting things on hold until I returned, yet informed me that they could continue the work if I preferred. Michael and Ivan were great at answering any questions that I had to maintain the plants after the job completion. The project was completed ahead of schedule and the final product was everything that I imagined and more. My wife and I are so excited to be able to enjoy our new backyard and the amount of additional space and privacy we got out of expanding the fence is amazing. I am truly disappointed in the landscaping that I paid Lavish Gardens a substantial amount of money to put in over a year ago. My yard is a mess that I am going to have to pay another landscaper to remove and redo. The problem is that Lavish Gardens did not take the time to kill my Bermuda grass correctly and it has been a problem ever since. Steve the foreman said all I would have to do is spray Roundup on any grass that came up but that never going to be enough. After spending hours of time pulling weeds (Bermuda grass) and gallons of Roundup, I decided to call in another landscaper. I found out that the Bermuda grass was not killed properly to begin with and that all my existing plants had to be pulled up because the Bermuda grass had infiltrated their roots. So bottom line, my front yard including all the bark and the dry rock creek had to be removed to get to the Bermuda grass that should have been killed off properly before any new plants were ever put in. The correct way is to spray it and then water it for a month to see what comes back and spray again. Lavish Gardens was obviously in a rush and didn't want to do it properly. It's not that they didn't have the time. I got a bid from Michael in August and it was December before any work was even started. There was always an excuse, including a month wait because his hard drive crashed. This delay prevented me from getting the plants I was supposed to get because there weren't available in December. For the most part, his work crew was nice but I recently found that they buried my main water shut off valve to the house under 6 inches of soil. Not very professional and luckily it didn't need to be shut off during an emergency. Also I was not able to get complete receipts to take full advantage of my City's rebate program even though I told Michael at the beginning I needed detailed receipts for a rebate. What is ironic is that Michael never once came out after the work was done to check on things but begged me months later to give him a good review on Yelp because he had just received 3 negative ones. I didn't give a review at the time because I was not happy with the Bermuda grass I was constantly having the deal with. I recently called in another professional and realized that I was going to have to pull up all the plants in order to kill the Bermuda grass properly This professional did my neighbor's yard shortly before I had mine done and she has had no problems with weeds or grass at all. I asked Michael for a small refund on what it was going to cost me to remove and replace all my landscaping and he didn't have the decency to even respond to my request. The cost I'm paying for the removal and replacement of all the plants, bark and rock is just a fraction of what I originally paid Lavish Gardens. So now I will find the time to give a Yelp review so any potential clients can think twice about going with Lavish Gardens. Lavish Gardens started my landscape, hardscape, and lighting in mid-March of 2016. Although like-able people, once I signed the contract, the designer and project manager immediately began pressuring me for the installment payments prior to their completion. Unfortunately, they didn't provide my yard with the same degree of attention. The project manager was seldom on-site. As such, there were mistakes and oversights made with my project. Some issues could not be remedied unless I demanded the removal of newly installed hardscaping, which I did not do. They failed to follow specific instructions I'd given in their project agreement regarding storage of materials. The crew did not respect my home and not only didn't clean up before leaving each day, they left quite a bit of trash in my yard and even entered my home (while I was away) without my permission. The reason I know the project manager wasn't on site is because he stopped by once and was upset at his crew's mess. He had someone out the next day to clean things up. Within a couple of weeks of project sign-off and completion, weeds and plants started popping up in the landscaping. The project manager said it was because I hadn't hired a gardener. The problem was - and still is since they have yet to come out as I've twice requested - they did not apply commercial-grade round up nor pre-emergent, did not remove existing sod and soil, and did not bring in new soil, as detailed in my contract. I know all of this because the plants coming up are those that had been planted there at the time of the project. I have so many dead plants, many of which died within the first month. The project manager said to keep watering them because they may come back. As I mentioned, I've tried to work with the project manager, and am repeatedly brushed off or ignored. I even shared this information and pictures with Lavish Gardens' owner in his post-project satisfaction survey. To date, I haven't heard anything from the owner. A neighbor is an executive with a large high-end condominium construction company. He assures me that I'm not being unreasonable nor are my expectations too high. The project manager told my neighbor and me that the after-care is where Lavish Gardens earns their reputation. If their reputation was based on the after-care they've given me, they'd quickly be out of business. The hardscaping is nice and the design was attractive. However, I cannot recommend this company and sincerely and most deeply regret paying them $47,000 for this project. read more

I had someone from the company come out to give an estimate. The woman who arrived was very nice, though she seemed a tad unorganized. We chatted about the project, which was just 390 sq ft of artificial turf. she said the company would email me an estimate by the end of the week, it was Tuesday so I was surprised an estimate would take that long. I was also slightly concerned because I had already had two other companies out to give me an estimate, and both of them mentioned concern about drainage. The woman from lavish gardens did not mention any drainage issues at all, almost like she did not think or know that there might be an issue. So it did not give me a lot of confidence that she knew much about actual landscaping. We had some drainage and landscape problems and Lavish landscapes did a great job solving our issues. We no longer have water from rain storms going through our garage. They did a beautiful job putting in a new driveway and small front patio area with a waterfall. They also did a dry creek bed in the front yard that looks very nice. The workers were very nice, helpful and willing to make changes as the process progressed. They were always checking to see if what they were doing was pleasing to my expectations. Great team effort on their part. They always cleaned up the areas in process every night. We had just built a pool and needed to put in landscape all around the pool and down one side of our house. It was a pretty big project and we got four bids from local landscape companies before we made our decision to hire Lavish Gardens Landscape. The main reason we hired Mike's company was because he was very detailed in his estimate and was knowledgeable about irrigation and plants. The crew was hard-working and accommodating. Supervision of the crew was hit and miss, but Mike was always available to consult. As with any large project, things come up and adjustments have to be made, but Mike was very fair in the negotiation process for adjustment pricing.
