Everything is great for cleanings. Dr. McRae suggested I get a crown and I went with his advice. Day of the procedure I have a dentist I've never met come in to work on me. It was hands down the worst dental experience I've had. I told her I require more numbing juice than most and she wouldn't give me any more after I was saying I was in pain. I alerted the assistant that I was in pain and the dentist kept going. The temporary crown fell off two days after it was put on and the permanent doesn't fit my night guard that I wear. Ever since this procedure that side of my mouth has been painful to chew on. Makes me wonder if I actually needed the procedure or if they needed the money, it wasnt cheap. I have not been to the dentist since and I am normally a habitual visitor for cleanings. I will be going somewhere else. read more

Dr. McRae has been my dentist for 20 years and has always done excellent work. However, his incredible skill set came out on behalf of my son. Dr. McRae and his office manager Deborah turned out to be an amazing team to help my family through a terrible mouth trauma. In July 2017, my 17 year old son took a hard hit baseball to his mouth while playing first base. It knocked in two teeth, fractured his jaw and ruined the line of his teeth. He had naturally straight teeth, had never had so much as one cavity filled. He had only seen a pediatric dentist until that day. The accident happened at 3pm on a Friday afternoon in Twin Falls and an emergency dentist did his best to set the jaw. At 10:30pm on a Friday night, I couldn't sleep and decided to call Dr. mcRae's office call service. Dr. McRae called me within 10 minutes and agreed to see us the next morning. In his lawn mowing clothes, he pulled out his camera and began to educate us, document my son's injuries and build a treatment plan and claim. We saw the office nurse practitioner Monday and were hooked up with a wonderful endodontist in the coming weeks. Deborah helped that office navigate billing medical insurance for work related to this trauma. She submitted claims to medical and dental insurance. It was a five month process spanning two calendar years (late July to mid January) requiring painstaking detail and documentation to support the case to give my son his smile back. 20 months out from the accident, my son has a beautiful, confident smile. We just found out that more than 80% of the cost of his reconstruction was covered thanks to Dr.McRae and Deborah's skill and hard work. My family has recently switched over from our dentist to have our dental needs met by the McRae dental team because we had heard they are all amazing. And they are! We have been seeing this dental office for the last couple of months and each time we have gone and I have been so impressed. Impressed on so many different levels! The office itself is stunning and the interior decorating looks like it should be in a magazine. You've never seen a dental office look as stunning and fancy and well-kept like this office is. I love that all of the receptionists have been so friendly and so kind. I love that the assistance are totally on top of their game and they work hard at what they do. Now Dr. McRae, well, once you've gone in for one visit you feel like you've made a true friend for life. He genuinely cares so much about each patient that sits down in his chair. He is so fun to talk to and so thorough in his work and takes so much pride in what he does. I love that he has such a huge passion for humanitarian work and he often has specials and deals that come up in his dental work that go towards profiting children and countries in need. Dr. McRae is a dentist Who listens to you. He has been patient with some dental phobias that some family members of mine deal with and has been so sincere in making dental experiences positive ones. If you want to look forward to having dental work done and feel like you've made instant friends and feel heard and cared for in a ten star way, it's time to ditch your old dentist and make the switch like I did. Dr. McRae and his staff are the perfect blend of professional and friendly - Professional in that the work they do is top notch, done with obvious expertise and skill; friendly in that it's one of the few places left that practices hospitality along with their actual business. Really nice facility with an outstanding staff. Top notch service from when you walk through the door clear till the end of your procedures. Squeezed me in when I was having a really bad tooth pain and now have me on track to clean up my oral hygiene and are working with my schedule perfectly. Offering late night appointments as late as 6 to not affect my work time. Won't go anywhere else and will always trust this group with my dental needs from here on out. Last on the list was getting my 4 wisdom teeth removed! All though I don't remember it. I bet they were still friendly as can be while I was completely out of it. read more

Our entire family loves McRae dental! From the moment you walk in, it just feels good! The office is bright, beautiful and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! The waiting room is always stocked with a plethora of yummy snacks and drinks, my kids actually love going to the dentist! You'll find it is a laid back, fun atmosphere. Dr. McRae is great with little kids, tweens and grumpy adults. He is honest, like able and is a skilled and proficient dentist who isn't going to suggest procedures you don't need. They have surpassed EVER hope I ever had for a dental office. I have FINALLY found a place that has all the technology to make my visit comfortable. I had always assumed I could trust my dentist but personal experience has taught me that many dentist aren't concerned with doing what is best for the patient. Unfortunately I have had a Terrible experience with McRae dental. Dr McRae is absolutely wonderful but when it comes to his medical & billing assistant, I would make sure you check everything she does. She is completely incompetent & it has now costed me almost 3k because she does not know how to do her job correctly. I have had a billing case open for years, patiently waiting to have my 1,500 refunded back to me but instead I get hit with a bill of 1,300. We were talked into a much more expensive treatment under the impression insurance would cover it. read more

Long story short -- every time I needed any sort of dental cleaning, work done, or guidance, my experience has been superb! Avoid at all costs..it cost me $30000 to correct the terrible job he did placing implants and crowns in my mouth, which were so poorly done they killed adjacent teeth..all implants require surgical removal and bone grafts and new crowns..he also changed his mind about sharing in our cost for fixing his mistakes, and proved he is not only a poor dentist but an unethical person. The dentists who reviewed his work were shocked at how inept he is. read more

Do NOT bring your children here. I took my daughter, who was 3 at the time, this summer to him for her very first appointment. We were referred by a family member who has seen him for 13 years. She can be shy when meeting strangers, but was opening up to the nice hygienist. However, when Dr. McRae came in she was scared of him and didn't want to talk to look at him. He tried for one minute to get her to warm up to him and gave up very quickly. He began scolding my wife and I and said he could tell by her body language that we had let her establish dominance and she was the boss. He said we would make another appointment and if it didn't work that time that she would have to get strapped down, because we had let her be in charge. He left and my daughter opened up to the hygienist again and did better with her. Our daughter is now 4 and we today we took her to Jarvis Dental. Everyone was nice and my daughter had no problem letting them look in her mouth, take X-rays, touch her teeth, and use all their tools. It was NOT our parenting or daughter that was the problem. It was the rude, aggressive impatience of Dr. McRae. read more

Dentists have always been a sore spot for me. I had some bad childhood experiences regarding one, and those memories tend to not leave you. :/ I found Dr. McRae a few years ago, and am SO thankful that I did! :) :) He has truly taken care of me and my family, in such a way that i've never experienced before!!!! He is kind and very honoring with all of my concerns and requests, even if they seem to be not very "mainstream". I feel so comfortable that when I go in there, he will actually "listen" to me and not just push me through as "another dollar another day." His office has made going to the dentist fun for my kids! Which is a word that I would never have used to describe walking into a dental office before. ;) That is so important to me, considering I DO NOT want them growing up with the experiences that I had, and hating to take care of their teeth. Most importantly, being somebody that is passionate about taking care of our bodies the best natural way that we can, I feel that he addresses ways to remove toxins and bacteria in our mouths, in a safe manner!! That was something I had been searching for repeatedly in the Treasure Valley. Not to say no one else is out there, but it definitely seems few and far between. My husband and I cannot value any more than what we do, what we have established as far as a great dentist goes!!! You most certainly will not regret trying Dr. McRae and his amazing staff out today.
