The Good, The Bad, and The Unexpected... there's a LOT to say…read more First and foremost, Adam Friedman is hands-down the best chiropractor I've ever been to. He is empathetic, emotionally intelligent, incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and most importantly, he explains things in a way that actually makes sense. And that matters because I came in deeply SKEPTICAL. I moved here from Alaska, where black ice is very real, and after being involved in far too many car accidents over the years, I've seen chiropractors on and off since I was eight years old. Unfortunately, many of those experiences felt transactional. They would upsell endless treatment plans, do the same 3 generic adjustments, never take x-rays, and send me out the door. Typically, I would wait until my pain became unbearable and then ask a friend for a recommendation to "their guy," usually someone who didn't take insurance and charged a quick cash copay. ALWAYS, telling me I needed weekly visits. This time was different. I had a nasty fall crossing US-1 and slammed into a curb. The pain was severe, and I could barely walk afterward. Financially, I'm not in a place where I can casually pay out-of-pocket for treatment, but I do have solid insurance and an FSA account. So instead of asking friends, for referals, I went through Zocdoc to find someone in-network. That's how I found Dr. Friedman. The Rocky Start I'll be honest. My first impression was ROUGH! Zocdoc sent what felt like a million emails and text messages, and then I started getting calls and texts from the office. I submitted my insurance information multiple times and was asked to place a $50 deposit to hold my appointment. I was irritated! Then during my first appointment, Dr. Friedman did an assessment but did not perform an adjustment. He sent me for X-rays instead. I left feeling frustrated and wondering if I had just paid for a meet-and-greet. I paid $50 to meet a Doctor But because I was genuinely in pain, I returned. Thank God I did. The Redemption Arc -At my follow-up appointment, Dr. Friedman completely changed my perspective. He sat down with me, reviewed my X-rays in detail, and explained everything in language I could actually understand. He used visuals and walked me through what was happening in my body. My neck has lost its natural curve. My lower back is overcompensating. Apparently, my spine and I are both a little backwards. Then came the reality check I wasn't emotionally prepared for. At 50 years old, I learned I have multiple bone spurs, compression fractures, and degenerative spinal issues that have likely been building for years due to injury, stress, and wear and tear. Suddenly, years of chronic neck pain and lower back pain made sense. I sat there in complete shock, fighting back tears and asking myself why I hadn't addressed this sooner. Why I Trust Him -When Dr. Friedman recommended treatment multiple times a week, I initially pushed back because my insurance only covers 20 visits annually. Instead of pressuring me, he explained why aggressive early treatment mattered and how it could potentially help me avoid surgery or long-term pain management. That conversation felt honest, not sales-driven. That distinction matters. For the first time, I felt like I was talking to a chiropractor focused on actual correction instead of temporary symptom relief. The Office Experience The front desk staff is warm, efficient, and welcoming. They work incredibly well together and make the office feel friendly and inclusive. As someone who works in healthcare leadership, mental health, and DEI training, and as someone who is very aware of how environments feel, I notice everything. This office feels warm, diverse, and affirming. Dr. Friedman's Style He's clearly part of a new generation of chiropractors. He doesn't rely on cookie-cutter treatment. He uses imaging. He explains the science. He tailors care to what your body actually needs. And yes, he moves FAST. He's incredibly busy and highly efficient, moving between patients with serious precision. At first, his pace and intensity caught me off guard, and I misread his passion as frustration. That was my mistake. Once I got to know his communication style, I realized he simply cares deeply and works at an incredibly fast pace. Final Thoughts Is the office perfect? No. The onboarding process could absolutely feel less overwhelming. But the actual medical care? Exceptional. Dr. Friedman gave me answers I've been searching for for decades. He helped me understand what was happening in my body and created a plan that feels proactive instead of reactive. For someone who walked in skeptical and frustrated, I'm now incredibly grateful I found him. Honestly, I'm mostly mad at myself for not using my insurance benefits to find someone like him years ago. If you want a chiropractor who is thorough, modern, intelligent, and genuinely invested in helping you heal, Dr. Friedman is worth seeing.

He always suggest treatment that is on the more conservative side, meaning you'll only be recommended the treatment you actually need.
