I've had this company do a number of appliance repairs at my rental unit. They have never once been on time ("on time" being at least a 4 hour appointment window). They don't call. They schedule all day appointments, then no-show and no-call. They were supposed to install a control board in my 2 year old washing machine this afternoon (purchased from Appliance Outlet, of course), that has been non-functional for three weeks now. "Between 1 and 5", they said. When I hadn't heard from anybody all afternoon, I called them to make certain someone was coming, which they reassured me someone was. So I waited. And waited. Nobody showed up. Nobody called. I didn't hire them, and wouldn't, but the property manager seems to like using them. I have now told her not to send them over again. It would probably have cost me less to hire someone reliable myself to fix the machine than the value of the time I've lost sitting around waiting for chronic lates and no-shows. Don't hire these people for your repairs. Don't buy anything from them. They're patently unreliable. Note: Yelp for some ridiculous reason places my location in California in spite of my attempts to correct it. I'm in Edmonton.

When the stove came, the coils had a safety feature that do not allow the maximum temperature to stay consistent. There is a sensor that drops the temperature down once a maximum temperature is reached. This makes cooking extremely ineffective as a consistent temperature is not maintained and it takes much longer to do anything. I contacted Coast Appliances and was told that I could not return or exchange this brand new stove because it was a special order as it was ordered online (I did not note a "special order" anywhere online when I ordered) - moreover, they said that my only option was to purchase a new stove as all the coils from 2018 onwards are produced like this. They basically said that the sensi temp coils were mentioned on the website (I went back under features and checked and it did not state this), and also that I had plugged the stove in to test it, nothing further could be done. I will not recommend to anyone and please avoid the hassel of online purchases for appliances so you don't find yourself in the same boat!

Despite it being brand new, it displayed an E20 error the very first time we ran a cycle. We reported the issue to Trail Appliances immediately, expecting it to be a minor fix or, at the very least, acknowledged properly. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. What followed was a drawn-out, exhausting back-and-forth with Trail. Their response has been slow, unhelpful, and frankly, dismissive. They eventually told us they've ordered parts to fix the machine, but the reality is--the error has worsened. It now happens every 10 minutes, completely disrupting our ability to do something as basic as wash dishes. As a family with a busy home life, this has caused us an incredible amount of stress. The dishwasher is supposed to add convenience, not become a daily source of pain. We've even begun to doubt whether the unit was new to begin with, as it has never worked properly from day one. What's most disappointing is not just the appliance itself, but the complete lack of urgency or empathy from Trail Appliances. When you spend your hard-earned money on something that's supposed to make life easier, and it fails you repeatedly--with no meaningful resolution--it's incredibly disheartening. Well I now have a new project to do.. like I have nothing better to do. Ok.. so I dismantled the pipes and looked online to see how to do this repair myself. Now that I had a list of things needed, off I went. First stop ... RONA which is very close to my place . Walked in there- found the piping ( I think ) so I asked a sales rep .. he points to where I was and says .. everything you need is all there and walks away . ( Well that was informative ! ). Second stop... Lowes. Not a rep in sight.. I find the items but there was something missing.. eventually a rep shows up so I ask about what I need- I got recommended a good plumber ( well if that is not a great answer .. thanks scoop ! ). Put everything back and walked away. Seeing as I was doing other errands as well, I go into this Home Depot. Not only were there two reps in the aisle I needed to go.. but they actually helped me with everything I needed. These two guys spent the time and told me exactly what I needed, how to do it and gave me the things I needed to do this . Total cost $20. Time spent: 30 minutes. So here is my advice... Any home repairs or renovations you need to do.. go here ! Forget the other guys who were disappointingly useless !
