Spacious restaurant was mostly empty when I went in. The extensive menu is overwhelming and not very helpful in finding the right thing to eat. The food itself is pretty good but expensive for the small portions. The waitstaff were inattentive and distracted despite the restaurant having a total of four customers. The waitstaff were more interested in eating there own dinner than serving their guests. The waitstaff were inflexible when it came to modifying dishes for specifc requests. In addion, they stressed the 15 pound per person minimum which seemed exessive. Overall, not a welcoming or friendly experience detracts from whst would otherwise be a decent dining experience. read more

Good authentic Chinese restaurant not far from the airport and the airport hotels. Our group walked over from the Hyatt and it wasn't a far walk. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. We were there for an early dinner and it started to fill up once we left. The large tables had the lazy Susie's so if you wanted to order a bunch of different plates to share, you could have. The food came out quick and our orders weren't mixed up which is always good since we had a large group. I had the duck and some dim sum and both were good. read more

This restaurant is located near Heathrow airport. There is free parking on the premises. The staff are friendly and speak English and Cantonese. Menu is mainly in Chinese with English translation. The food taste pretty authentic Hong Kong Cantonese style cooking. Portions are a little small and price s bit more expensive than Chinatown. But this is a pretty good deal if you are hankering for Chinese food out in the sticks. 12th June 2018. Dinner here tonight was still good and we think reasonably priced. Horrible service! We waited about 25-30 minutes before anyone came to our table. ( Many requests for service were dismissed. ) Deceiving business practices! Check you bill carefully! The final bill was written in Chinese without any price listed on it. We had to ask for a menu to check for each item's price. Has minimal charge of £10 per person, and 1£ per person for hot water that was not listed on the menu. 10% of Service charges was added automatically, even though there was no service to speak of. It's a good sign that "natives" come to eat at an ethnic restaurant. I'm always weary of trying cuisines that are readily available from home. I mean, coming from America, going to the UK, and eating at a Chinese Restaurant that's not even in Central London but by Heathrow (aka, Airport from Hell)... what should I expect right? The restaurant features Cantonese and Peking-style dishes. I ordered a bowl of chicken corn chowder and beef with ginger & spring onion. The soup was basically like an egg drop with chicken bits... it was pretty decent, but I've had better in Canada. The beef dish may sound like Mongolian beef to us Yanks, but it was more like sauteed in a brown sauce (oyster, I think)... but pretty darn tasty, though I should be eating with rice to cut the saltiness a little bit. If it's one thing about dining at a sit-down in the UK is that they are pretty attentive in general. I was seated quickly... it took two people to serve my single bowl of soup... my cup of jasmine tea was always full. I would not only come back here but would recommend it. I've been to Chinatown in Central London, and this place was better in my opinion, with a lot less crowds/tourists and relatively reasonable prices (£8 for my beef entree, £3.50 for soup, £15 total with tea/tax/tip). This is a good place that serves traditional dishes, and thus gets bad reviews. Don't let that scare you! Alongside their meat dishes, they offer an "original vegetarian" menu that includes dishes cooked without eggs or oyster sauce, so it's perfect for vegans and vegetarians! We had morning glory stir-fried with garlic, vegetarian ma-po tofu, and hot and sour soup. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicately flavored, including the ma-po tofu, which could have used more spice. Since this is not a Sichuan restaurant (and since the ma-po tofu was still delicious), I still think they deserve a lot of stars. It's a banquet-style place, so it's a little more expensive, but the service is really good. Give it a try--it's a good detox from all the pub grub you consumed during your trip to England! read more

Passed this place loads of times decided to stop in and have a mooch about. The place looked very nice, kinda out of place for the area and from what you see outside but none the less it was nice. The service was really good, was full but got seated straight away. To start we had Chicken Dumplings and Paper Wrapped Prawns, they were really nice and could have easily had more. For main the gf had Quart Duck and pancakes and Prawn Crispy Noodles, the duck was kind of dry (I Thought anyway) and the salad was on the stingy side compared to other places also the pancake holder made the last pancake stick to the base so that was one wasted. The noodles had that super noodle shape and taste to it, she didn't like it and nor did I. I went for the Duck in Ginger with a special fried rice, the duck was ok nothing special and the rice was your typical rice, again the portions were very small. Hurry Up and Buy!!!! First of all, the time listed for the closure of the restaurant was 2300hrs on their website and on the outside sign of the establishment. However, when we entered the restaurant, we were told they closed at 2200hrs. No problem, but we were rushed to order after being in the restaurant for five minutes and given much attitude. Then during the entire meal, we were still stared at the entire time by the waitress. Food was missing side sauces and when we asked for it, we were immediately greeted with attitude. We had a group of 8 people and were all drinking tea and water. Coming from the US, we are used to the waiter asking if we would like bottled or tap water. Here they only ask for still or sparkling. Upon receipt of the final bill, we were charged $30 for water! The disappointing part is that when we brought this to the attention of the manager, he did nothing to empathize with the situation. I had a nice dinner there on Friday night. I missed dim sum (the waiter said it is primarily for lunch and ends by 5 pm). I had paper wrapped shrimp which were very yummy and a little dim sum like. Then I had a lamb sizzling plate that was great. They brought out a plate of chilled fruit to wrap things up. In the area regularly for work, and craving something different. We saw the 3-star rating and thought "well, it can't be that bad can it?" Then we ate here, and immediately wondered if Yelp UK was a 1-100 star scale and not 1-5. This is far and away the worst Chinese meal I've ever had, and also the worst meal we've had around Heathrow. By far. This place is *terrible*. The service is bad, and the food is worse. At least it's expensive. We ordered (1) a "crispy beef" which was basically fried shoelaces and literally completely devoid of any actual beef, (2) sweet and sour chicken, where the sauce was true to its name but was made from about a cup of sugar and a litre of vinegar - I think my hands still smell like vinegar, and (3) a chicken noodle dish that consisted of noodles that somehow managed to be served in the nearly impossible combination of both crunchy and soggy, with a grayish-brownish chicken - the meat, not a sauce - that I'm convinced would make a street dog sick. The steamed rice was quite good though. The staff was unbelievably pushy, which just made the whole thing comical. Ordering took 3x as long as it should have because we continually had to fend of demands to order more and more food, drinks, vegetables, side dishes, etc. It was actually uncomfortable. read more

It's the first time I've ever seen the fella not polish off his beef in black bean sauce, though he won't say what was wrong with it. Food is not fresh and over priced Service is extremely slow and rude staff, they have more staff than customers but zero attention to what's the most customers. I have never ever had a restaurant charge me a service fee if 10% for dinning alone. I totally understand for parties of 10 or more but service fee 10% and also never ask them for sauce for your egg roll. Yes you guessed it the charge for that as well. Don't go there! It is completely rubbish! We ordered 5 dishes for five adult. The stirfry veg is fine. But the pork chop and others are tasted just average and very small portion. The worest is the chicken. We ordered half oprtion chicken but it turned out like a quarter or a half of baby chicken. We spoke to the manager and he is very bad and said, 'this is how we do business, you can leave if you do not like it.' He should have been removed. I visited the restauarant with a friend today(23rd Apr 2012). The staff started clearing the table before we had both finished both starters and with the maains, only a third of the staff can speak english so would point to their colleagues whenever we asked for something and due to this it took a good five minutes to explain what we wanted for dessert. Most importantly, we felt harassed as they kept walking by our table and staring at us and they asked if we were done with the bill 3 times. They included the service charge and we asked the manager to exclude it as we were not happy with the service. The manager told us to tell them from the start in future and walked off while I was mid-sentence. When I called him back as I hadnt finished talking and once I finished explaining that it was all the things put together which caused our dissatisfaction he asked if I was finished and if he could leave now. When a restauarnt is managed that way it has no chance. I work with senior clients in the Heathrow area and took my friend there to check the place out before bringing clients..
