Now, we have had a chimney fire and I requested that it be inspected. Michael gives me a quote for almost twice what I believe we paid for the original install which seems a bit outrageous to me. I emailed and asked what we could do to lower the cost such as not replace the old cap that was quoted $765 for or a sweep for $239 when the fire pretty much cleaned everything out. I didn't even get a response. I guess they have just gotten too big for their britches and aren't concerned about customer loyalty. I will no longer be able to recommend this company in good conscience and will be getting quotes elsewhere. I truly hope the owner reads this and makes an effort to ensure that he has reliable employees like he use to.

The invoice was sent two days later from an unfamiliar email address that did not identify the company or the technicians, which added to the confusion. Finally, the companies accounting department reached out, leaving multiple voicemails to address payment due. When I called to address the charge, I expressed my concerns about the lack of upfront communication. The accounting representative was polite and apologetic, and I do believe the company values customer service, however, there was a clear shortfall in transparency regarding pricing. Well, we bought the house to use the fireplace, so we got everything done, from crown to flu repair. Cameron came on time as scheduled, and not only got everything repaired, but it was finished faster than estimated. They even repointed our bricks as an extra. Cost was what we expected, so while we'd love the work for free, who wouldn't, this was worth it for a safe winter season.
