I was recommended this pediatricians office by the hospital where I gave birth so I had high hopes. As a new mom you put all of your faith in your pediatrician. Over the first three months of my daughters life I entrusted her care to Dr Peterson (and Dr Desena at times) and was failed in the worst way. I won't go into detail in the interest of privacy for my daughter but after repeatedly bringing up several issues I was constantly told that everything was fine, that all babies experienced these things and not to worry. After my baby stopped nursing I sought the advice of a lactation consultant that encouraged me to investigate further because something was clearly wrong. I finally switched doctors before my daughters 4 month appt and was immediately referred to two specialists for the problems. I am now in the throws of correcting these issues (now considered severe) through multiple appts every week for the foreseeable future that would have never been a problem if they were addressed two months ago when I brought them up. Please bring your children elsewhere, this practice caused my daughter harm and I don't want that for any other family out there. read more

I've been going here for almost 17 years, and I have had my limit tested today. Yesterday I went in for a eating medical problem and the female doctor told me to just change what I eat and there wouldn't be an issue anymore, so I did but recently I am having a bleeding problem in the bathroom and they told me to just stop eating certain things again, now I have to go to the ER cause it won't stop bleeding read more

I love Londonderry Pediatrics... We have been going to them for 6 years and have never had an issue. Other than normal hiccups in the medical field, Londonderry Peds always makes sure to fit us in and calls multiple times to check on the patient if we have to wait. The allow us to fill them in on everything and never cut us off. My kids adore all the staff there. It is really amazing to have such a great office for the kids. 3 reviews just now So disappointed to be writing this review because when I had my first child five years ago they were great. I want to start off by saying that I have had great care from Dr Desena and his nurse Katie. I had my son in August 2018 and I have had problems with Londonderry Pediatrics ever since. At one of my sons early appointments, The woman who takes care of billing, I believe her name is Karen, was waiting at the checkout for us to come out of our appointment and stated that she would not be able to make his next appointment because he was not on our insurance. My children's father is a nurse and we have great insurance, and my son was definitely on the insurance which we made clear but Karen was very rude and said that she had already checked that morning and he was not on it. We left and got as far as the parking lot before we called the insurance because we were confused by how that could be possible only to be told by our insurance company that my son had indeed been on the insurance since way before this appointment. With the insurance company on the phone we walked back into the office and had them speak to Karen from our cell phone at which point she finally believed us?? I just felt that this was an unfair Way to be treated, especially since it was her mistake. Another issue I have had is every single time I call when my kids are sick it takes hours to call me back. My five-year-old daughter had a mild allergic reaction a few months ago where her face was swelling and full body rash so I called the office and it took them five hours to return my call. I had already taken her into an emergency care office by that point obviously. This has been the case for a number of times when I have called with questions about my kids being sick. Right now I'm going on hour 4 of waiting for a return call about my son who I suspect has the flu. I just feel that that is pretty unacceptable and wonder if there is some type of prejudice against my family and I. Again, Dr Desena is great and my kids love him But unfortunately we will be finding a new doctor because the office staff at this Practice clearly does not care about their patients. read more

Dr. Gruchot is WONDERFUL. She always takes the time to talk to my husband and me and my children are so comfortable with her. I love the nurse practitioner Caroline as well! I haven't had many experiences with the other doctors there. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mathew Descena. My 3 girls love him. My oldest will be 8 this summer and I know the time is coming where she will be more comfortable with a woman. The two woman doctors here are AWFUL, I wont even do sick visits with them anymore. One woman tried to get to start my daughter on antibiotics so her toe wouldn't get infected. Not that it was and needed them but as a precaution? So many more things I can say UGH. When they come to Parkland where I deliver, I look the other way. However they hired a PA Caroline and she is wonderful. I thought we were going to need to look for a new office and now we don't. I also have seen the other male doctor (Peterson?) and he is great as well. read more

I just had a visit with Dr. petersen at londonderry pediatrics and he is a bum of a Doctor. We had 9 sleepless nights along with 3 x $20 copays not to mention a copay of $100 to the emergency room. We had to wait till my son's ear drum literally burst with an ear infection till he finally wrote an antibiotic. This is not medicine. This is a Doctor that has his own personal interest of following protocol to a T. He should have listened to my son and his complaints and the fact his temp. was 103.2 and was not subsiding. I do not recommend this doctor. However if you were to have Dr. Dessina he is wonderful and listens to what you have to say and is a fantastic doctor. read more

The front desk staff are rude and NOT professional, Jaded. Debbie is especially rude. Last time I brought my daughter to the office, they were discussing a patient and the child's parent in front of me. I was saddened that adults could be so cruel and thoughtless. There are one sweet young woman and a new employee who are not rude. The majority of the staff are begging for a law suit. The Doctors are pleasant to work with. read more
