The Shop was excellent. The pie we bought was absolutely fantastic. The apple picking was not as relaxing as I'd hoped. The tractor ride up to the orchard was fun (perilous if you don't like tractor rides). The part that was open to us was on an incline, it was more of workout than a leisurely stroll. BUGS. There were many many insects buzzing about. Don't know what the orchard could have done about this, so you can't really hold it against them. All in all stick to the shop, it is 5 stars. What a gem! I wish I had discovered this place earlier as I've been living down the road from them for the past 2 years and didn't notice this farm on google maps until I was googling some random places on a lazy Sunday afternoon. They offer a wide variety of fresh and pretty looking produce in addition to their homemade butters, jellies, and bakery goods. I ended up with 3 bulbs of garlic, a summer squash, zucchini, pint of blueberries, carrots, and a bundle of lettuce. All of that came out to only $10! Compared to the freshness and prices of produce to the local supermarket in the area, it's such a steal and I'm definitely coming here more often to get my produce! read more

For a complete city chick like myself, this was a real treat! They run a very efficient and affordable apple picking operation here. You get a fun little tractor ride up a hill into their orchard, which has quite a nice view on a clear day, by the way. They play "Old McDonald" and the like over a speaker for the ride. It's AWESOME. Great for the kid in you. Made a very tasty pie with BF from the apples we picked. The farm store is also very cool. They have some nice seasonal produce and homemade jams, cakes, pies, chocolates, etc. Even wine! If you try the ice cream, specifically the pumpkin, you'll thank me. And them for making it, of course. read more

Went there for some donuts that the sales woman at the counter said were very good. First, I was shocked by the price of $5.99 for six donuts, but felt sorry for the lady because there were no other customers there. Then we took the donuts to the car and my wife and I each took a bite from a donut and looked at each other and at the same time said, "These are terrible". They actually smelled and tasted like rancid old grease. I only took one bite and have had an upset stomach for the last hour and cant get the taste out of my mouth even after eating a chili dog when I got home . We left the donuts in the parking lot and will never go back, and cannot give a good recommendation. Very bad and disappointing experience. read more

Well first off if you try to walk up without the tractor you will be yelled at by the driver in a very belittleing way. Although he said there were signs "everywhere" I didn't see a single one. After my off putting trip up we were told only to pick apples from a certian section. The section we were allowed to pick only contained rotten apples. I literally didn't even eat any they looked so bad. Overall my experience from start to finish was dreadful and I didn't even leave with any apples. I will try to post some pictures of the sickly looking trees and the condition of the apples on them. read more

Went today for apple cider donuts, left with three bottles of wine, an essential oil mix and of course, those donuts. Very cute, authentic and situated on a hill with an amazing view. Be sure to go to the bathroom before hand unless you are ok with Portable toilets. read more

this place has gone downhill a lot over the last few years, it's like the owner's given up his hopes and dreams. maybe he just doesn't feel the need to put in as much effort now that his competition (fiato's) went out of business. this place used to be great, tons of flower baskets in the spring (enough to fill that whole greenhouse next to the market and then some!), along with herbs and tomato plants for you to take home and plant, but last spring as i drove by they didn't have anything in the big greenhouse, they just had a few carts out front with some flowers. as for summer produce, they do get some good local corn, but pay close attention to the signs. the lone maple logo is on every display card but that doesn't mean it's grown on site, they actually get deliveries from maines and other places. they tried to grow their own strawberries for a while too, i dunno if they still do that or not. and now for the fall. what happened to this place? during the fall it used to be a big event to go here, fall family fun they called it. there were games for kids, a petting zoo, they had a guy with a grill selling food, and of course the u-pick apples and pumpkins. they used to need to have a person stand out front to direct cars where to park and stop traffic so the tractor could cross the street, but now the parking lot never gets more than half full on the weekends. they used to have some of the best cider in the area too, but a while back they got rid of all their equipment and turned that room into their farm winery, so i wonder who makes their cider now. as for the bakery side of things, just look at the kitchen. it's not big at all, there's no way they are baking fresh pies and breads from scratch, they taste very similar to other pies i've had from the grocery store, so i suspect it all comes in frozen and they just reheat them on site. that said, they do still put out some good cookies and donuts, although they can be a tad pricey. i miss when they used to stay open past halloween too. a couple years they stayed open til thanksgiving and gave people the option to order fresh turkeys for their dinner. they also stayed open til x-mas for a couple years and sold trees, wreathes, and firewood but i guess they felt the need to give that up. all in all, this place doesn't live up to what it used to be, you're probably better off driving an extra 15 minutes up the road to visit Russell's for a nice fall afternoon. read more

This place is a real gem. They are a farm/greenhouse that sells their own produce and flowers, but there's so much more. 1) They are a winery. I haven't purchased a bottle yet, but bottles are quite reasonably priced so I probably will before long. 2) They sell homemade ice cream. 3) They sell chocolates (not sure if these are made on site, but I wouldn't be surprised). 4) They have a phenomenal selection (100s of items) of canned jellies/preserves/pasta sauces/barbecue sauces/hot sauces/salsas/pickled vegetables/relishes/etc. 5) They have a bakery with many varieties of pies, cookies, breads, strudels, etc. 6) On weekends they run a small lunch cafe (I haven't tried it yet, but I plan on going soon). Their produce is really great, much nicer than any non-organic choices in the local supermarkets. My husband and I shop here regularly and find the products in excellent shape. The beets are the most delicious we have ever tasted and I blanch and freeze many quarts for winter meals. Love the environment, friendly service, and the apple picking is lots of fun. They offer a great variety of goods and especially love their freshly made donuts. Glad to be able to shop local produce with great service, and good pricing. In fact, some of the naturally grown produce is the same price as Wegmans' had their normal produce priced, full of pesticides and chemicals. So, I think the deals are great!
