Seated ... asked what we would like to drink, we wanted a pre-dinner cocktail and a glass of water ... received our drinks ordered our dinner (prim rib) got our salad... when our dinner arrived we wanted another cocktail with our meal .... promptly told " you have wait 20min" ????? to my surprise I remember my mother telling me to wait 20mins before I went in the pool .... confused I asked why ??? ... no response from what I assumed was a waitress, she then got a manager and the 12yr old told us the same thing with no explanation...now mind you we didn't guzzle down 5 cocktails between being seated and our meal being delivered. I then went to the bar and ordered our dinner cocktail, the bartender asked me who the drinks were for ??? once again I'm thoroughly confused, I told her and she said she would bring them to our table, great ... thank you! .... now our meal is there, and the bartender shows up with our drinks ... but then proceeds to tell us we have to wait 20 mins ... OMG .... WHY!! ... well at this point in time it has been 20 MINS!!! ... Now we feel very humiliated, like being treated as children when were in our 60"s!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! NO EXPLANATION, and were dumbfounded!!! Dinner's over and now were ready to pay our bill... I'M so glad I checked our receipt, they charged us for 2 soups that the party next to us ordered!!! I was out here in Elko Nevada for work and I was pleased to see that there was a Gold Dust West Casino out here along with the Grille restaurant. I heard the food was pretty good here and a decent deal. I go in with one co worker whose driving me around Elko. It's not really too smokey in here, so that's a good thing, but it's not a crowded Saturday night either with all kinds of drinking and smoking at the slots going on. We get seated at a nice table and I go over the menu. They have a prime rib special here for $17.99 and it's available everyday from 11 am! Most of these casino restaurants that have prime rib, only have that on Fri and Sat after like 4 pm. I passed this time, but what I did see was the Chicken Fried Steak! It's supposed to be a 10 oz. beef patty, breaded and deep fried served with country gravy, hashbrowns and toast, and then even THREE eggs, for just $13, that's a deal. In the Bay Area where I was just working, they don't even serve Chicken Fried Steak ..... it's like truck driver food I guess. My friend had this Cali Omelet ... yeah it was sort of breakfast time for us. That was the more healthy option with veggies and no meat, just the opposite of what I ordered! The food came out in short time and look fab! I ordered my Chicken Fried Steak on a separate plat with gravy on the side, so I didn't get gravy all mushed up with my eggs and potatoes. Holy moly, that was a lot of food! Super tasty, I just ate half and took the rest to go, gave it to my friend since I flying back out soon and I don't think the airline would appreciate me bring Chicken fried steak on the plane to eat! The omelet looked better than I thought it was gonna for the price. Tons of avocado on top and fluffy hashbrowns! 5 stars for the food here! I didn't do any gambling ... I know better!

They had plenty of options for breakfast, which was nice. There was plenty of seating, which was also convenient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I also liked that there was plenty of parking. The bed and pillows were super comfy so we both slept really well. This hotel is dog friendly, which was nice since we had our dog with us.

Alyssa or Aliya (alternative girl with a septum piercing who works the night shift) was really hospital and nice. I had issues with my card when they tried to charge the $50 for incidentals and she called her manager to try and find me a solution and found me a couple and I was able to use two cards. The coffee station was simple but effective. I like that they have a big thing of sugar instead of the little packets. It's a small thing but it mattered.

We arrived early in the evening and the gal that checked us in was not super friendly and did not explain anything about our accommodations (Wi-Fi, Breakfast, etc.). We dropped our stuff & dog into our room and went to dinner. Later that night we got back and our tv remote would not work and we could only get Cinemax. And the bed was nothing but springs. My husband went downstairs to talk to the gal, and I went to get ice. The gal at the front desk said she could move us but did not have any pet rooms available. So, no help. Meanwhile the ice machine was broken and had a note that said to go to the restaurant to get ice. A server was counting at the register and asked me to wait, not an issue. However, that was the only thing she said and seemed put out when she took the ice bucket and brought it back. We went to bar and the bartender came off as rude. We decided that night that we would cancel our reservations for the next night and go somewhere else. In the morning, my husband talked to the Assistant General Manager - Steven W. and he went above and beyond. Our stay the following evening with my sister and her husband was delightful. We both had nice, remodeled rooms and the staff we encountered all seemed to be having a better day. I know the hospitality business can be brutal to work in, but great leadership always shows.
