This is an update from my January 13th review. Phil from customer service reached out asking for photos to clarify the condition of the skis. Once he received the pictures he had a better understanding of my complaint, was apologetic and very willing to have them returned. I asked if he had a replacement ski, and if so could they double check the tune and condition. I've now received them, they are in excellent condition with a very clean new tune; I am more than pleased. Now that things are resolved would I order from them again? Absolutely. I too owned a small business and never had things work out 100% no matter how hard I tried, but when one tries as hard as Phil has to make things right it had restored my faith that their service truly doesn't end at the sale. I've been by before and generally had a good experience. I decided to consign some items that were in great shape as I've lost some weight. Now in my experience consigning and selling back outerwear can be an interesting experience and one should set the bar low. But this was odd and seemed to reveal that the employees may have a bias that is an ugly underbelly of the outdoor rec business that needs to stop. The buyer was excited to see me initially and thought my items looked great. Except for the size. "Oh, these larger sizes don't really sell", she said initially. Then later she said (I'm paraphrasing): "yeah, people these sizes don't shop here. They're not our demographic." Wow, just wow. Fat shaming. The sizes were XL and XXL for brands (Mammut, etc.) that run small. Maybe she was having a bad day but there is an impression by some that the outdoor rec business is not welcome to folks of a certain "look". Some companies are addressing this concern. I'm not a big person by any means, but this hinted that the vibe here is that they cater to the cool kids and those who fit "their" view of who should ski and hike. Not good. Hopefully the owners see this as they advertise and hold themselves out as welcoming and hip. Maybe they should encourage their employees to be more "inclusive" I think is the phrase the cool kids use. I'm going to consider other of the many options for my outdoor gear. It's too bad because I want to like them. In terms of value, they're average at best but I prefer not being judged when I shop. read more

A gear repair treasure in the Salt Lake Valley. After going back and forth with Arcteryx and their warranty system, I cut my losses and went to Lone Pine to fix my ski pants. 20 minutes and $20 later, I was out the door with an excellent fix that got me back on the mountain. Will be coming here always from now on to keep my gear working and out of the landfill. read more

Edit: Leaving a two-star review from my visit 29 days ago because my experience didn't meet expectations. I waited for 10 minutes and requested assistance with some gear, but was told to wait again as the staff member was on the phone with an appointment. After the call, the staff member helped a customer who arrived after me. When I tried to ask for help again, I was told to wait once more, despite being there first. While I understand there can be delays, it felt disorganized, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. I waited for about 30-45 minutes. I've heard many good things from others, but this visit was disappointing, especially with the store being busy with appointments. read more

Greatest experience shopping for the full works: skis, boots, and bindings. I worked with the owner Ben who was so personal and was able to go above and beyond and cut me some deals to keep me under my goal budget. The staff here are so knowledgeable and helpful. I am very excited to go back for one of the community events they host. Such a unique place that not only sells equipment, but has a coffee shop, sells clothing, offers clothing repair, and is a consignment shop. Would recommend to everyone!!! read more

I found the particular pair of skis I wanted. They had a very lightly used pair all mounted up with bindings and in great shape. They answered all of my many questions, and the skis were exactly as described. The price was about 1/2 of what a new pair would have cost. I found some 2025 skis at Lone Pine that were essentially brand new with bindings. Talked with the staff who pulled the skis, accurately described the minimal scratches, checked the boot size on the bindings. I ordered them and had them in 3 days. A coffee shop! What do you do when you're waiting for someone else to finish shopping? Was going to buy full ski set when I walked in the door. I'm a little uneasy about spending hard cash on a new sport I've picked up as I'm new to Utah and didn't grow up skiing so I was expecting some actual customer service. Stood next to a person buying boots and waited in sight for a solid 30 mins. A family walks in and boom, immediately attended to. Still waiting and finally get some help. In the middle of my shopping experience a buddy of the sales dude walks in and now I'm sitting there ready to move on from boot to binding. I wait a little longer and give up and walk out. Wow! I felt like we hit the jackpot coming to this store! First it's large selection of quality gear. The jackets were all in complete like new condition and reasonably priced. And their selection of skis and prices seemed unbeatable. The guy who helped us was busy helping multiple people but was very informative and didn't seem bothered by managing multiple buyers. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Plus they have an online shop, tune up service, and coffee shop.We ski here once a year and this will be the only store we go to from now on! I should add that we hit up four other consignment shops in the area and this was by far the best as far as selection, price, and gear condition. read more

Folks aren't super friendly or welcoming (except a kind older gentleman who I interacted with recently and may be new to the staff), but they have a good amount of new and used gear and a gear repair service I've utilized a few times with success. My husband and I stopped at Lone Pine with the intention of gathering information regarding new skis. As newcomers to Utah, there is a lot to learn as far as the difference between east and west coast snow/terrain. We had the good fortune to connect with Katie, an incredibly knowledgeable and approachable employee, who listened to our experience and expectations in a way that allowed her to pull out skis that were exactly what we wanted! We never felt pushed towards a certain product or felt any pressure to buy during the visit. But we did buy, and felt completely comfortable it's our choices because of Katie's professional knowledge. When I went to the shop, the boots were listed as more money, but it turns out they were in on sale and I got them for the same price as the Geartrade listing. Their prices for ski tune services are also very competitive and I plan on returning to have some tunes done ASAP! read more
