They answered all of my many questions, and the skis were exactly as described. The price was about 1/2 of what a new pair would have cost. Talked with the staff who pulled the skis, accurately described the minimal scratches, checked the boot size on the bindings. I ordered them and had them in 3 days. Was going to buy full ski set when I walked in the door. I'm a little uneasy about spending hard cash on a new sport I've picked up as I'm new to Utah and didn't grow up skiing so I was expecting some actual customer service. Stood next to a person buying boots and waited in sight for a solid 30 mins. A family walks in and boom, immediately attended to. Still waiting and finally get some help. In the middle of my shopping experience a buddy of the sales dude walks in and now I'm sitting there ready to move on from boot to binding. I wait a little longer and give up and walk out. Wow! I felt like we hit the jackpot coming to this store! First it's large selection of quality gear. The jackets were all in complete like new condition and reasonably priced. And their selection of skis and prices seemed unbeatable. The guy who helped us was busy helping multiple people but was very informative and didn't seem bothered by managing multiple buyers. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Plus they have an online shop, tune up service, and coffee shop.We ski here once a year and this will be the only store we go to from now on! Folks aren't super friendly or welcoming (except a kind older gentleman who I interacted with recently and may be new to the staff), but they have a good amount of new and used gear and a gear repair service I've utilized a few times with success. My husband and I stopped at Lone Pine with the intention of gathering information regarding new skis. As newcomers to Utah, there is a lot to learn as far as the difference between east and west coast snow/terrain. We had the good fortune to connect with Katie, an incredibly knowledgeable and approachable employee, who listened to our experience and expectations in a way that allowed her to pull out skis that were exactly what we wanted! I went in knowing exactly what I was looking for, but still received stellar service. Both Lanny (sp?) and Zack were very helpful. I got the exact ski boots I wanted after seeing an ad on Geartrade. When I went to the shop, the boots were listed as more money, but it turns out they were in on sale and I got them for the same price as the Geartrade listing. Their prices for ski tune services are also very competitive and I plan on returning to have some tunes done ASAP! read more
