My story of recovery... In the early spring of 2012 I was busy helping to prepare raised garden boxes for another season of home grown vegetables. In the process of prepping a garden box I inflamed my sciatic nerve in the L4-L5 region resulting in discomfort down the left leg. I had had problems before and knew what usually worked. However, this time the pain increased to the point of me being barely able to walk let alone stand straight up. The pain felt as someone was shoving a red hot poker into my quad muscle of my left leg and twisting it around. My previous chiropractor had moved away, leaving me to quickly search the Internet for someone close by. One site that caught my eye was that of Doctor Patrick Jones. I was impressed with the information presented. I called (during lunch) and left a message. I received a call back shortly telling me that I could come in that day and be seen. (YEA!!!) They even emailed me the forms to fill in so I would be ready to go when I arrived. I arrived later that same day and was professionally greeted by a wonderful staff, whom I have come to know and call my good friends. I was quickly taken back to the examination room and was screened by Kisha, a warm and compassionate assistant who made me feel right at home. She explained everything she was going to do and was very patient with me since I could only stay motionless for a brief amount of time due to the excruciating pain in my leg. Dr. Jones was equally patient with me, especially since standing straight-up for the x-rays was causing me to become extremely nausea. Dr. Jones explained very succinctly what he believed to be the cause of my pain and began to make adjustments to my back. I actually left his office that day feeling the first bit of relief in several days. I returned several more times with each visit leaving me in less pain and discomfort and walking better and straighter. The immediate relief was greatly appreciated but even more so was the detail to making sure I fully understood what were the issue contributing to my pain and what actions I would need to take to strengthen and improve my back as well as the quality of life. Dr. Jones explained that my severe flare up was only one of several symptoms (unrecognized by me) that I had been experiencing for several months as being also connected to my back problems. Dr. Jones has also provided supportive guidance in my returning to the gym in order to better improve my overall health and well being with suggested exercises for specific exercise machines as well as swimming strategies. The entire staff has been of great encouragement and support during the past several months and have made me feel more than just another patient. Why only 5 stars??? I want to give 50 Stars to this company! First thing I'd like to say is the only reason I go here is because the front desk ladies are the best! They know you by name and love to talk about your day and see how you are doing. They're always in good spirits and as far as I know, they live the life of happiness. That make it all worth while!!! Thank you thank you! Now, on to the Doc. I've been to so many different kinds of doctor, specialist, chiropractors, surgeons, voodoo healers and some I'm not allowed to mention in the US to have them try and fix my back. The only thing that's come of it is nothing. I'm a skeptic and didn't think there was a way to make my back pains go away. It has been 8 plus years I've been dealing with daily back pains, headaches and just lack of energy until now. My parents recommended Dr. Jones to me and set me up an appointment. To say the least I was not expecting much other that to have him bend and crack me in ways I was not supposed to be, but low and behold he had a different plan in mind. He understands that everyone is unique in there own pains and just doing the standard will not cut it in this practice. After the few scans and X-Rays he sat me down and explained to me what was going on and why it was going on. He worked out a plan of action and made sure I was comfortable with it. I've been going for about 2 months now and I feel like I'm 21 again! (I'm 30 by the way) I used to have headaches every day, regardless of what I do. Constant back pain and stiffness. My sleep was poor. My energy was of a 70 year old (no offense Grandma) and my over all a life style was lacking. Now a days the headaches are virtually gone, the stiffness and pain in my back have been cut in half and I feel like a more normal person. I have struggled with back pain for 11 years due to degenerative disc disease. I had my 1st surgery at 19 then in my late 20s I tried steroid injections. All of this provided temporary relief but my problems continued to manifest. On a referral from a co-worker I tried Dr Jones and I couldn't be more happy with his care. He and his staff have always treated me with kindness and respect. As soon as I walk in I am greeted by name and made to feel completely welcome. On bad days, and there will always be a few for me with my condition, they are all genuinely concerned and sympathetic, going out of their way to make me comfortable and get me treated as soon as possible, Before seeing Dr Jones I was barely able to walk. It took me about 15 minutes to get from my car to my desk at work and that was when I got a close parking space. I walked with a lean to the right to make the trek less painful to the point where I had caused a curve in my spine from carrying myself that way for so long. Now I walk at a normal pace and my posture has greatly improved. I hate to think how horrible I would feel had it not been for the team at Lone Star Chiro. Dr. Jones and his staff are fabulous people. I had tried other chiropractors over the years, and was very disappointed with all of them. Lone Star if different! I have been going there for a year, and they are always very nice, professional, and very prompt, which is a bit strange since I never feel rushed with my questions when it is my turn. I had other chiropractors who only addressed whatever my main complaint was, and charged me extra for everything, so that I could never tell how much my visit would cost. I first came out to Lone Star with a coupon, it is a very long drive from my house, about 50 minutes. I really thought I would change after the initial appointment to someone more local, but I now feel like it is well worth the drive! Besides that, there is a fabulous place to eat lunch next door, very healthy vietnamese food and nice owners, Pao Thaisun. So it is a treat for me to get my back, neck, and all the rest of my aches sorted out, then go have a relaxing and healthy lunch with a pot of hot tea! read more

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Jones and his staff. At 39 I had been in chronic pain for over 10 years from a bad horseback riding accident. I tried everthing under the sun and was about to give up that anyone could help me. I had even seen other chiropractors with little success. Dr. Jones listened and did a thorough exam with appropriate x-rays and scans and set up a comprehensive plan for the next year. Right away I felt relief from the severe pain. He has helped my body heal and shift into a healthy alignment that has allowed me to play with my kids. He also set up physical therapy exercises for me and closely monitored how my body is adjusting to this. He also is great about listening, and explaining the process of healing so I know what to expect. His comprehensive care has given me a new lease on life! I have been struggling with chronic pain for years. My job and my lifestyle are very physically demanding. I had forgotten what being pain free felt like since each day was a struggle. I had tried other means of treatment, but did not find any relief. Dr. Jones has a completely different approach to total health care than I had previously experienced with other medical professionals . The scans showed exactly what my problem areas were and he devised a plan based on the results of the scans and X-rays. I have been seeing a huge difference in the way I feel and move and am now able to do the things I enjoy in a pain free manner. I'll start by saying that some people may be helped by Dr. Jones, whom I liked a lot. But after two visits, I concluded that chiropractry is not for me. I didn't like the popping of the neck, particularly when I later learned there is the risk of stroke involved. And I truly did not understand or care for the high-pressure tactic of trying to get me to commit to a lengthy "corrrective care plan." I sent in questions about the coverage, not understanding why I would have to pay almost $1,500 out of pocket for a five-month plan when I had insurance. I never received a response. The "Terms of Agreement" are indecipherable and very cagey, and so I gave up. I understand that Lone Star needs to make money, but there was something a little "off" in their whole approach. Helping a patient is clearly not their primary goal--far from it. read more

Lone Star chiropractic is a well run practice with a very competent (and friendly) practitioner and staff. Dr. Jones really knows his business and gets results, at least in my case. He seems motivated to restore my health through both adjustments and pertinent suggestions about exercise, nutrition, and what to avoid. I've never felt pressured by him to buy products or to schedule visits beyond what I thought was useful. I also saw a surgeon for my back issues. He knew of Dr. Jones and said that he had a lot of confidence Dr. Jones because he had seen him heal a number of patients. I thought that was a remarkable testimony coming from a surgeon. read more

Our family has been seeing Dr. Jones for about 10 years now and have not considered going elsewhere. He listens to my needs when I am there and gives me tips on how to stop causing the problem to happen in the first place. When I began seeing Dr. Jones, I was having daily headaches and thought they were "just because I was getting older". Within five adjustments, the headaches had subsided. He also will tell you when you need to see a doctor and not keep you from seeking the necessary medical treatment. I had a groupon type coupon and had never been to a Chiropractor before. After visiting Lone Star Chiropractic, I'm a believer! I don't have any symptoms, but after getting x-rays and scans Dr. Jones showed me some things that were going on in my body that would affect me in the future. He let me know what things I need to do now to prevent problems in the future. Before going I didn't put much stock in going to a Chiropractor, but now I think it can be useful for anyone, even kids. My only regret is not starting Dr. Jones' chiropractic care at the same time my 12 year old son started...or for that matter years ago! He is a month in and within the first week I (and mostly he) noticed an immediate difference. A few months ago I bought a groupon for a chiropractic consultation, exam, x-rays, and one adjustment. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have always had back pain and suffered from chronic migraines. When Dr. Jones said that he could help with the pain AND the migraines I was a little skeptical, but I am a believer today! Everyone in the office is very friendly and helpful. They're also very personable and take a genuine interest in how my wife and I are doing beyond our chiropractic needs. Dr. Jones has been able to help my wife with her ribs being out of joint more so than any other doctor she's seen the last few years. Dr. Patrick Jones is terrific! The staff is the friendliest you can find. The environment is inviting and clean. Dr. Jones is up to date on the latest technology and care. I have been seeing Dr. Jones for a little over a month. I am already getting relief from a pinched sciatic nerve. I could hardly lift my leg to get into my vehicle.
