If you do the research, both on Yelp and Google, you'll understand why. Dr. Sperling appeared on my radar as the only working GE receiving favorable reviews, so I broke down and met with him. He addressed all of my concerns - including acid reflux - with compassion, good judgement, attention to detail, and understandable explanations. Everyone on his team made me feel cared for and supported. The attending nurse, the anesthesiologist, and even the scheduling and billing team did a flawless job. And... I don't have acid reflux anymore.... An imperative health asset if you happen to love Mexican and Indian food! Dr. Sperling, I hope you're feeling the love while I'm enjoying my tacos al pastor!

Dr. Julie Reardon has surpassed my wildest expectations of what a family physician CAN--and is willing--to do. I think that's in part because she is a phenomenal physician and person, and I suppose the Harvard education and work with Dr. Andrew Weil doesn't hurt. I'll add that all of the folks in her office are equally as competent and caring. If you are contemplating a visit to Dr. Reardon, it's because you haven't been feeling as well as you should--probably for quite some time. Your insurance-covered doctor has run some general tests that haven't shown anything all that extraordinary; and while you may greatly respect your PCP as I do, you realize that time and budget constraints limit the ability to which they can explore your issues. You may have been told that it's your impending menopause, or your weight, or that you perhaps should consider antidepressants. This is the state of medicine in our current era of managed care, and it's nobody's fault. Sometimes it just IS. Know that, if you can afford her services, "Dr. Julie" will leave no stone unturned in helping you find that road to recovery. She's not one of those "vanity doctors" who will hand you creams, diets, and vitamins to make you ageless and extra hot...although feeling better usually makes you look better! She's a serious, science-based physician with an uncanny ability to relate the typically unrelated, and see the "big picture" of your health situation. In our initial visit, she caught on to trending issues I'd never thought of before, including a potential genetic makeup that leaves me prone to certain problems with mood and energy level that are exacerbated by stress...and I've had a year of that! She ran a gamut of tests after explaining the purpose of each one, and uncovered a problem so critical it was a wonder I even had the energy to get out of bed in the morning. I am no less impressed with our follow-up discussions. She has referred to another provider for an area outside of her realm, and also recommended simple vitamin and supplement changes that will do me a world of good. At the same time, she's not that earth-crunchy guru that's going to mandate that that you live on purified air and chants...hers are moderate lifestyle changes for real people living in our everyday world. Dr. Julie doesn't take insurance, but that allows her to spend true quality time with the patients who sign on with her. I will say that, for the fees involved, I feel like it's been a very good choice for my healthcare dollars. I am finally getting some solid answers as to why I've felt HORRIBLE over just this last year, and I finally feel confident knowing someone's got my back while I take steps to get better. I think there are a lot of docs out there who dream of having a practice like Dr. Julie's--and she has made that dream a reality. She took a brief history, and we discussed who had referred me and why. After documenting the information, she let Dr. Nina Nandy know-I was available and Dr. Nandy came in and introduced herself, and we began to converse. She is very laid-back, yet very professional, in a comfortable kind of way. She listens very carefully and asks appropriate details. After hearing my history, she agreed with my primary care physician that it would benefit me to have some follow up procedures. We discussed her thoughts. She then told me about the preparation required, and said I would be receiving paperwork that would review everything. I expected her to have me call a scheduler or stop by the front desk to schedule, but she actually went in to the calendar and gave me some available dates and scheduled it herself. I worked in healthcare myself for well over 40 years, so it's so nice when you find physicians that are down to earth. I found that with my new primary care physician and both physicians that she has referred me to!!!!! All have been remarkably nice and caring -yet very professional, and competent . Be careful. Take someone with you who can stay with you and advocate on your behalf…read more I was a patient and had my lung severely damaged and ended up in the ER and hospitalized for days. It turns out upon receiving and reviewing the paperwork that I was rushed out the door in a manner contrary to their established procedures to get another patient in. I was sent home with paperwork saying everything had gone well, however the nurse was admonishing me before wheeling me out because, according to the story they were trying to sell me, I had a blockage that negatively affected the procedure. The truth, revealed at the ER about 30 minutes later, and in the paperwork I obtained from the center after submitting an information request, is that they had aspirated my lung and rushed me out the door and there are even documents from the RN and the CRNA that contradict each other regarding my vitals at the exact same time, suggesting an attempt to falsify records. Before I was discharged, they did not properly check my vitals, which the last time they had been checked were still well below my baseline. My wheezing was audible from across the room to others, but the medical professionals I entrusted with my care were too busy rushing to the next patient to hear and react. Their focus was not on my well-being but rather on their case load. They have admitted these failures since but failed to follow through on promises to ensure this can't happen to others and to communicate to me a proposed resolution. I was told it would take four weeks. Now I'm being told to be patient and wait another 5 weeks (or more) I have lung damage, and I'm weakened after my hospital stay. My family was traumatized by the ordeal. They assured me that they were conducting an investigation and taking action to ensure this doesn't happen to others in the future, but five weeks later, my bills are piling up and the only person involved who seemed to care has been forbidden to speak to me moving forward. My biggest regret in this is that I did not take action to warn others sooner. You might not have a lot of options for where you get your procedure done, but I would strongly caution you to watch these folks like a hawk. Ask them how long you will be monitored after the procedure, and ensure you have returned to your baseline before you let them send you home!
