Just over 19 years ago, after attending a 3-day, mini-vacation, timeshare presentation in Palm Desert, CA, my wife and I purchased a timeshare through Marriott. Over the years, we have never been back to the property even once, but we traded our weeks each year in exchange for 110,000 Marriott Rewards points. Up until the time that Marriott merged with Sheraton and the resulting program rendered the Marriott Rewards points virtually worthless, our yearly expenses for the timeshare were worth the cost. So when it came time to legally get out of our timeshare commitment, we didn't know where to turn for assistance. Fortunately for us, during my regular weekday walk, I listen to Sean Hannity on the radio, and he often mentions Lonestar Transfer as an excellent resource for anyone wishing to legally exit their timeshare. On the Better Business Bureau website they have an A+ BBB Rating and an average 5 Star Review score. Getting a quote was simple and easy. Late one morning in December 2019, I went to their website and requested a quote online. By early afternoon, I received a call from Lonestar Transfer and we discussed our timeshare situation in more detail. The representative explained completely in detail what Lonestar would do for us (100% guaranteed) and what it would cost for their service (if you are a military retiree there is a discount, so don't be afraid to ask). At least in our opinion, the cost is more than fair for what they do. Everyone we dealt with throughout the whole process was very friendly, professional, helpful, patient, willing to answer any and all questions, etc. As of June 15, 2020 we are completely and legally out of our timeshare obligation. Perhaps we could have done it on our own or via another path, but as with pulling a tooth or receiving a colonoscopy, it is always best to leave it to a professional. I would like to express my most sincere appreciation and satisfaction to Lonestar Transfer for their efforts in liberating me from my heinous contract with Vistana Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. I spoke to several representatives prior to contracting with Lonestar, each time they were patient and knowledgeable when answering my many questions and concerns. I was extremely thorough in my quest for information because I previously lost two years of time and $4,000 to the scam which is Time Share Exit Team. Time Share Exit Team, advertised by Dave Ramsey, lied to me from the start, continually changed case managers, would not answer emails or calls. After two years of false promises and subterfuge, I was notified that I had broken the terms of the contract because I had not responded to their attempts to contact me. This was a shameless scam perpetrated by Time Share Exit Team and their spokesman Dave Ramsey. Understandably, I was suspicious and skeptical in my initial dealings with Lonestar. Despite my wariness, I was always treated with respect and professionalism. The Lonestar policies are simple, direct and obviously successful. All personnel that I spoke to were positive, low pressure, understanding and well-informed. I would like to personally commend Catherine Olivo, my case manager, for her exemplary efforts and final result. She conveyed a positive confidence throughout the process. All questions were answered promptly and accurately when asked. She reached out to me, throughout the process, in a timely manner which kept me informed and confident in the completion of this process. We really doubted whether anyone could help get us out of our timeshare. We had visions of our children being stuck forever because of our stupidity. We needed help and did due diligence in researching companies claiming they were THE real deal in getting people out of their timeshare. We purchased a timeshare in Puerto Rico about 25 years ago and were ready to get out of it. After 10 years of unsuccessfully trying to sell our timeshare with one of those online sales services, we realized that we needed to do something different. We realized that we could not sell our week; instead, we would have to PAY to get rid of it, so that our children would not be plagued with the annual fees after we die. I'm in there somewhere but, with ZERO complaints and over SEVEN HUNDRED positive reviews, I don't think you'll find mine. But, that won't matter. Read'em! That is what I did. 2-8-24 After years of trying to rid myself of a luxury timeshare I bought in 2006 (couldn't sell it or even give it away due to the ever increasing annual maintenance fees), I finally contacted Lone Star Transfer in late August, 2023. They were very transparent, explained their process and the time that might be required to complete the transaction. They were always available by email or phone. They also have a website that allows a client to track the progress of the timeshare divestiture. There is so much sleaziness in the timeshare industry that I was skeptical but desperate enough to rely on Bill O'Reilly's television endorsement of Lone Star that I paid them their fee and waited. As they had promised, as of yesterday I received written confirmation from both Lone Star and the Timeshare management that our timeshare ownership had been transferred to another party. When we originally decided to sell two timeshares we began the search for a company to help. After gong through double-talk with a number of companies we called Lone Star Transfer. My wife and I bought a Time Share more than 25 years ago. Unlike many other Time Share buyers, our experience in Aruba was very pleasant and we were not given false expectations. We had a Hawaii-based timeshare we regularly used and enjoyed for vacationing in other states for over 20 years. We were a little hesitant to use Lone Star Transfer at first because of all the horror stories you hear about the Timeshare relief companies. I checked the ratings on Lone Star Transfer and they were very favorable so we decided to go with them. Boy, I wish we did that 5 years earlier! They made the process very easy. Once we submitted all the required documents all we had to do is wait. Unfortunately we had to wait several months longer than they initially told us but that had nothing to do with LST. That was the fault of the timeshare company dragging their feet getting the paperwork completed on their side. I had heard of Lonestar Transfer on Hannity and decided to give them a try. I had a timeshare in Orlando that we purchased and used once. It quickly became a yearly annoyance and I wanted out. Lonestar was very good at managing expectations upfront. Getting out of the legal liability isn't quickly done but we got there recently (and I have a deed of conveyance and release of liability to prove it). Lonestar was very good at giving me periodic updates so I knew where things stood. And they delivered on their promises so I recommend them highly. (But go into this with realistic expectations. Getting off of a timeshare is a legal matter, and there are processes to follow that don't happen overnight.) read more

This was no simple task and was only further complicated by the delays due to COVID but I was delighted to find the final cancellation in my mailbox the other day. My uncle left me his timeshare in his will. Little did he know what a nightmare it caused for me. The timeshare became more restrictive over time (they suspended the points program and I could only use an entire week at a time). The annual maintenance fees increased every year.
