So I have waited quite a long time to write this review, so that I was sure my head was clear…read more If I could give ZERO STARS I would. The Ivy's screwed me and my husband over so badly. My husband and I were first time home buyers and very naive to the entire process. We told the Ivy's we wanted to stay in a certain area, had to have more than one bath, no stairs, no pool and we were on a time limit. We also told them that after our first house hunting day they would be dealing mostly with me as my husband was over seas. The first day was great they were kind and extremely patient with all of our questions. After my husband went back over seas things changed. They almost regularly missed my calls, were out of town, or didn't receive my text messages. When they did find the time to show me a house, it was not at all with in our parameters. One house they showed me had stairs, one bath and a pool. I was fed up, so I told my husband we needed to find a different realtor. When my husband called to let them no we would no longer be needing their services they were shocked and apologized several times, stating that "they couldn't not be more embarrassed and just to show us how committed they were to our future home happiness, they would forfeit part of their commission to help cover closing cost if need be!" (PS- we had this statement in writing, via email) So the next house we looked at, my husband was with me this time, looked great it was completely updated. As the Ivy's walked us through they told us about the house and it's updates. They told us the house was remodeled very well, new air conditioner (less than 3 years old), the plumbing was done so well, the garage was updated the right way and would stand up to Texas heat and brand new windows. We started the process to make this house our own and that's when things got worse. Crooked inspectors (eventually found out inspector and the Ivy's were connected), lying to us and the lender-when we had emails speaking to the truth and last but not least the Ivy's said they were going to sue our lender. We finally got the house and felt like we could breathe. WE WERE SO WRONG. All with in 4 months of buying the house the following is a list of things that transpired: our air conditioned stopped cooling, coming to find out it is an OLD unit and would need to be replaced within 4 years, we had to have it fixed. The plaster in the garage started to fall off the walls and ceiling, come to find out it was not done properly at all. Not one but two of our sinks started leaking- come to find out the pipes weren't done correctly at all, had to have them replaced. There was a MASSIVE leak in our shower pipes (behind the walls), come to find out the plumbing to convert the tub to a shower was done incorrectly, we had to have that fixed. Long story short- DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! They prey on young naive couples and then have their secretary call their ex client and ask if they would be will to write a review on how satisfied they were with their experience.

We are seniors who had not sold a house in many years, so we were a bit uneasy about taking on this large event in our lives. Within 5 minutes of entering our home, we knew we had made the right choice in Macey. First, she was so respectful of two seniors, who at every step of the way were befuddled about one thing or another. Not once did we get any sense that we were pests or asked too many questions, even when we forgot something she had said. She was a treasure in that respect. But there is so much more. One perhaps unusual feature of our transaction with Macey is that I wanted to be included in any communication. At times I was able to speak for my sister because we are joined at the hip and Macey knew that from the beginning. Claire wanted me fully included in the experience, and Macey honored that. Macey was thorough throughout a process requiring much detail. She kept us updated every step of the way. We always had the sense that we were her only client, though of course there were others. Talking to her never felt hurried or dismissive. She explained options thoroughly, and she never pressured us or hurried us to make a decision. Because we have trouble driving on freeways, she arranged for a notary to come to our house for closing. There is more I could say, but I'll end with this overall evaluation. Macey is the most professional, kindest realtor in the Metroplex. We feel honored to have her honest guidance in the sale of the house, an experience that took only 2.5 weeks. We will soon be needing to sell our primary residence, and we'll be right back in Macey's hands. She is a treasure and I recommend her unreservedly . 10 star experience!!

Was not there for inspection. Could have had the other agent fill in for her as she as unable to make it to fulfill her obligations for her client. Overall, it was impersonal and the service was not up to par in my honest opinion.
