02/01/24 1255 AM- Was told "I'll be right back!" from driver while looking for ride from train station. Waited 20 minutes, gave up and called an Uber. Long Beach Taxi driver finally arrived and attempted to taunt me from the safety of his car for choosing a company that was actually reliable. Interesting sales tactic! Inthe middle of a pandemic????? You're part of the problem. What made it worse is that I had a time sensitive appointment in Mannhattan which I had to catch the 4:29 pm train for. I called at 4:15, plenty of time for them to get to my place and bring me to the station. The dispatch said "5 minutes". 15 minutes passed when the can driver got here. So I told him to bring me to the Island Park train station because I had already missed the train leaving long beach. The lady behind me was also complaining about the driver's nasty attitude and yelling at the dispatch and honking at everyone. She angrily requested to be dropped back off at the train station and refused to pay. I don't blame her. We make our way to the Island Park station and the train is already leaving. What a waste of fucking time. I requested to be brought back home. I didn't pay either but the driver didn't give me a hard time about that. And now I have a headache from this whole situation AND the awful fucking smell of cigarette smoke. Really just a waste of fucking time. Never had a problem with taxi service from East Atlantic Beach to JFK. Would prefer to drive with local residents than Uber drivers. Drivers have been helpful getting in and out of the car since we travel with a wheelchair. Keep business alive in Long Beach! read more

The issue with Long Beach taxi is they charge $5 per ride per person which when traveling with multiple people is ridiculous.....add in the fact that you could have up to 5 stops before your stop you have to ask yourself why not just take the bus or uber (when traveling with more that one person) I regularly go to Point look out with 4 people for $10 each way..... I will say the drivers are very nice so that's why they get the 2 stars read more

Got in the car the driver ask me how to get to Rockaway ave the cross street is Atlanic Ave. I am a senior citizen new to area. I was parked at the gas station and the driver tapped my car and was extremely short with me when I said 'um hello you tapped my car!!?' And he responded with 'yea yea I just tapped it...He then proceeded to inappropriately place himself into my boyfriends personal space and my boyfriend said he reeked of alcohol, makes sense.. If you ever use this taxi service and the taxi with the license plate N103376C picks you up, don't get in the car!! He's probably drinking and driving. read more

Hi Everyone, we don't post to much but we have to share an experience we encountered last week. We reserved a van with Long Beach Taxi for 5 am to go to JFK Airport. Four adults and 1 baby. Long Beach Taxi never showed up. We called and they did not answer. Thank God we have great friends. Tom Knag and Roseanne rolled out of bed to get us to the airport. We are forever grateful to them. Don't use this taxi company, you could walk to your destination faster! If they tell you 5 to 10 minutes double it. I used them for the last time on 1/7 , coldest night of the year and after a 20 minute wait in a cold vestibule of the building the taxi showed up and I expressed that I needed to get to the Allegra hotel ASAP he grunted and went 2 blocks and took a left!!! my destination was 3 blocks up, I asked him to PLEASE take me to the hotel, I can't use the vulgar language he used here but I left the cab 2 blocks from where I was picked up in 19 degree weather and called Beech Taxi who showed up in 5 minutes to save me! My husband used this taxi service to get home so he didn't have to wake me (I'm 8 mo pregnant) at 2am. The driver did not have a change of a $20 and wanted drive around to find a place that had change, with no luck. When my husband said this was ridiculous, it's 2am and just worked a 19 hour day - HE KICKED HIM OUT - for not having change of a $20. It was pouring rain out, and this taxi driver actually actually kicked him to the curb because he didn't have a change of a $20, which seems like a basic responsibility of a taxi driver. I too have had terrible experiences with this company, which is why I either walked home or had someone get me. They are always late, they are consistently rude, sometimes under the influence of alcohol (!!!!), have inappropriate conversations with people in the car (shared ride) and their dispatcher is just as rude as the drivers. The reviews on Google are similar in tone to my complaint and I really think someone needs to take action action this business. To treat any human like this is a disgrace and this owner needs a reality check before someone gets physically hurt from their neglect and lack of safety (they drive worse than NYC taxi drivers). I don't care how cheap their ride is, this is not how a business should operate. Step it up Uber and Lyft!!! Make a bigger presence over here and take this business down! read more

This taxi company is awful - they don't even deserve 1-star. The Dispatcher is rude, obnoxious and doesn't care about the customer. The cars are dirty and the drivers are reckless. I was happy to get out the the taxi in 'one piece'. read more
