Meet Althea 2.0. A federally protected beast of a service dog. Thanks to @k9u_ny for doing such an…read moreincredible job training her into the super dog she is today. Couldn't be more proud of this pup. 6 weeks ago she was everything to me but was also very tough to manage. She was the sweetest dog 1 on 1 but had her special way of going complete berserko any time someone else entered the room. A few weeks ago a photo like this wasn't even worth trying for. She always moved out of frame and could never stay still for more than a few seconds. Marlon of @k9u_ny trained her to become not just more obedient, but a focused presence that is always looking for ways to ensure I'm loved. I feel as though I have a dog that's constantly on the look out for me. It's hard to put into words how comforting that is. It's the whole reason why I got her and after two tough years of losing hope that she'd always be a handful, here she is posing with easy for me to snap a portrait... without even the need for treats. Their service top to bottom is extraordinary. Marlon was always quickly reachable, he provided constant updates, his team was always on point and on their A game. Whether your dog is an intentional Covid pup or an unintentional one like Althea, consider reaching out to Marlon. He will change your dog's life and yours as well. I can't recommend him and his team enough. Althea, I'm looking forward to all of our adventures ahead. Especially now that you're not just a sane dog, but because you've become the best dog. Highly recommend K9 University across the board. They've changed our lives. Thanks again Marlon!

My husband and I started using their services a few months ago for private lessons for our new…read morerescue dog, August. We wanted to teach our dog basic obedience and work on making sure he didn't bolt right out the door whenever he saw the door open. Our dog made a tremendous amount of progress in just six weeks working with *Uncle Marlon*. At this time, we also sprinkled in a bit of day care facility to get August used to socializing properly with other dogs and learning to seperate himself from us On Saturday, for our wedding day, Marlon picked up August at 10:30 from our house and took him to daycare at his facility. He brought him to meet us at our venue at 4 and the took him back to be boarded that evening. We were so excited to have pictures with our baby on our wedding attire and can't wait to see pictures! We picked August up that Sunday ... and boy did he have a great time! 10000/10 for the greeting we got when we picked him up!! The staff is so sweet and makes the dogs feel so at home while they're away from home. We usually send August with his food, treats and a few things from home (toy, bed, blanket). Alyssa sends us pictures and videos of him playing and making new friends. It's the cutest thing ever.

My furbaby, Shabu, can be a handful - he barks at any sort of noise, runs around like crazy, and…read morehates when anyone who has given him attention starts walking away. HATES. But outside of his annoying issues, he's awesome, and let's face it, our pets deserve as much love and cuddle-time as possible. My friends recommended Mike of Paws Up NYC after he took care of their dog, who had aggression with other dogs, including mine, due to not being socialized when younger and snapped whenever another dog got within 5 feet. After two weeks of Mike taking care of her, their dog had no problem with dogs. Because my usual dogsitter was on vacation, I decided to use the time to try Mike out, and I'm glad I did! When I returned, Shabu was noticeably calmer indoors, so right away I knew Mike had done some training with him during his staycation. While Shabu doesn't have command issues, he does have behavioral issues and Mike had some (free) advice and suggestions that helped a ton; I believe he also tried to work with him on those issues but it's difficult because the permanent home is different from a temporary home. Regardless, it has helped to an extent for sure. Since then, I've been bringing my dog to Mike since he lives a bit closer as well. He really takes the time to get to know your dog's habits and quirks, meanwhile integrating them into the pack slowly (with new dogs) so as not to spaz any of them out. He can teach your dog basic commands or any new tricks if you'd like (there is a questionnaire that you fill out). The best part of the entire thing is that he keeps you updated the entire time with videos and photos so you don't have to freak out and worry how things are going. Not only is he great with dogs, he is very genuine and easy-going and makes you feel relieved with leaving your pup behind. I highly recommend Mike for anyone in the Queens area (or further if you are ok with traveling) for daycare, boarding or training. As for daily/weekly rates, it is on point with others in the area, so there is absolutely no excuse not to head to Paws Up. Now if only he could take care of my cat-dog*... *Cat that thinks and acts like a dog - not a half-cat, half-dog mythical creature

He did not mind that our Weim was high energy. Mike was cool as a cucumber as our Weim clamored into his car, and honestly, Mike's easy-going nature put us at ease. The cool thing? Is that Mike provided loving care to our fur guy and little did we know it would be the last time our Weim would board anywhere, as our he passed away at age 12, about nine months later. Mike provided us with photos and a video of our Weim in his care, enjoying his time with the other boarders, the video and photos we still enjoy looking at to this day. No other boarding service did that for us, and Mike did. (Okay, tears are welling up in my eyes now.) Please look no further. Mike is the best. Just call him. :)
