So much so, last year I had to be sedated! Zwanger-Persiri radiology has state of the art equipment for all your imaging needs. And it's so convenient, so close to my home. The staff is very patient and professional and they always play on their television in the lobby educational programs. I was watching a show on Great White Sharks, I didn't want to leave! Once I'm in the MRI room, they're playing 80s music to keep calm. Not moving for 10 minutes? I'm like a shark, constantly in motion. I sat still, payed my co payment and was out the door. It's really location specific- today 1/19/26 around 3:10 pm- at the east setauket location I was…read morethere getting a cat scan with IV contrasts - the blonde person inserting the IV placed it and withdraw blood from me in a syringe at the same time and saved it on the counter - not telling me what or why she needed it and then proceeded to tell me to leave and wait in the room next door- i then asked why the blood was taken she said oh they need to check my kidney function( test my dr did before sending me for this test) she then proceeded to put some drops in a card to run in machine and saved the rest- she came back said test was ok but still didn't discard the left over one in the syringe- it was instead placed in an cut envelope ( extra unsafe step there not needed!!) and since I wouldn't leave , she attempted to discard the syringe protected in the half cut enveloped. I said no - then took the syringe out of the envelope and emptied half the blood in syringe in the red hazard disposable sharp bin next to me first before dropping into the completely in the bin. Now be careful everyone- something fishy about this be careful - be vigilant - trust no one!! I advised the technician next time to inform me of what she was doing before proceeding. Without my consent, she collected my blood to run test without my permission. Shocking! Wonder what else is going on there. Be careful yall!!! I would be careful everyone- ask questions when not sure and always trust your instinct. This is a first time I know that a radiology place would draw one's blood free of charge to run a test without one's consent- they obtain consent for everything including asking and recommending test to charge your without insurance but somehow running test on my blood without consent is done without permission and free of charge. If this has happened to you don't ignore it speak up.

Recently, I was at his Elmhurst, NY office (at 88-06 55th Avenue, Elmhurst NY), and he gave me attention and discussed my plan and possible treatment options which made me feel comfortable. Other doctors the past, in other practices have rushed through my appointments, but not Dr. Li-Ten Wu. His explanation and patience encouraged me, helped resolve my concerns and boosted my courage to face possible medical issues. He is highly recommended as an oncologist and is my best doctor. My wife and I have been going here for our first pregnancy and the experience the past few months has been fantastic. The entire staff has been a pleasure to work with, clear on communication for next steps (testing, follow ups, etc), pregnancy progress / milestones, etc. Dr / patient care has been great as well, we've met with a number of doctors on staff and the experience has been great with all of them so far. All are very knowledgeable, professional and communicate clearly. Never felt pressured into making any decisions around testing or pre screening and only given information to help make an informed decision. Office visits never feel rushed like we sometimes have with our primary care doctors, all nurses and doctors have been happy to answer as many questions as we have and provide direct access to them in case of any emergencies or concerns. Brenda in the Rocky point location has been a shining star, turning what can sometimes be a nerve racking experience for a first pregnancy or expecting moms into an extremely comfortable and personable experience where my wife and I are always excited for our next visit and to see Brenda. Because they were saying they were about to close. someone messed up my appointment time I have my appointment at 1:30 but they were saying 1 pm. So anyway he just asked me what was going on with me and I said I had been diagnosed with cervical Spondylosis disc degenerative. And I'm having numbness in my arm and 3 fingers. So he makes another appointment. At the second appointment, he did a nerve test told me I had carpal tunnel, and sent me to a hand Doctor. Wanted me to try medicine for 14 days. And I did. Saw him again and told him the medication was not working and I still had pain. And didn't give me anything for my pain after. also the first visit he asked me if I needed physical therapy. And I told him I had been going to physical therapy for 3 months 3 times a week but it had gotten too expensive for me so I stopped going. I do it on my own at home. He seems disappointed but I insist that too much of a cost. Next had an appointment but the office called me that he was out so I needed to reschedule and I did. Still didn't give me anything for my pain I'm hoping to talk to him about prescribing me. And it didn't happen. The following Friday, I needed to reschedule because I couldn't make the appointment. I was sick. asking the office if he could prescribe me something for my pain. The staff called me back and said he could prescribe me for inflammation. I said ok whatever it is to help me because I'm feeling pain and can't go to work. That day passed and nothing. Monday called again. The staff got in touch with him again and told me he was going to send it. That day passed and nothing. Called again and the staff said he was busy with a lot of patients. I was What the hell I'm also a patient of his I waited for 2 weeks. . And I told the staff you know what please cancel my future appointment I'm looking for another Doctor. She apologized to me and said I wish I had prescribed it. I said it's ok it's not you. Hopefully, he is not like this with other patients and future patients. I wasted my time and money I wish they feel the pain that people like me have been going through. And cared for their patients.
