This is a great place for fried fish with fried chicken and french fries too if you like that sort of thing. This place used to be the bomb. It's still pretty good but it's not quite what it used to be. They do offer cheese curds, which are very good and they have good drinks and good service and it's a clean restaurant, plus it's also in a convenient location. read more

The restaurant was not the cleanest inside, but the food was spot on and the people were nice. The fish tacos tasted excellent and the fries were not overly greasy. The staff were very friendly and quick with orders. The only downfall was something was up with the restrooms and it smelled absolutely awful. You could smell the restrooms from the front of the store when ordering and all in the store. Otherwise, it was nice to get a decent crispy fish for an affordable price. read more

went yesterday to Long John's Sea food on Towson Ave in Ft. Smith, Ark. First off, it tasted like it was cooked in 3 month old grease ! I got the $6 fish & chicken basket. it was Nasty. All I could taste was old grease ! Even the fries were bad. Could not even finish it ! WILL NOT GO BACK ! I wish I could give this place a zero stars rating - I would Save your money , just go to Walmart & get a ready made sandwich... At least you'll be able to finish it. read more

Terrible customer service. Firstly, they were out of the lobster bites. Secondly, their payment machine wasn't working, so we literally had to drive five minutes away to a bank to get cash, any other place with decent customer service would have just given the meal and apologized for the inconvenience. If my kids weren't hungry for this food, I would have just driven away. When we finally came back they gave a $10 discount so I'll at least give them that. read more

Their Fried shrimp are larger and better ballered than any local restaurant I have tried. Unlike the chain fast foods, they cook to order. Everything arrives fresh and hot. The Fish is very well battered, crisp outside ( not overly thick batter) and moist inside. The sides are very good and fresh. But, I pass on the lobster bites. Tiny, fishy tasting unidentified fish. If I could give zero stars, I would. They lost my order by giving it to somebody else and then made me stand there waiting for over twenty minutes without even trying to work my order back in. I was treated horribly when I asked where my food was? I did get a refund but only after receiving a horrible attitude from the manager and staff over their mistake. While i was getting my refund, two other customers aproached the counter for their refund too, that speaks volumes. Also, while we were waiting, the person behind the counter kept rubbing his nose and behind his ears and then touching money and food. When the shopping was done I decided to go and sit down somewhere and eat, which doesn't happen often because I don't feel the quality of food is worth the money we pay; however, on this day, I decided to go eat at LONG JOHN SILVERS. I walk into the restaurant and go up to the order counter and am deciding what I want to eat. The young African American man was running the register. He thought I wasn't watching him but I saw when he passed a pair of eyes to the girl behind the partition where she was preparing food. After he threw her a pair of eyes, he started the rant. You see, I had taken the sticker they give you when you vote and had it on my dress jacket and he saw it. He started hollaring and said, "This ain't my land!" "I don't get involved in all that!" Now, I had not said anything to this boy, my sticket didn't say who I voted for, it just stated that I voted. So, why the hell was this going on in Long John Silvers. What? Do you get harrassed and badgered in this restaurant because I voted? He went on and on about it, like I gave a fuck. ANTI-AMERICAN LONG JOHN SILVERS. I got my food and went and sat down to eat all the while haing to hear this boy hollaring the restaurant and attempting to draw so much attention to himself that everyone in the restuarant had to suffer it. I would say it was low class but it was actually NO CLASS. Then everyone had to hear about his fingernails and his fingernail polish. I guess he was wanting to announce his lifestyle to everyone. I don't remember the last time I stopped at an LJS but I figured why not. I'd had a long day teaching and a little fried fish seemed to be an ok dinner choice. I ordered a fish combo with fries and hush puppies. The fish was square shaped, thin and reminded me of fish sticks in flavor though you could tell it was actually meat from a fish, not just pureed and then deep fried. The fries weren't anything special and the hush puppies were rather flat with more refined starch than I prefer. Not being in the habit of complaining, I won't. I got what I wanted but won't be heading into LJS regularly. I rarely get seafood away from the coast. Living in Austin, TX I rarely get it. Fast food seafood? You get what you pay for. read more

We ate there a few weeks ago. It was one of the dirtiest restaurants we have ever been to. Condiment station looked nasty. Food was not very good. You could have scraped gunk off the floor. Food wasn't very good. Employees didn't seem to like their jobs or care about the customers I even called the one in Van Buren to find out who to contact about it and the person I talked to told me she would forward my information and either the store manager or the owner would definitely be contacting me. My husband and I came through the drive through at 20:03. According to my receipt someone named Sabrhea took our order and packed up our food and checked us out. When we pulled up there is no lighting over the menu and the menu isn't lit up well so it is hard to see what to order. I had to google the menu on my phone to check out the menu. She rushed us in ordering our food. If the menu was lit up I wouldn't have to take time out to google the menu and look through the website to see what I wanted. Don't rush your customers period. Second when we got to the window she dropped my shrimp on the counter and made eye contact with me. Both my husband and I saw her drop my food and put it back in the box. She turned her whole body to the back of us and picked up my food and put it back inside the box. When I confronted her abt the situation through the window she denied dropping it and said she dropped it on the napkin which is a LIE. Blatantly lying to our faces when we SAW the whole thing happen. I didn't want to argue with her (which is what was happening) bc there was a lot of people behind us and she wasn't taking accountability for admitting she dropped my food and just making me another order. I'm disgusted and appalled at the training this girl was given. I'm sure there are cameras everywhere and I'm sure you can review them. I'm pissed. I'm going to publish this review on every social media platform and on all LJS pages. I would've let this whole situation go if she had just got me a fresh order and admitted she dropped my food. But to stand there and lie to not only my face but my husbands face abt it, is wrong. How dare you stand there and lie. We SAW it girl. All you had to do was say sorry I dropped your food. Dined in a few days ago with my husband and kids. If you're looking for the classic old school long Johns, you definitely won't find it here.We ordered 2 fish and shrimp platters with fries and coleslaw. My daughters ordered 2 chicken plates with fries. Food was eh. And way to expensive. Some of my shrimp tasted like they had been sitting for awhile were some were fresh. Fries where cold and unsalted and we were the only customers. my daughters had fresher fries but we did not.Although the cashier was super sweet and nice.The bottom of receipt said jazz and she checked on us and asked if we needed any more sauce or refills.The only thing they did a good job on. ! read more

I was visiting the south after many years in California and had been thinking about eating LJS's since the day before. A simple order of beer battered fish combo. What came to the table was the wrong style fish and all the sides were wrong. However, that wasn't the worst part. The girl who took our order brought it back up and , out loud so I could hear across the restaurant, blamed ME saying that "NOW he wants the beer battered." So the manager brings the exact same food back to our table and puts it in front of me. I don't mind mistakes. Everyone makes them. But I detest bad service.
