Good food - quick and hot and ready - reasonable on price for the options and all you can eat buffet - though honestly we don't eat much - but still the menu of options is enormous. We cater with these folks and they are grilling steaks for us (again) upcoming along with a potato bar. They always do a. VETERANS DAY 25 Server Nonexistent. Had to refill our own drinks and bring dirty dishes to wait station. He Only checked on us after we finished. Ambiance Crowded initially, but an hr into it, pretty low volume. Food Disappointing. There were numerous salad bar staples missing, a few regular items on the food bar missing. Quality of food has declined on the past year. Overall While I greatly appreciate the free meal for veterans, providing sub par quality food, sub par food options, and vastly sub par wait staff. Alotta the stuff in the salad bar was really old, I was soooooo excited to go here specifically for the salad bar...since moving to nwa, I've yet to find one that matches the things I like in one....so where I came from I knew golden corral does...but I was severely disappointed when I showed up to see stuff like the lettuce being brown, the cottage cheese being yellow, and people grabbing things with their fingers not the tools sitting in the toppings cup they were grabbing from. read more

This place used to be better. Most of the food is good (skip the cookies) but they don't do a very good job of bussing tables. The one next to us remained dirty the whole time we were eating dinner. The soft serve machine disgusting. I asked if the vanilla was out and she said yes with no explanation. Also, there were gummy bears on the floor that nobody was cleaning up. Actually, thefloor was a mess all over the place. On the positive side, the young man waiting our table kept our drinks filled. Ambience is nice. Not too noisy. read more

Food quality is poor. The tables and chairs are in need of repair. I won't recommend this place to anyone.

It has always been a pleasant experience and the food is always great! I like that they have cut meats and a salad bar!

This is our second time here while in Fort Smith and both times was very good, amazingly. Our server Cheyanne today was tremendous (she even served us well with a ACL injury!) My family & I went to their Thanksgiving Buffet for the first time today, which will also be our last. To say it was a chaotic experience would be an understatement. We knew it would be busy & expected a long wait. What we didn't expect was their seating arrangement: tables brought in and crammed together to fit more people. Most of the tables were long cafeteria style & so close that it was impossible to move our chairs back at all. People were waiting to be served at each carving station for 30 minutes or longer.Then another wait for the side dishes. By the time we made it back to the table, our food was cold. Like I said, this was our first time to go for Thanksgiving so this may be typical for them. It's not typical for any other buffet I've been to. Very disappointing. The wait staff was incredible & tried to do their best, I'm sure they were overwhelmed by the number of guests. Amazing variety, mostly fresh and refreshed. Can't imagine an easier place to satisfy people who have different tastes or like multiple choices. No waiting on food, just get a plate and fill it and go back for more. The ambiance is lacking with people walking everywhere and kids flitting from food to dessert, etc. But for a place to just "chow down", this works. read more

So like, This place has been around a while. I remember the cookies as a little kid (15 years ago?) Rainbow sugar sprinkles. Yum. But sadly they don't exist here anymore. Over the years there's been lots of new choices to choose from, most recently and my favorite thing from the buffet is the salad bar! So many fresh toppings to choose from. Wait staff is often mediocre/in training it seems. Very good for groups, my family have a bad habit of bringing in 20+ adults on holidays and it's always handled out smoothly. read more

When this location first opened many years ago, it was the go-to place for a fresh meal with many options, at a good price. We stopped going a few years back, because the food lost a lot of its quality. Today, after seeing numerous commercials for their all-you-can-eat prime rib and bone-in catfish, my family and I decided maybe it was time to give them another shot. We paid for their "premium buffet", fully expecting to get our fill of the above. There was no mention by any employee there at the register, nor any signage anywhere, that mentioned that they had stopped the prime rib 2 weeks ago. We only found that out after paying our $52.83 for a family of 3 and had walked around the buffet in search of it. I asked the chef at the steak station, and he said they didn't have any of that or the bone-in catfish. Wow, were we REALLY disappointed!!! We got to our table and our server came by. I told her we were upset about it and a few minutes later, she came by with a plate of (fresh and hot!!) bone-in catfish. I thought they were out? Hmm.... The manager, Joe, also came by and proceeded to make numerous excuses why (1) they don't have prime rib (and haven't for 2 weeks), in spite of the fact that they are still advertising the heck out of it, and (2) why it is not their fault and they are helpless to do anything about it. I personally have a low tolerance for lies and excuses. This business is not only false advertising, but personally, I feel like they are not concerned with ripping the customer off, charging premium buffet prices for substandard food (cheap cuts of gristle, aka their version of steak, etc). Now lets move on to what else I observed. A dirty salad bar...salad dressings spilled everywhere within eyesight of the salad bar attendant, pasta floating in the container or tomatoes, etc. Absolutely the only thing "good" about our experience today, was our server, who I am embarrassed to say, I forgot the name of. She was professional, quick to check on us, keeping our drinks refilled and our plates cleared. As I told Joe, we will not be back. There are plenty of other places in Fort Smith to spend our dining dollars and they will get our patronage. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, but if you do go, keep your expectations very low. read more

Absolute outrageous pricIng!! Apparently the Fort Smith Golden Coral has recently raised their prices to an unaffordable state. Almost $19.00 for a buffet (price includes charge of $2.99 for a glass of tea) on a Tuesday night, in addition to leaving a $2 tip = $21.00 for a plate of food, a glass of tea and a sliver of dessert. Unless you are able to down an enormous amount of food in one setting, go to the local steakhouse instead - you will get better food, service and save a few bucks! read more

This place has a wide selection of food. From Chinese food, All American fried, Italian, among other choices. The salad bar is delish and forget about the dessert bar.... very good. However, there were customers in there that smelled like urine...I felt bad, poor people... but it made the experience less than desirable because every time we walked into the side dining room, we whiffed the urine stench.... The workers were so nice and helpful, though. I give it 3 stars because the food was tasty. read more

Avoid going here on weekends, unless you want to get trampled on by a bunch of people who act like they haven't ate in weeks. The food isn't anything special. It's a hit or miss here. Sometimes they have good food, other times it's eh. I'd recommend ordering a steak from them (way better than cutting the big slab they put out for everyone to pick at) and some good ol' fried okra. Okay, the latter was a personal preference. Other than that, it also depends on the waiter you get. The waitress the last time I went was really kind and brought all different types of sauces to our table to try out with our steaks. I enjoy the variety of food served. I always get my food to go and each time it totals less than $10. I normally get steak, brisket, fish, sides, rolls and a dessert so for that price, you really can't beat it. The buffet is clean and the staff keeps fresh food coming out. read more

Not only was the guacamole turning black BUT my family and I sat down in a table and we waited ten minutes for someone to serve us but no one came so what did we do? We got up and went to another table to see if maybe NOW they could serve us but no it took someone five more minutes to serve us. I went in at opening on thanksgiving day. They opened the doors about ten minutes late. The buffet was very tasty. The had ham and turkey. The turkey was a little dry but the ham was perfect. The sweet potatoes with marshmallows was incredible. The desserts were well stocked. The only reason they do not get five stars is because of what I saw a kitchen worker do. From where I was seated I could see into a kitchen area where they were cooking rolls. The worker moved some risen rolls into the area on a rolling rack and accidentally moved the floor mat. She replaced the floor mat with her bare hands and then without washing the proceeded to move the rolls off the rack and into the oven. It made me wonder what else she touched with her unwashed hands afterward. Cleanliness is very important to me.she didn't touch the rolls, only the pans, but it still bugged me. read more

I'm rating this place compared to other buffet places to be fair. I'll start with the good. Good- lots of variety on proteins, vegetables, and desserts. I wasn't starving when I went but could eat and stuck with their fried chicken and mashed potatoes with the fixings. It was really good! They have really good bread to pair with the meal. The party I was with tried the steak (not bad but not great), and pot roast which they said were also enjoyable. The best thing hands down was the CARROT CAKE! I don't even like like carrot cake but this was so moist and had small bits of carrot that made you question if you were dining at GC. The service was good, our waitress was doing the best she could to pick up the plates and not let it pile up. Bad- it was kind of dirty during rush hour Sunday lunch which made the food less appealing. The servers were great but they should probably look into hiring more staff during Sunday lunch. The other food on the buffet line from their Mexican cuisine was just terrible. It was so salty and one bite made you want to throw it away. People can add their own salt but can't take away. The other desserts were so so, not worth the calorie intake but looked good. They did have a chocolate fountain which I didn't get a chance to try nor wanted to because the restaurant wasn't that clean. The salad bar looked good but again, I stayed away cause of the restaurant not keeping up with keeping it neat. Lunch for 2 adults, and 1 child was $35 which is pricey if you aren't starving. My recommendation is don't go if you want to go out to eat in Fort Smith but check it out if you are just starving and can't make up your mind on what to eat and feel the need for a buffet. He's very LOUD and everyone knows when we scream or even talk loud we tend to lose control of our spit (saliva) - This is not cool! He stands in a close proximity of the steak and he's making off-color jokes with his female co-worker. They stood there and talked about other people's business (he bent down VERY close to the food so that she could hear him better because of the glass window) and then that female co-worker asked me if I wanted some steak.
