The food here was absolutely outstanding! The xiao long bao was phenomenal, with a thin skin, plenty of delicious soup broth and a healthy amount of ground pork. I also ordered the green onion pancake which was crispy, chewy, and not at all greasy. I also got the braised beef noodle soup which came with plenty of fresh and tender beef pieces. Overall, this was a 5/5 experience for me and I'll most definitely be back!

So excited that Long's Noodles opened so nearby. We usually go to the one on Foothill Ranch, but it's a lot convenient for me to go to this new location. Food is delicious. We love the XLB, beef wrap, onion pancake, beef noodle soup & fried dumplings.

The food here was delicious and service was fast. Restaurant is clean and very open feel. Very glad it's close to the house and will come back soon.

The dumplings here did not meet up to my expectation. The braised beef noodles lacked that "spicy kick" taste. The dumplings were small and tasted mediocre. The pan fried buns were ok; it does not squirt juice like the other places l've been to. Scallion pancakes were the only positive dish. There was a screaming baby right next to us that made the dining experience less interesting. I know it's not the restaurant's fault for that. But sometimes you wish the parents would control their kids by taking them outside to cool off. The SGV has a vast selection of delicious dumpling homes.

They have the best fried Baos I've ever had. The popcorn chicken and pickled veggies is also very good. The scallion chicken was a bit bland. It was soft and tender though. The crispy duck noodles was interesting. The noodles and soup were really good, but the crispy duck was a bit too fried and dry. The service was really slow. Restaurant was new and clean. Staff was nice. Been here twice in two weeks. Must be good right! Happy Baoing!!

My friend and I checked out this Long's location in Lake Forest, not too far from its stores in Irvine and Foothill Ranch. There is another Long's at San Clemente farther to the South. This store seems to be a clone of the store in Foothill Ranch, roughly the same size, same vibe, and same menu. Braised beef noodle soup tasted as expected. The beef roll was crispier, may have been fried after it was rolled up. We also ordered the green onion pancakes since it is a $1 special item. My friend liked XLB the most. It was served with sliced ginger that I didn't get at other Long's locations. I was pleasantly surprised that the entire check is 15% off in November during its grand opening. So you may want to drop in soon to take advantage of the discount.

Located in a strip mall with easy parking and very close to the freeway, my friend and I visited driving from Irvine to San Diego. We were a bit confused because the banner outside says "Noodles House." The food was scrumptious! Scallion pancakes had good crisp texture, was not greasy, and had just the right amount of salt. Shumai was absolutely ginormous. Steamed dumplings were good as well. Sesame balls were on the small side but good. Given the size, the ratio of filling to "shell" was a bit low. My friend got a shredded pork soup. It was pretty big and spicy, which she enjoyed. Very strong value for the money for this high quality food. Service was friendly, helped us to box the leftovers, and was quick and attentive. The restaurant feels very new and clean. A delightful visit!

This place is in soft opening. They're offering 15% off during this time while they work out the kinks. Boy let me tell you, there are a lot of kinks. When you walk in, there's the Yelp wait-list tablet setup at the door but right next to it is a giant screen where you can self-order your food. Nobody greeted me and the place looked pretty empty so I just browsed the screen for the menu and decided to order from it. That was a mistake. As I found out more clearly later, the soft opening discount will not be applied if you order from the screen setup. It also took them over 30 minutes to prepare my food. And they left out a dish I had ordered, but I didn't find that out until I was most of the way home and got texted by the restaurant. Those were the bad points. On the other hand, the restaurant was accommodating in other ways in order to make up for their shortfalls and that counts for a lot. Since I was very far from the restaurant, I declined to return for the missing dish and asked for a refund to my CC instead. I also mentioned I did not receive the soft opening discount. They immediately refunded me the difference which I appreciated not having to go through a drawn out discussion to achieve. The waitress was also very nice in bringing me hot water while I waited for my food. Back to the bad points. The food took so long to get to me and I didn't enjoy any of it. I ordered the chicken roll, which was cold and rubbery by the time I tried it. It was also insanely spicy for some reason. I know the reason, there was a spicy cabbage relish added it to that could easily have been placed by the side to be added by the customer if they wanted to taste the fiery inferno of the sun on their tongue. Please do not add random spicy condiments that don't need to be there without warning. If I were eating this dish at the restaurant, I would have sent it back to be remade without the spicy condiment. I ordered the duck, which I did not know was a combo plate that came with more spicy cabbage relish (that came on all the dishes) and some random steamed veg (bok choy). I was mainly interested in roast duck which I saw in another review was supposed to be good. This was not good duck. It was burnt to charred blackness and the meat was chalky and tasted mainly of disappointment. The pieces were hacked very small and unevenly. There was no picture on the screen for this menu item and I can see why if they're trying to sell it. If I had seen it before ordering, I would not have ordered it. I ordered two rice combos with soup. One was the Hainan chicken. The ginger scallion sauce was good as was the rice if a little over moist, but the chicken was over boiled and very plain tasting. The sauce was there of course to add flavor but I expect chicken to have intrinsic flavor outside of additional sauce. I didn't even taste any seasoning on the chicken before adding the sauce. The other combo just said braised pork so I was surprised to find a soy sauce based liquidy stew with the pork diced into tiny pieces. The pork came with seemingly random sides like the cabbage relish and macaroni salad (??). The soup these combos came with was an emulsified milky bone broth. It smelled and tasted of pork fat but there were surprise chicken pieces at the bottom. The missing item from my order was chili oil pork and shrimp wontons. I'm interest in trying it but I wasn't going to drive all the way back to retrieve it. The decor is spare but clean. There's a giant tv behind the service counter that plays Korean singing and dancing which is odd considering this is a Chinese place. The outside only says Noodle House so seeing Long's Noodles as the name inside was a surprise. While I was disappointed by the wait and the food, good customer service means I will be back after they work out the kinks. 3 stars is generous but I hope they will exceed my expectations the next time I come in and fully earn all the stars.

Here is my credential for this review, I'm from Shanghai China. I can validate for this place, their XLB and pan fried are ON POINT! One of the best pan fried bao in OC I can confidently say that! You don't want to miss this 50% of XLB deal, and $1 popcorn chicken. Did I mention the popcorn chicken were also so so yummy! Food came out pretty fast! Service were great!

Highly recommend this place! Friendly staff! We ordered Braised Beef noodle soup , beef roll, shrimp+pork Xiao long bao and pork pan fried buns. Everything was delicious.! The braised beef was tender. The beef roll was flavorful, and we like it so much better than the one from Noodle St. The skin on Xiao long bao was thinner, reminds me of the DTF XLB, it was excellent! Definitely will return and try other items on the menu!

Tried this little hidden gem again and noticed some new additions to the menu, including Shanghainese classics like Lion's Head and sautéed green beans. Everything tasted spot on! The Lion's Head in particular was outstanding--not only great value, but the addition of crunchy biqi really brought out an authentic Shanghai flavor you don't often find in SoCal. Service was attentive and friendly as well. Definitely coming back!

I had the most amazing time at this restaurant! The restaurant was pretty packed but got seated immediately. I was craving dumplings and their dumplings were amazing and juicy but the stand out for me was the beef noodle soup! It had the best textured noodles that I've had for some time and really tender beef slices. It was perfect with the chili oil that they had on the table. I loved that they have frozen dumplings that you can take home and I will definitely plan for that next time.

They all start to taste the same. Quite disappointed at the dumpling wrapper / skin... which is as important as the filling. They over steamed / cooked the shumai, XLB, and wonton so the dumpling skins were too soft, almost mushy. Maybe some people prefer this texture? Smashed cucumber has large portion, flavor is quite light compared to Din Tai Fung and Paradise Dynasty versions. Din Tai Fung and Paradise Dynasty are more expensive, but their quality and flavor are better so I would still go there for my dimpling cravings. Staff is friendly. Maybe try other dishes besides dumplings...

Since my tastes aren't quite as adventurous, we ordered the Sichuan sweet and spicy chicken and the mapo tofu. I wasn't sure what to expect from the chicken dish, but it reminded me of a chicken in garlic sauce. The portion was very generous. full of meat, and not very spicy at all. Likewise, the mapo tofu wasn't that spicy but it had a lot of Sichuan peppercorns, which provided that mouth-numbing feel. The serving was large enough that we had leftovers (and the chicken dish, too). Maybe because my husband is not Chinese, they toned down the spice level - which is funny because I'm the one that can't handle spicy. The restaurant is nice and modern. They have QR codes for the menu, but they also have physical copies as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the menu was much larger than the menu pics I had seen uploaded on Yelp (I added a bunch of new ones). Service was fine (though they were arguing over whose fault it was that a customer was ignored, which gave it that authentic feel). Plenty of parking in the lot.

Shanghai style smoked fish ($16.5) - This fish isn't smoked, rather it's deep fried twice creating an extremely crispy exterior and is dipped in a sweet soy sauce. It's a unique tasting appetizer, perfect for sharing. Sauteed string beans with garlic ($13.5) - These beans had a slight crunch and are a great veggie option. Steamed fish and shrimp dumplings ($14.50 - 8 pieces) - This is a good option if one is looking to get their dumpling fix. Steamed veggie dumplings ($14.50 - 8 pieces) - This is another good dumpling option that tastes great. However the dumplings aren't that filling themselves. Braised beef shank noodle soup ($16.50) - Made with braised beef, pickles, cilantro, bok choy, green onions, noodles and a savory and spicy beef spot, this dish is perfect for a cold day. Crispy beef rolls ($15 - 6 pieces) - This consisted of tender beef, cucumbers, scallions, and a savory sauce all rolled in a crispy and flaky scallion pancake. It's one of my favorite items here. Kung pao chicken ($16) - This stir fried dish is prepared with tender chicken, peanuts, and spices and is my favorite dish here. Sweet and sour chicken ($16) - I was impressed with the quantity of chicken in this dish. It was perfectly prepared with a crispy batter and a tangy and sweet sauce that really hit the spot! Pineapple beef ($16) - This consisted of tender and thin pieces of beef stir fried with some pineapple and is another solid dish to get here. Chocolate mochi xiao long bao ($11 - 5 pieces) - These chewy dumplings had a wonderful chocolate filling. Rose flavored red bean buns ($14 for 3) - I felt these were pricey but they had a good amount of filling and the bao bun was soft and fluffy. Golden egg custard buns ($13.5 for 3) - These are similar to the red bean buns, except the inside has egg custard. I really wish they doubled or tripled the custard, because the amount they give is miniscule, and it's for that reason I would pass on these. Overall I'm impressed with many of the items here and the pricing is reasonable. Even though I've tried so many dishes here, I wish they had even more offerings that didn't have pork. I'll definitely be back.
