We had a great time at Long point campground! The sites are spacious, and every one comes with a fire pit, picnic bench, and power outlets which made it easy to relax and enjoy the outdoors (while still being able to charge our phones!) We reserved a site with water access. Our site easily fit two large tents, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. The bathrooms were as clean as a campground bathroom can be, but the shower water pressure could definitely use some improvement. There's also a small store right at the entrance, which was handy for grabbing snacks or ice. Our only real issue was with the check-in process. We arrived after sunset and, despite waiting twice, there was no one in the front office. Since we'd already paid online, we decided to head to our site and set up. The next morning, we tried again, but still no one was around. Eventually, we flagged down a staff member who was not very welcoming and came off as rude when we asked to check in. Having someone available at the front office, especially after dark, would make the experience smoother for guests. read more

We go camping here every Memorial Day with a group of friends. It really is a wonderful campground. Almost every site is waterfront and most have access to launch your kayaks directly. The prices are pretty reasonable, about $50 a site for water and electric with a firepit and table at each site. The view is beautiful and we almost always see dolphins and manatees swim by. We usually book our site a year in advance but they recently changed the policy that non-residents can only book 6 months out so we will probably have a little more trouble getting a site. There is not a lot of shade so it can pretty hot and the mosquitos and noseeuns can be very intense even during the day. I ran my thermocells almost non stop this trip. But the view makes it worth it. And no visit to longpoint is complete without a stop at the store at the entrance to get the super delicious fish dip. It's a little pricey but yummy! read more

it is 3:30AM. I have camped here for three days and every night there are fast boats doing speed trials or racing nearby on the lagoon. in addition in the last hour there were at least 4 long freight trains to the west traveling through with horns blaring. During the day we get traffic noises and sirens blaring from east and west of us. Perhaps RV's are soundproof, but don't expect a quiet setting if you are in a tent. read more

The fire pit had a grille on top so you could cook right over the campfire Our site had water and electric. The sites are double a normal campsite size. Park just let's anyone in and any kind of dogs. Manager is absolutely rude after y move in. My dog severely attacked by a service dog ha ha n I have pd out just over $6,000 so far to save him. My husband and I somehow got super lucky and scored an amazing spot here for two nights on thanksgiving week. Most all of the spots are right on the water with the exception of the middle field spots. Check-in was quick and easy and the campsite was well maintained. They had 3 bathrooms onsite, a playground, boat docks, and several open fields to play frisbee or kickball. Most everyone had a boat or kayaks and majority of the guests stayed in campers while others stayed in tents. Our truck bed tent was one of it's kind this trip. Fishing was great as my husband and I both had luck right off our lot. We also faced the beautiful sunset in spot #63 and saw lots of dolphins over the course of our stay. The lots each have their own hookup to water and electricity so bring a hose and extension cord for your stay. We will definitely be back! read more

We took our NEW 1990 motorhome here the day we picked it up and slept in it that night. This is a really beautiful spot right on the water. All the campers and staff we encountered were very friendly. All sites have water and 3 electric choices in a nice tower with a light on top. Many sites allow you to put your small boat or SUP in and out directly and there's also a ramp for bigger boats with motors. Not a ton of shade as this is a barrier island. All facilities seem to be nicely kept up. At the entrance to the park there's a general store and bait/tackle shop and a cute restaurant that sells souvenirs too. This is a Brevard County Park. If you want to book a weekend night, especially during the high season, you have to book Friday and Saturday. You'll find BIG rigs here all the way down to ultra light tents. There's a playground for the kids, each site has a fire ring, and there's a big picnic shelter too. The front gate is locked at night for security but all campers receive a combination lock code. Can't wait to go back and stay longer! read more

This campground is a few miles north of Sebastian Inlet State Park. The park is very big with a lot of sites. There are a few camp sites that have an amazing view of the bay. This campground is actually a island so even in the hotter months you get a nice breeze, hot breeze but hey, at least it is a breeze. Pros: 1. Some water front camping available. 2. Boat launch. 3. Swimming in the bay. 4. Playground. 5. Clean restrooms and showers. 6. Fishing in the area. 7. Most sites are grass, little dirt. Cons: 1. Small sites, smaller than average camp sites. 2. Absolutely no shade, summer months a fan is a must! This park would be perfect if it had more trees! Otherwise this parks makes a great get away for those who like camping near water. While not on site, roughly a mile away is a small bait and tackle store so anything you forget you can pick up there. read more

The lady's running the front were rude and during our stay we got asked to move sites bc another person was coming in wasting half a day doing so and ruined our plans for the day also no one ever came in to that site that day , the site we were moved to had very low water pressure and no service or internet so it was a inconvenience and when asked about a refund for the day wasted Lisa walked away from the conversation and gave us a number to call above her and the guy is out of town conveniently not a good way to treat guest who pay to stay here . the power was also going off and on causing the Landry not able to finish on our last day also was a huge inconvenience they need a better attitude or different management I'm not at all happy with how the way the staff treated me and my family with no effort to make things right I would not recommend this place unless you plan on being out on the boat most of the time even then you might be called and told to move sites like the guy next to us and ruin your fishing something to think about... read more

Nice park surrounded by the river and ocean. Staff is very accommodating. There are no dump stations on sites, but can dump on the way out.

When i was searching for the perfect campgrounds within a couple hours north of Ft. Lauderdale, I found Long Point Campground (pets welcome).. Every park employee we came in contact with was super nice (Samantha was extremly helful on the phone)! Every spot isnt THE best spot, but they all seem to be nice spots. We were site 11 and it was one of the best spots, so were the neighboring sites 12 & 13.... When you go, you MUST walk across the wooden bridge to visit Scout Island... I think you can primitive camp there (based on another review)... Its beautiful, a great place to hike (about a good hour to walk it), have a picnic, fish, time alone, whatever you do, take the time to check it out.. We saw Dolphins in the Indian River Lagoon right from our site.... Mantee trails and beautiful birds... Mother Nature truly is amazing - They have Fire Pits which also double as a grill... This was a must for me since my car was alreay packed, I didnt want, nor have room for a dirty pit or campstove in there too so I wanted a place that had it (side note: Manatee Hammock does NOT). Although they had it, fresh water and electric was not a must for but a method of cooking and warmth was (it was 48 degrees the 1st two nights) that made for an enjoyable campfire! They have restrooms through the grounds (1 per loop I think). I noticed one bldg had showers and laundry too.... And, there are stores nearby juuuuust incase you want or need anything... Because we spent Christmas 2018 at Longpoint, it will always have a piece of my heart... This was a nice campground that I will visit again (after I expolore more of thier beautiful county camp grounds).... read more

We stayed on Scout Island with our Boy Scout troop and it is a picturesque and interesting place. Scout island offers primitive camping, so I can't evaluate the entire facility. Good fishing as one boy in our group caught a small redfish right from shore. Lots of fisherman working the channel. The showers were clean and the water was hot though the pressure was nothing to write home about. Lots of snowbirds taking advantage of the waterside camp sites. Great wildlife watching as we saw a lot of seabirds and even a few bottle nose dolphin. If you are up for roughing it camping in a picturesque setting, I recommend Scout Island. read more

The campground itself is awesome, clean, and beautiful.....however....the staff, ALL but 1 man were RUDE , Each one of them were all on separate pages about the rules, etc. Understandably, they have just opened back up at 50% capacity due to covid. So basically they were booking every other site. Which actually is nice bc you have more space, but my family booked 2 sites together, under the same name. We requested to be together, obviously. Well that didn't happen. When we first pulled in we were greeted by a rude lady who yelled "stay in your truck"! We told her our name & site #. She came out and INSISTED we go to site 101. We tried to explain to her our family was already there and IN site 101, so we needed either 103 or 99 , but she insisted 101. She said "they are all the same" (not true) anyways, we go to site 101 and say hello to our family and sites on both sides of them were open (2 to 3 sites each side) but we were forced to go into 107 which was 5 sites away from our family, our long camper wouldn't fit in spot. We TRIED. went back to office and told them we can't fit and asked if we could have 103 which was next to our family. They said no bc someone else was coming in that spot next day and staying longer, another lie bc they also said he had a longer camper than ours and if ours wouldn't fit then his wouldn't....well his camper was SMALLER than ours and he came next day and stayed only 2 nights and he packed up & left before us. We ended up having to put our camper sideways in site which would've and was ok for the 1st night. On day 2 this other rude lady on a golf cart told us we went over the line by 2 feet so we had to move our camper! It was an empty space beside us for one thing, for another the staff the first day had no problem with it. When we asked about being maybe on the other side of our family we were told NO bc 2 sites were booked together as a "FAMILY" ! Really?!? This is the point we were trying to make the entire time, WE booked TOGETHER, and got there first and would've FIT better together but each and every staff member told us something different. We weren't given a paper with map or rules, and one lady told us to refer to that. We told her we didn't get one but she said "yes you did". So it was inconvenient having to carry our food & stuff back and forth with the baby and all the stuff. They could've easily accommodated us but chose to be rude about everything and drive around in a golf cart measuring if ppl were crossing the lines, driving a golf cart without a drivers license and then the last day we were eating breakfast and a different lady said "just reminding you checkout is 11"!! Loved this campground. Great sites with access to the water and a place to put your boat in the water. Awesome little docks and bridge to fish off of. Fire pits at all the water sites which is so great. Loved the location, across from the beach and very family friendly camp ground. Had awesome neighbors. Even had a filet station for the fish you catch. Only complaint is the dirty bathrooms. They were not well kept At all and the showers were really nasty. Didn't like the clear curtains, much prefer a solid color for better privacy. If they upgraded and cleaned their bathrooms more frequently they would totally be a 5 star campground. read more
