Chinese take out definitely is cheap and fast And got lots of choices. I do it at least once a week. They have lunch special around $7 plus a drink My favorite item to order is either chicken/ beef broccoli or mushroom chicken. The pic I included is large chicken broccoli $10 include a large rice as well. It's good for 2 people. I like they have lots of broccoli , try to be healthy while eating take out xd. We also like to order wings as well. It's not like American style. It marinate already, sometimes can be but salty ( so we usually got coke as well) but it's really crispy and juicy. Once a while should be fineeeee. There are few Chinese take out near my place. They all taste pretty much the same. I think they order the sauce from the same company. This is one of those american chinese joints which serve greasy and unhealthy fried foods. I mean for real this is not the best food you can put in your body. Look at the prices when you buy cheap you get cheap. Why if I am driving a Cadillac that I would refuel with cheap gas. But since I pass by 99% of the menu its the one percent that matters and it is their vegetable fried rice. Wow this is the best veggie rice in the neighborhood. Other places are so cheap that when you open the container the veggies are hiding behind the grains of rice. Yea for real can you imagine vegetables hiding behind grains of rice. There is big pieces of Broccoli and peas strewn about. They other items purchased are shrimp rolls and fried chicken wings. The shrimp rolls are hit and miss sometimes really really greasy. The chicken wings too are like 2 big ones and 2 smalls its crazzy the size is not uniform. Service is fast and friendly never been treated badly and its best to call for pickup. My go-to takeout restaurant growing up. I can't even count the number of times I've gone here but this place never disappoints. Everything I've had here is great- from the authentic to the typical takeout fare - their soups (wonton, hot and sour), egg rolls, beef lo mein, curry chicken, pepper steak, chicken with broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, fried chicken wings with fries, etc etc. You can't go wrong. Prices are a steal. I've been spoiled by this place because I've never found a place as solid. Considering the quantity and quality of food, it's unbelievable what Long River provides. Even a decade later, you can get the lunch special (main entree plus fried rice plus soup or drink) for less than 5 dollars. In 2016. (!!!!!) This place has been around for as long as I can remember and I hope that it never goes anywhere. The store has changed slightly over the years but it's always as good as I remember. It's unassuming with a few tables to eat in, but they have a loyal takeout following for sure. At a few points, they had various gaming machines/ claw machines in store that I would play as I waited for my food... Not sure if they're still there though. I really had high hopes for this place as I've read the reviews and expected to have a good enough experience. Prices aren't too bad and I guess you get what you pay for. I asked for the lo mein but I didn't get noodles!! I instead they gave me veggies with chicken and some fried stick things on the side??? Idk I've had chow-mein and lo mein before and never have I had it served like that! Also the fried rice is not the best and there's no flavor at all. The chicken that came with the veggies was chewy and it grossed me out with its texture. The fried dumplings have a weird taste and the inside filling doesn't seem appetizing after biting. This place has been around for a long time. My family for reasons love their Chicken Fried Rice, and it is good. So that's what we order anytime we need to Chinese take out. At the physical location of the reataurant itself, there is place to sit and eat, but take out is naturally preferred. The food here is typical Chinese food take out, so that's that. Because of food quality, I don't believe that this place will be out of business anytime soon. read more

This Chinese deli was so great. I enjoyed ordering chow main and fun from here. The main was with large volume and less oil. It was pretty healthy than another one at the 59th Subway. The shrimps were fresh, as well as the veggies. The deli was large but somewhat empty. Haha there were more take-out than dine in. Lol read more

The food here is really good, probably better than any other chinese takeout restaurant in the area. I've ordered delivery from here many times before on the phone, as well as went in person. In fact, I just ordered delivery a few minutes ago. So why the 3 stars? Because the guy that takes your order is a complete joke. Get ready to experience the rudest customer service ever. You truly get the feeling that you are "bothering" him whenever you order whether it is in person or on the phone. He will often make you repeat your order on the phone with a arrogant "I can't hear you." He will sometimes hangup without asking if there is anything else you want to add or to confirm your order. This is the reason why I couldn't specify a part of the order this time, and made me aggravated enough to sign up on Yelp just to write this. I know this is chinese takeout and you can't expect much, but this is stupid. I have also seen him basically talk down to customers in person. Because there can be different people taking your order, you can identify him in person since he is a tall asian that wears glasses. On the phone, if you've ordered enough times, you'll easily recognize his arrogant voice. To be fair, the rest of the staff there is not like him, although there is a 80% chance he will be taking your order on any given day. If you care only about the food, this is a 5 star review for the restaurant since the food is great. I guess it is really my fault for interrupting him so often by placing orders. I just found this place and my first time the food was just OK. The beef is not very quality and tasty, kind of plain, more vegetables in the dishes than meat. I ordered from them a few times because I couldn't find a good chinese place. As I kept ordering the food got worse and the service too. They forgot my eggrolls last time that I paid for, they give me diet coke when on the phone I clearly state coke. Also, they give no sauce and seem to forget things on every delivery order which was about 4 or 5 for me in the past 2 months. The broccoli in the chicken with broccoli dish is hard and cold like they literally just cut it and shook it around a frying pan for like 1 minute. It is not fully cooked and the meat is not that cooked and hot either. The least I ask for on delivery is the correct order with ALL items I pay for as I cannot go back to request my egg roll when I am busy at home and ordered delivery in the first place. I am from Ohio and the chinese food is better there. Brooklyn has been an utter disappointment and this is so called "china town" of brooklyn and this is my 5th chinese restaurant I tried and nobody wowed me yet. read more
