I have taken both of my dogs here and they were great both times. When I took one of my dogs in for an injury they gave her medicine and even called a few days later to see if she was improving. I took my other dog in for issues that they suspected to be allergies. The vet explained things very well and they had the medication that we needed in the office and they were able to give it to us before we left our appointment. read more

I can't tell anyone better things other than the fact that I felt so at peace while my kitty was in their care. I noticed my cat having some problems and I had never taken her to a vet here in Huntsville. I was nervous to drop her off with random people I hadn't heard much about, but they made sure my kitty was taken care of. Due to COVID19 I could not be in the office or in the room, which made me very nervous to not be there for my cat. But, the girls upfront and Dr. V made my process smooth and easy. I recently visited this vet clinic as I am a resident of Huntsville and just adopted a kitten from a shelter. I normally never leave reviews but seeing as I came on here when researching to find a place to bring my pet I thought this might be helpful to others. My cat had a few dry spots on her so I called and made an appointment to get her looked at. Now they are very busy so it took a few days to get her seen so definitely call ahead but I had an amazing phone call. The workers were super nice and helpful. I went in and they were very friendly. Got seen very fast and they checked on her and the vet came in to let me know everything that was going on. Price was very reasonable even with the medication they gave me and everyone was so nice. I will be continuing to go to this clinic while I live in Huntsville and I definitely recommend to anyone that needs a vet. read more

CANNOT BE TRUSTED! LOVE YOUR PET? AVOID THEM! Recently we lost our pet of over 16 years took him to Long Vet Clinic to have him cremated and ashes returned to us. The Vet assured us it would be a private cremation and ashes returned to us in an urn with his name and pawprint on it. We paid them 200.00 for this service. Next few days checked with Long Vet Clinic when ashes would be returned. Each time I called got a different answer. Finally called Pet Cemetery to maybe get an answer. Was told he had already been communally cremated and ashes buried not privately cremated as promised by Long Vet Clinic. Therefore there were no ashes to be returned, no urn, nothing. They told me that our pet had been mislabelled by the clinic. Instead of being tagged for private cremation he was tagged for communal cremation. The clinic simply refunded the 200.00. Did they offer any compensation for their stupidity or for the grief and sadness they created?? Hell no! read more

Could not ask for better care for our teacup Chihuahua. Dr Greene comes from Houston 3 days/week and is very knowledgeable about small breeds. They have also waited after hours for us to bring in hurt wild animals we find out where we live; they care for them however needed never charging us or expecting us to be responsible for them in any way once we drop them off. I've been bringing my dog here since I got her two years ago!! The vets and techs always answer my questions even though I have a lot of them and are always very nice. The waiting room is also set up kind like a living room and very comfortable which helps if your pet gets nervous. They will treat your fur baby like their own!! Definitely recommend!! read more

Even though we live in Conroe, we take our 3 dogs to Long Veterinary Clinic in Huntsville. These fine Vets are honest, compassionate, and reasonably priced. Yesterday our poodle Zeus had to go back to Dr. Vodehnal for a recurring illness. I was just thinking about how kind, compassionate and knowledgeable he is. He took Zeus to the back to give him subcutaneous fluids and I could hear him talking to Zeus the whole time! "You're a good man, Zeus. Look how tough you are! That's right buddy, it's almost over." I know he didn't know I could hear him (I have exceptionally good hearing), so he wasn't doing it for my benefit but to comfort Zeus. He remembered when he saw Zeus last time and the time before that and noted the changes in his behavior. I can't say enough good things about this place. This staff is amazing! I haven't met the vet yet (kind of a good thing) but the techs and reception workers are very kind and helpful. The only place I can compare it to is Best Vet, back in Austin. This was my second visit, and I came today for a quick nail trim. The tech that took care of me has a teacup chihuahua too, and knew how to handle Foxy. He even took the time to jab with me about the chihuahua-isms and weirdo temperaments they have. Keep being awesome fellow rat-dog fan! Also, while I was waiting to check out, a staff member went ahead and took my card so I wouldn't have to wait to pay (I wish they had this system everywhere!) and didn't seemed bothered at all when I asked super last minute if she had any vaccines due. I had a dog and cat that I took to Dr. Long. Upon the first visit, I went to pick up both animals and they had done NOTHING during the day that needed to be done. Then they brought out the wrong animal (cat) insisting that it was mine. I finally lost it, asking one employee if it was his first day!! Second visit I had planned to have my dog spayed. I made the appointment in advance, dropped her off, then received a phone call that afternoon saying that they couldn't get to her that day. Sorry. I have had NOTHING but bad luck from this clinic and it usually always comes from the office staff. I will not be going back and I have gotten all of my records so that I can transfer my animals to another clinic in Huntsville. read more

Worst place ever! First off, they didn't tell me where they were taking my animal, they just picked up her carrier roughly and took her away. They didn't ask me if I knew their normal procedures as a first time visitor to their facility, so I wasn't aware this was normal to not be with your animal when they were doing something to them. All other Vets I've been to I I've been allowed to stay with her. I sat anxious because my cat has never been out of my sight at a vet before. Then all of a sudden I hear her screaming loudly. I asked the front desk staff why she was doing that and they said oh I'm not sure ma'am I will go take a look. He never came back. The vet brought her out a few minutes later and said she "didn't like them cutting her back feet and didn't like being away from me" and then told me to relax. She has never screamed once from getting her nails trimmed EVER, and she gets them done all the time. When I examined her nails they had cut down to the pink part of her nails on almost all the nails of the back paws. They talked down to me and were rude. I left completely distraught and upset. DO NOT USE THIS VETERINARIAN!! My cat won't let me touch her feet anymore because of what they did to her. If I could give this place a zero I would. read more
