0 stars would be given if that was an option. Absolutely ridiculous. They just want your money and they don't care about what you have to say. I made an initial appointment for my kitten to get checked out because tractor supply said she was positive for worms. They tested her poop which turned out to not be her poop (i have 3 cats and it was one of the other cats) and they pointed out the first time that it was a bit big for it to be a 6 week old kittens poop. Test was negative of course and i called and asked if they could test her actual poop this time and they said yes. So i made another appointment with them because they fixed their mistake. I made a rabies vaccine appointment and told them twice on the phone i just needed rabies. They quoted me 45ish dollars give or take. When i actually went to the appointment that should've just been a vet tech appointment the vet came in checked her out again and said they had no record of us being there. So i sent the documents they needed AGAIN and they came back and said they'd give her the FVRCP but not the rabies. I refused and said the whole point of us being there is for the rabies shot and they were very hesitant about it and didn't give a reason about it. Mind you my kitten is 12 weeks old. So because of the vet coming in touching her saying "she's good!" They charged me 70$ extra and the FVRCP it was 160$ instead of the original 40$. They just want money and are greedy. I wouldn't go here if it was the last place open I'd rather drive 5 hours to a different place. read more

We moved to the area this summer and brought our pets here for their annual check ups and medication refills. The tech and vet were thorough and knowledgable without coming across as preaching or condescending. One of the receptionists, I don't remember her name but she has long black hair, even followed me out to my car to help bring carriers in and offered a bowl of water for one of our pups when we arrived. Unfortunately, one person could possibly deter us from returning. Kendra scheduled us and was informative on the phone, but I felt like she didn't LISTEN to me because she was too focused on trying to push her agenda. The day of our appointment, I noticed she rudely took over the other receptionist trying to check us in and tried to upsell extra vaccines, tests, and switching preventions. I was taken back as I did not want to discuss it in a lobby full of people (I'd also rather discuss with the doctor and her assistant because our pets are seniors and change is huge). She finally lost her patience with me and dropped it. When we returned a several months later for their bordetellas, she was standoffish towards us. Whatever she was doing on the computer was too important to look away to greet us or the couple behind us. I understand that people have off days, but this was 3 separate interactions. I've never felt inclined to leave a review but these interactions are red flags read more

We'd only lived in the area for 2 weeks and our older dog, who had cancer, took a turn for the worse and it was time to allow her to cross the Rainbow Bridge. A neighbor referred us to Stone Ridge and we are so happy she did. In my first phone conversation with Kendra to set the appointment, I felt we would be in good hands. Aubrey, the assisting technician was wonderful and I can't say enough about how she and Dr Ana Teague showed sincere care and compassion to us and our fur baby making the whole experience of letting go a little easier. Stone Ridge treated us as if we were longtime clients, not brand new to their practice. For that, I will be eternally grateful. read more

The service is awful here. We will not return. They do not care about our dog. We have a goldendoodle and we keep taking him in for an ear infection. Nothing they prescribe will get rid of it. Each time we call them back they want us to pay another $200 for tests and an office visit. It is not our fault that they don't know the correct medication to prescribe for him. Our poor dog cries because he is in pain and they do not care. They are all about money here and do not care about our fur baby. He is 8 years old and we have NEVER had these issues. Normally the vets we have used in the past will prescribe something and it will knock it out quickly. We told them we would find another vet and they said fine and just emailed us his records. We will never return and don't recommend their services. They should refund us the $400+ paid since they never even got rid of his ear infection. What a rip off!! read more

I went to get a nails trimmed on my dog (Lucy 15 years). They tried to get records from a former vet. They ran a test on the liver - the cost me. It came back less that what the former vet was saying. They gave me pills that made my Lucy throw up - 2 days in a row. I was furious with the vet and demanded they reimbursement for the pills. The estimate can in at $734.47 and the charge was $79.28. OUTRAGEOUS ! I will never recommend them to anyone ! ! ! read more

Unfortunately they refuse to work with chewy and will not allow prescriptions to be filled by them. You'll have to drive back up there and get the prescription hand written and mail it in to chewy (one can only assume this is done because stone ridge makes no profit off of selling the medication). They've tried to upsell me during every visit with extra things which I know how to avoid but the chewy prescription thing is a little petty of them in my opinion to do. I'll look elsewhere to take me three dogs and foster dogs. read more

One of my cats had a super swollen paw one Saturday morning. This place immediately said yes we can have you do a squeeze in please bring him in. The lobby staff was very friendly and helpful. The medical staff was thorough and attentive. Raita got weighed and examined and given a shot and some oral antibiotics and we went home. They texted two days later to check up on him. I was so happy I didn't have to drive to or pay for an emergency vet. We adore this place! read more

Been an established client , this morning i called to let them know i need to bring my cat in for day of hospitalization due to diarrhea . My cat is also diabetic . By the time i was getting him in a carrier , his glucose dropped to 68!!! I rushed there as fast as i could . Walked in and said out loud "I HAVE AN EMERGENCY!" The receptionist rolled her eyes at me and said have a seat . 10 mins later i see 2 techs sitting on the couch in the lobby talking and laughing . I told them i have emergency , my diabetic cat is crashing . They went to the back . Finally the receptionist came back out and asked me to go in the room and have a sit !!!!! Which part of EMERGENCY is not clear ???? Never asked me what is the emergency. Was my cat hit by a car , attacked by a dog or is about to go in coma . I said im gonna go to emergency room if u are not going to triage my cat right now and she said ok go ahead! So i rushed to ER , my cat almost died . I called the manager "mindy" to complain about their disgusting action of medical neglect and her respond was " i was making a sense and the receptionist did nothing wrong ! Both should be fired. And also dr. Kitten never bothered calling me to check up on my cat . Ans she is the primary vet on his case . They dont care about ur animal . Honest disclaimer: we hadn't taken our dog to the vet clinic since we moved to Conroe. I know, super sorry of me. We had bought her OTC meds for he heartworms and fleas, and she got her shots at a mobile clinic, but a real vet we hadn't found yet. So, we did what every self-respecting human should do - we looked up on Yelp! for guidance. We were not disappointed!! I arrived on time and the front desk staff were expecting us. The staff was super friendly. They treated people like life-long friends. They asked questions to my boys, and knew their names and ages by the time we left. They were very honest and upfront about prices and what was good for us and our dog. My boys were well behaved because there was Looney Tunes on the TV in the exam room. I am a pretty new customer to this wonderful veterinary clinic, as I took my German Shepherd for a check up and some shots last fall, but I am very impressed with the service I have received so far. I took my 14-year-old cat to the veterinarian yesterday because of possible allergies. They were kind, caring, and very patient. They took the time to ask questions about my pet and were very sweet to her. When the doctor came in, she was very friendly and thorough in her examination of my pet. When it came right down to it, they did not try to milk me for every dollar. I was written a prescription for an over-the-counter allergy medication. I was actually surprised because most veterinarians want to run urine and blood work and it costs several hundred dollars before you leave! Not this place. I was very impressed with their professionalism. I highly recommend this veterinarian, as all the staff are friendly and cordial. They also have a boarding facility, which I look forward to using this summer. read more

I Love Dr. Pettyjohn!!! She takes care of my lil one "Riley" (Yorkie) just as if he were her own! I am not a "new" client...I had another little baby "Mowgley" (Yorkie) who was 17 and he was my whole life!!! He got Cushing Disease and passed away and I thought I was going to die of a broken heart! Dr. Pettyjohn called me a couple of times just to check on me and see if she could do anything to help. That was truly a wonderful feeling to know your "baby's dr" truly cares for you & your lil one! Very recently I've reconnected w/Dr. Pettyjohn with my lil baby Riley and it was No Surprise To Me They Were Instant Buddies She was sooo good with him. The Vet Techs are all very good too! And it is easy to see how well they work with Dr. Pettyjohn, it's like a small family working together, and I love how they all love my little Riley! read more

*** Note: I left this same review for "Willis Animal Clinic" as it is listed in Yelp with the same address. *** My coworker found a small puppy (about 6-8 weeks old) by the side of the road on the way into work that looked like he was in bad shape, so she picked him up and brought him into the office. She brought him to me for help to figure out what we should do with him. He was covered in fleas and was just overall raggedy looking, so I started looking for vet clinics in the area where he could get the treatment he needed and also stay during the day since we couldn't keep him at the office. I called a few vet clinics in the area that were regretfully booked all day, but one of them referred me to Stone Ridge Vet Clinic (Willis Animal Clinic). I spoke to Breanna over the phone, and she was very understanding and helpful. She said that she would put me down as a drop-in if I could get there within the next hour. I left work immediately and brought the puppy into the clinic. When Breanna saw how bad of shape he was in, she asked if I would be able to stay and visit with the vet, so I was more than happy to do so. Right away, she said she could put us in an exam room where I finished up some paperwork and was quickly seen by the veterinary tech, Chelsea. Chelsea was very sweet and empathetic and also helpful when I asked her a ton of questions. She took the puppy to weigh him and examine him, and when she came back, she said it'd just be a few minutes before Dr. Hay would be in to see us, and that's about how long it took. After a short wait, Dr. Hay came into the exam room and was very informative. He explained the puppy's health issues and what they could do to treat him as well as what I could do to help in his recovery. In addition to his professionalism, Dr. Hay was also friendly and comforting as he could tell I was worried about the puppy. All in all, the staff was very supportive, and I am so grateful that they were able to take us in on such short notice. Breanna also gave me the option for later appointments to drop off the puppy (as well as the dog I currently 'parent') during the day and pick them up after work, which helps so much with my work schedule. I definitely recommend Stone Ridge Vet Clinic to any pet lover as the staff there is so warm and welcoming and will treat your pets with love and care. read more

Willis Location: I wouldn't recommend this vet and I won't be going back. A few things to mention. My 90 lb sedated dog was put into his harness wrong. I didn't notice until I was home and tried getting him unstuck for a few mins. The vet tech dropped off my heavily sedated dog into the room and didn't say anything. I was left feeling uneasy wondering if he was ok (could barely stand and was falling). They seemed rushed through the process and not informative. Dr. Bedore lacked compassion and showed no interest in my dog, didn't talk to or pet. On their website it states "A board-certified radiologist reviews radiographs and likewise our ultrasounds are performed and interpreted by specialists." I was disappointed and surprised to have just Dr. Bedore interpret the X-ray results and to say it would be $300 more for a radiologist to review. Then the vet tech comes in after and tells me it'll only be $10 more for a radiologist to interpret. Big difference. Point is there shouldn't be any fee as their website portrays it to be automatic/included. I requested a radiologist to review for only $10 more. I never got a phone call to check on my dog or to tell me results from radiologist. ***update:they called 3 days later to tell me results. read more

I was concerned about my dog & called Stone Ridge. They asked if it was an emergency & I told them no, but they still managed to get me an appointment within 30 minutes!! When I arrived they were as friendly as always. Dr. Pettyjohn checked my dog out, found the problem, & treated him. We are home now & he is happy & able to rest. The clinic has always been very professional & has all the latest technology to treat my pet. Thank you to all the staff & Dr. Pettyjohn for always caring & giving my dog the best treatment possible. If only there were a zero star. I cannot express my disappointment. I've taken my dog there from the moment we brought him home FIVE YEARS ago. This is the only vet center my dog has been too. I've spent nothing short of $200+ every visit for five years. At one time I've spent $700 or $800 because my dog is family. My family and I are not in a place to spend $200 + on a visit this month. My dog is due for his annual check up. They are holding my dogs Bravecto hostage until I can make it in for the check up. Brave to is a flea & tick medication. I can see he is uncomfortable and I explained that to them. We can make his annual check up next month but we just need his bravecto right now. They will not work with us. They do not care about our pets. They care about money. After five years of loyalty, well over $1000k spent, they can't work with me. I've recommended well over 3 people to them. Never again. They lost our business. I will be sure to tell everyone I know. I never leave bad reviews unless it's absolutely necessary. I am more than disappointed. Veterinary Centers are supposed to be about loving animals. Not blinded and motivated by money. What a world we live in. read more

I love this veterinary clinic!! The vets are amazing! My babygirl Lilly is so comfortable going here. I love all the staff that work here. Maggie is amazing! I don't have to tell her who I am or who my babygirl is. As soon as she notices we are there she immediately smiles and greets me and Lilly. The staff show that they truly care about you and your pet. I recommend this vet clinic to everyone! I truly enjoy the visits and I know Lilly does too. Plus, they really work with your budget and are amazing with calling you back for follow ups and checking on your pets after their visits. 10 stars! read more
