Easy to get in, great for minor animal issues. We have taken our animals here for their shots and some skin issues. The vet & assistants were nice and answered my questions. Literally THE BEST ! Dr.Einck is so patient and understanding , my poor Obi got into my ibuprofen and was on the verge of death but Dr.Einck swooped in like Wonder Woman and saved his life. A vet who listens. Had used another local vet who twice ignored my worries that my cat seemed lethargic and her litter box had almost no feces. Was ignored and told cat looked fine. Well pet staff listened and gave cat simple stool softener and changed kitty's life. Now more active and shiny coat she is "regular" and in better health. read more

tl;dr: This vet, Dr. Einck, took us in on a Saturday when everyone else turned us away and did more than anyone should have asked of her. She is a vaccination and preventative care doctor. She saved my dog's life today, and I will never stop recommending her to everyone. (cross-posted on facebook and yelp) I don't even know how to begin. My dog hadn't been feeling well when she began stumbling and her eyes became sunken this morning. I recognized this as an immediate medical emergency that will require fluids, if not antibiotics and other supportive care, and possibly surgery. The cheapest emergency vet quoted me a minimum of $2-5k to perform diagnostics and respond accordingly and at least $1500 to provide supportive care until Monday morning when I could get her to her vet. Her vet was out of the office this particular Saturday, and I drove to vet clinics all over Huntsville to see if they would see me while on hold with other vets in Conroe and Willis. Out of desperation, I finally settled in front of Well Pet Place and just waited for them to open. I was handling it, but inside I was distraught. From the moment their door unlocked, this doctor and her staff went above and beyond. She repeatedly explained that her services are limited and she does not have the machines to deal with an emergency, as she is a vaccination and check-up clinic. She had every right and reason to turn me away. Every other vet that I had spoken to dismissed me to an emergency clinic because of the remote possibility it was a bowel obstruction (due to a possible chicken bone being eaten 4 days earlier, despite having no vomiting). The vet came to the car (COVID era) and looked at her and immediately recommended I take her to the emergency clinic. What happened after is why I recommend her. I explained the cost issue and asked if she could help at all. No vet owes me an emergency appointment at 10AM on a Saturday, as Huntsville Pet Clinic and 11th St. Vet both denied us. I understand they may have had plans after work or not been feeling well or just didn't want to squeeze an emergency visit in on a Saturday. I am not even saying that this vet would ever do this again, but I am saying that when she had the opportunity (and the ability) to help a pet in need beyond what her clinic offers, she chose to do so. It speaks to her character and the value she places on our pets. She didn't get stuck on a bowel obstruction diagnosis as soon as she heard "chicken bone". Its highly likely she figured that's what it was, but she wasn't dismissive. She let me know she could do limited testing for kidney and liver function and possibly prescribe something for the immediate discomfort my dog was in, but her recommendation is to leave and go to an emergency clinic. During the exam, in my whirlwind of emotions, I actually asked the vet to show my dog what she was going to do before she did it, and she accommodated that. In retrospect, it was a ridiculous request, but it made me feel more comfortable in the moment. I've been with my veterinarian clinic for 12 years, and they are wonderful. I think its important to have the same dr. for the pet's life, but honestly, I'll continue to go back to this vet for visits as well, simply to support the business. Dog update: she prescribed antibiotics and pain/inflammation meds and gave me directions to follow in case I did not follow her advice to go to the emergency clinic immediately. She also let me know the symptoms that would indicate my dog is starting to die and that I definitely could not wait until Monday to take her to the vet. Our pup is currently responding well to the care the vet gave her and other supportive care I can provide at home, but someone will be watching her around the clock to see if we need to get down to the emergency vet. Her eyes aren't as sunken and she's walking around and wagging her tail, so I think she will be okay until at least Monday when we can get testing. read more

We love Well Pet Place and Dr. Einck. She is a wonderful caring vet who spends a great deal of time with her patients. We have had animals for over 45 years and she is one of the best! Her prices are reasonable (my daughter from Houston would say "cheap") so it does not break the bank for an office visit or shots or meds. When our Great Dane Butler was dying of lymphoma and we finally had to let him go she actually called me and talked to me right out of the blue helping to ease my mind that we had given him a great and loving life. What vet does that? The front office is simple yet nice, and you are paying for vet services not a fancy place, which I prefer. If there is something she is unable to do, a specific test due to not having every piece of veterinary equipment, she will tell you up front and suggest another place to go. She is loving, caring, with our animals and us (we have 2 dogs and 2 cats) and best of all you can get an appointment when you need one. I also like being able to order flea and tick and so forth online and its shipped right to you so you don't have to go in on a special trip to get it. We live 35 miles from them so this is very convenient. Give her a try you will love her! read more

I brought my cat here after her incision came open from being spayed. The Dr was so patient with her. It was like it was her pet she was taking care of. The vet gave my cat an antibiotic and some cream for the incision. Within 4 days it had pretty much healed up. The Vet here is awesome! I would highly recommend the Well Pet Place for any of your fur baby needs. read more

Totally love going here! When we first got our puppy she had a bacterial infection in her stomach everyone was so friendly and helpful! Momma (our dog) absolutely loves going here and every time we pull into the parking lot she gets so excited. They handled her chipping and shots and made sure she was comfortable and didn't cry once!
