The guy behind the counter was more interested in his conversation with his co-worker and got frustrated when I asked about bundle prices since they weren't marked (it's the price per item in the cooler - no bundle discounts). Then he seemed frustrated that I was looking at all the meat they offered. The grey bacon in the case didn't look appealing, so I passed on that... I ended up purchasing a 6 pound box of breakfast sausage and 5 pounds of ground round. I should have checked the price tag - they charged me 50 cents more per pound and called it chuck instead of round. Ugh!

Like yesterday, I was looking for a smoked pork shanks to make bean soup and the head exactly what I want the price was easily within the price at local food stores.

The quality of the meats is top of the line and they will cut to order. They have a wide variety of meat bundles in various prices to meet every size of family need. I drive 40 miles from Imlay City to Flint because of the all around quality of this little shop. This comes with 4 meats, 4 sides, and 4 pieces of Cornbread. I got Pulled Pork, Brisket, Smoked Wings, and Ribs ($8 upcharge) for my meats. From best to least it was Ribs, Brisket, Smoked Wings, and then the Pulled Pork. I would get the ribs and brisket again, but probably pass on the wings and pulled pork.
